  1. Hi guys. Im just looking for opinions. I had a Superb 2 combi a few years ago and it was excellent. I've more or less got my heart set on a Superb 3 combi but I'm not sure what to be looking out for having been 'out of the loop' for a while. I really like the look of the Sportline but am open to options. For my budget (£16k or so) I'll most likely be looking at a 2016 - 2018 example. I definitely need diesel. Are there anything I should be looking out for or avoiding, maybe in terms of Engine size, Gearbox options, trim levels, optional extras fitted. As far as I understand and remember, the 1.6 and 2.0 CR engines are fairly bulletproof, but I've never had any long term experience of a DSG box. My Superb 2 was a manual and was great. Hopefully this isn't all too vague. Cheers, in advance

  7. View Advert 2014 (63) Skoda Superb MK2 1.6 S Greenline. So here we have my beloved Superb which I have cherished for the past 4 years. Many members will recognise this car, particularly as I post pictures after each detailing session . The best and most rare colour (in my opinion!). Please check my gallery. The basics; 2014, just ticked over 150k miles.- remapped by Big Fish tuning to a sensible 143bhp when I bought it on 92k. This transformed the car and has made it simply a pleasure to drive. This has been driven only by myself since then and has been treated with the genuine mechanical sympathy and driven properly. The car has wanted for nothing, ever. As soon as something even slightly starts looking or feeling worn out, it gets replaced. It has never skipped a beat EVER and drives like a new car. This year has included a new battery (properly coded), new boot gas struts, new number plates. Last year, new brake discs and pads. Gearbox oil at 100k. I also replaced part of the drivers side door loom after the common problem of the wires becoming brittle this year. It has been serviced every 10-12k by myself, using usually Millers oil. The car has upgraded genuine LED number plate lights (properly coded). aftermarket reverse sensors which look as close to OEM as you could possibly get without actually being so! 17" VW classixs wheels with custom skoda centre caps (see pics). Upgraded to Amundsen+ head unit. Hill Hold/XDS coded. Genuine boot mat, genuine carpet mats..... the list goes on. Full size spare and tools. I also have a set of genuine winter wheels with brand new Bridgestone Weather controls, these may be negotiated in the price. I've probably missed things, so just DM me. £3200 or near offer - Rowlands Gill, Gateshead. I need the car to be sold by Saturday or it goes to WBAC which would be so disappointing for such a well cared for and loved family car. I would love to see it go to a good home. 8. I love a good gadget! Have you got a link for it? Any more gadgety delights?
  9. This head unit looks awesome. I see you're in Bulgaria though.... is there a make/model?
  10. @Walder have you seen my posts? I've literally given you the genuine part number you need twice in this thread, including a link for the item. Why are you entertaining the idea of fitting an Octavia one instead?!
  11. Hey guys, As title, what are people using these days? I'm a little out of touch
  12. A-Plan good. The guy was excellent and got me within £10 of my next best quote but with the addition of protected no claims and £200 excess rather than £350. I'll probably go for that.
  13. Swinton wouldn't quote... waste of time. Do they definitely do modified cars?
  14. Just tried. Over £200 more than my renewal price with current provider
  15. And here is the link for that genuine part: http://www.skodaparts.com/product/superb-rubber-boot-mat-2008-2011-21305
  16. This thread should help you. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/364733-superb-estate-mk-ii-boot-liner-standard-boot/ The correct part number is DCD800001 Apparently listed for saloon but fits estate.
  17. There are two versions, you have the one meant for the cars with the rails either side. I also have the wrong one in mine! ( no rails, gaps either side).
  18. Great job! I recently did this job on mine, its really not that bad at all once you get the door card off and just really take your time. Although its definitely a job I think I could do again in half the time now I've done it once!
  19. All cleared, the two ignition raleted ones return instantly. They are just permanently there, not intermittent. Also, I've noticed the radio isn't switching off when removing the key
  20. Getting a strange issue on our 1.2 yeti... Sometimes turn the key and nothing happens, or there's a short delay and the engine fires as normal. I've pulled up these fault codes,; The Ignition switch has been changed and wiring checked... no obvious damage. Faults still come back. The intervention load management fault is more intermittent.
  21. Same issue. I just pulled them off, cleared off the old adhesive from inside the seal, cleaned the mating surface of the wheel arch (front and back) and used a good bead of gutter sealant i had spare in the 'hollow' of the seal. Simply pushed back on firmly, which sends the bead of sealant up the inner and outer edge of the arch lip. They should have been done at factory like this, the adhesive on the oem part is rubbish. They will certainly not be coming off again! A good cheap (free) fix. I wouldn't personally bother replacing the parts, they will just come loose again. Save your £40+ and just clean up and refit the originals with some good adhesive sealant.
  22. Tayna batteries do an Exide 096 AGM battery for our cars for just shy of £100 delivered. Coded in myself using vcds. Be sure not to get ripped off.
