Well took the bull by the horns today and took the dash out to change the speedo needle bulbs. Replaced the rev counter ones at the same time so they would both be the same brightness. The guide in the files section was really useful, all went well and the only fiddly bit was getting the needles back on, push too hard and they make a clicking noise doing the sweep, don't push enough and they don't sweep or they fall off. Bulbs are fiddly wee beggars to solder onto the circuit board as well but they were cheap at £6 for 25 of them.

Thank you, great guide.

The speedo needle has stopped lighting up on the dash of my Mk2 FL vrs. I hope to replace all the leds when I take the dash out. Are there any walk-through or YouTube videos for guidance anywhere, especially for the needle removal / refitting procedure. Have seen a few different threads about led types needed and some about needles refitting badly. Any guidance appreciated.
Thanks.

No replies so I bit the bullet and purchased a HEX-V2 kit from Gendan.
Awesome piece of kit with great service and delivery. Set it up on the
laptop, plugged it into the car and 15mns later I have full Bluetooth
phone and music streaming functions facilities on the Amundsen+,
just waiting on a microphone to arrive and that'll leave it ready to use.
I did try to contact a few registered VCDS users on the map but all with
the exception of one were reluctant to help.

Hi All,
Just bought a VRS Octavia with Amundsen+ Sat Nav/DAB fitted. After using the forum search facilities it appears that Bluetooth can be
enabled via the VCDS, and I then need a microphone. Is there anyone from Co Antrim or in Northern Ireland available to do this for me
today, tonight or asap. I can bring the car and beer tokens provided. :-)
