  1. Brilliant. Looks like the dealer told me a porky on that then. Mine seems to be the Amundsen?
  2. Thanks man. I did luck out with some of the options; not convinced it actually is a Columbus. But that is what the sales guy told me; now I look at it I am unsure. Canton is pretty decent, but I will be upgrading to a larger woofer at some point.
  3. Yes it opens right back, or just in steps if you prefer. Inside it has an internal shade too. I can get some more photos later
  4. Yes pano roof(one of the main things i wanted), power boot, heated seats, keyless entry, Columbus sat nav, canton sound and heated mirrors.
  5. I guess I should have popped this in the bud thread area? Could someone move it please? Sorry
  6. Great stuff. Welcome along and enjoy the ride
  7. Great looking car . I need the black pack
  8. Do I need to go to the dealership to do this then?
  9. Ooh. It's lane assist. I didn't know I could get that activated. I'll look into this.
  10. After test driving the Golf GTD, looking at countless other brands and discounting them all, I am now the proud owner of a 2015 Octavia vRS estate. I spent ages looking for the right one and embarked on a 10 hour roundtrip to test drive and buy it on Sunday. The traffic was unbearable on the way home, but the car made it a much better experience. In the short term I am planning to give it a really good clean and wax, address some slight scratches to the rear bumper lip and invest in a black grille surround (cannot believe the previous owner didn't spec the black pack). Longer term i'll be considering suspension and performance upgrades.
  11. Welcome along. I hope you manage to sort your Bolero issues out.
  12. Mega photo. I'm just getting into photography. Do you have a website?
  13. Lovely looking car. Did you own a Skoda or estate before?
  14. Newbie error. I honesty just read the OP question and posted.
  15. Personally I'd shy away from a sponge for all the reasons mentioned. Check out Dooka wash pads - they are the business. My local detailer recommended them to me and I find them great. They hold loads of water, rinse out great and work well on the stubborn stuff that wasn't removed by pre-wash.
  16. Good evening all. My name is Richard (Rich) and yesterday I became a proud owner of my first ever Skoda. After much deliberation I decided upon a fairly well specced Octavia vRS Estate in meteor grey. It's been great so far, especially having never owned an estate (I prefer to call it a wagon) or DSG. Do people do 'build threads' (apologies if this isn't in the lingo - I also have a couple of classic minis). I've a few ideas on some subtle final touches. Any how, great to be here.
