  1. If I was in the position of having to make an insurance claim I’d be happy to have the OEM glass fitted and then get the window tinted again at my own expense. Most insurance companies from experience have a small excess for the replacement of vehicle glass as they recognise that it can easily be damaged and equally easily replaced.
  2. The majority of car crime is by opportunistic smack heads looks for something to sell on to get the next fix. If it’s on open display through a clear window they will go for that vehicle rather than one they have to spend time peering into close up. So by making it harder to look in you are reducing the risk.
  3. Back to the original topic of tints…. What grade of tint is that dark smoke or limo. Also did you get the tailgate tinted the same or slightly lighter to make vision easier? As for insurance, you’ll probably find it’ll be cheaper as you’ve improved the security.
  4. Have it, have it on the wife's Juke ( don't laugh) and I'll have it on any car I have in the future. Once you've had it you won't go back. Try and get a test drive without and with 360. Let her drive.
  5. I went for the Meteor Grey. I liked the colour, it looks good on the Sportline IMO. And as it's a lighter colour I figured it would help to keep the car interior cool. But it's all down to personal choice. No big black skirts on the sportline which I think gives it cleaner lines.
  6. Having had both full leather and part leather/ part alacantra in a number of cars over the years I'd definitely go for alacantra. So much more comfortable in any climate. As for gloomy inside, never noticed - perhaps because I'm too busy looking where I'm going and enjoying the ride! Oh, Sportline every day of the week!
  7. And for France you'll need a breathalyser kit as well as high vis vests for every passenger. I think you have to carry a spare bulb kit as well. Probably a first aid kit and a fire extinguisher as well!
  8. Did you use OBD11 to turn on TSR? Be interested to know how you did it as it's about the only thing I haven't managed to activate yet! And yes I've got the correct camera. 2020 Sportline.
  9. I just use the boot liner that I had in my superb. Cost £35 from roofbox. They do one for the Kodiaq as well, but this will do for now. It's flexible enough to bend if you want to use the third row. Which I'll probably use about twice, ever!
  10. I had the drivers assistance package, which comes with lane assist, 360° vision and park assist ( when I'm brave enough to trust it!) amongst other gizmos. I plan to add the traffic sign recognition when I get the time long code.
  11. I just used the application in the OBDeleven app rather than the long code above
  12. Yes it can. Did it myself with an OBDeleven
  13. Yup, I can do the same with Spotify and Android Auto.
  14. That's what happens when one tries to update ones profile on the mobile whilst walking the dog! Should be correct now.
  15. Well I said I'd upload a couple of photo's when the weather improved! Ordered 12th August, delivered 11th January. Sportline 150 DSG, diesel. Oh and dash of Gtecniq inside and out!😁
  16. So the handbook refers to the phonebox, in some areas, as having wireless charging. Is this the case for UK spec vehicles? I'd check but my phone doesn't have wireless charging, but I'm looking at upgrading my phone so it's a consideration.
  17. Short answer - no. But if anyone knows how I'd like to know as well!
  18. Cars arrived today. And I'm happy to say as ordered! Photo to follow when it stops raining!
  19. Whose the dealer? I should be getting mine delivered on Saturday morning and I've been assured it's got everything on that I asked for. You can bet I'll be checking!
  20. I've had Carista and to be frank it was crap. Now got the OBDeleven with a pro licence. Simple enough to use and also easy to build up your credits balance. You need credits if your going to use the built in coding apps rather than taking the risk of long coding. My advice would be to go to the OBDeleven website and see what the apps will do for your vehicle. Then balance the cost of the OBDeleven against the cost of the options as a factory fit. You'll be quids in!
  21. I might go down the route of removing the 12v socket and replacing with one of these.... https://www.amazon.co.uk/Charger-Waterproof-Voltmeter-Motorcycle-Display/dp/B07XQ8JD8N/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=3I9X6PQKUDKWZ&keywords=12v%2Bdual%2Busb%2Bsocket&qid=1578319504&sprefix=12v%2Bdual%2Celectronics%2C154&sr=8-1-spons&smid=A2FAEO4ON67DMG&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExOE9KMllQSEZYWDlXJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMzg5MDA2MUYwVklYWERQWEQzMiZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNDAxNjI3MlZSRE4yQzRHMTVOTSZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU&th=1 I would include an inline fuse in the fitment to allay the fears of the doomslayers! Providing it's easy enough to remove the 12v socket. However before I do that I'll try the socket adapter first.
  22. Yes.... having looked at both photos it would appear that may fail the 'is it really worth all the faff?' test. Ho hum, might have to go for the plug in adapter.
  23. I have posted this on another platform but would welcome any suggestions... As I understand it the Kodiaq comes with a double USB charging point in the phone box if the vehicle is destined for mainland Europe but vehicles destined for the UK only have one. Does anyone have any experience of swapping the single over to a double or ideas where one might get one? It's can't be that hard to do! I use Android Auto all the time so I need a power/data connection for my phone. The other outlet would be for SWMBO phone to charge it. From an aesthetic view twin USB's are neater. A twin USB cable adapter doesn't provide a data connection and the 1.0A output would take for ever to charge a phone. Most modern phones need a minimum of 2.0A to charge and run apps at the same time. I use cables with a 5.0A rating. A multifunctional charging box frankly looks a mess and a plug in 12v twin USB adapter doesn't solve my problem. TIA
