Did the Mk3 PFL ever have the trims down the windscreen sides next to the A-Pillar? ie like the mk7 Golf and so forth?

So currently having issues with a noise when turning left and right. It even happens when on lock and reversing or moving forward. it’s only recently started and I have the Eibach pro lowering kit I also have white line adjustable drop links (these are secure and not moving that I can see) I have the power flex dog bone insert. I have just changed the n/s driveshaft thinking it was the cv joint but it’s come back. I know the brake pads are around 75% worn but have never had the pads making this noise before whilst moving in the callipers. Not sure what else it could be. Have read about the gearbox mount under the battery holder. Any suggestions would be great as when I seem to try and show someone it doesn’t do it. Which is blooming typical. have added the link for the video which I have on YouTube. as unable to load the video directly as too large.

I have my engine remap and DSG remap done by Celtic Tuning. Not a bad tune (had an issue with the car and thought it was the tune) but was the car. lots more power. In Manual mode the gear will not change and will hold the gear until you change it. In Normal “d” mode it’s pretty similar but the Revs when the gear actually changes Is a little higher. It will also hold on to second gear unless I come to a full stop. Sport mode is more aggressive than manual mode (to me anyway). Look for someone that will let you test the car once it’s done. Would recommend getting an engine remap if your going to have the DSG tune as well. If your going to do it make sure the engine and DSG tune are done by the same company as their software would have been produced together to give you the best tune.

You can use obd11 to turn the volume up. I turned it off as it drives me nuts. Have a miltek cat-back non res exhaust so prefer that instead.

Find out which pads they are. Sometimes 3rd party lads move slightly in the callipers. -

Mine done exactly the same thing I turned the soundaktuator off completely drove my head in. Have a decent exhaust you still get a slight rumble. -
Have a look at @SashaGrace post about her car as she has done this already. I bought her previous larger screen from her also and for me it was a plug and play as already had the apple car play and sat nav. I literally just wanted a bigger screen.

So could it be that?? Would be ideally benefit you if you go to another dealership and just ask them to listen as well? -

I cant say i have ever noticed the noise myself... Did you have the bonnet open when you recorded the video? -
I don’t think they would have forced the service book. The car has to be serviced before you take ownership of the car and for audit purposes they wouldn’t be able to fudge that either. The only reasonable wxplanation would would be the technician when doing the service light reset didn’t do it correctly causing it to come on earlier than it should. Not ideal I know but these things can happen. You have to understand from the other dealerships perspective they can’t reset the service light if no service has been done/on the skoda database as if something happens to the car or you they are liable. Hope this helps a little more. I know it doesn’t help with the situation but more for understanding.

Post your Mk3 Octavia photos!
Madmax889 replied to Torchythomas's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
It’s on the crease line so a simple repair might not get rid of it completely. -
I got the car with the p zeros which I hated. They had no grip whatsoever really did not have confidence in them when I first drove down to cornwall in the rain as well. Eventually one got a bulge so changed it for two Michelin PS4 S tyres. These are brilliant, plenty of grip they make you more confident with the grip. Yes slightly more £££ cant tell you a mileage wise at the moment as don’t do crazy mileage in the car.

Also had a thought make sure you check the tyres. Make sure they aren’t feathering.

Hi have the miltek cat back exhaust non resonated and never felt vibrations under the seat or the window vibrating. It is definitely more droning at motorway speeds though. Has the exhaust been fitted correctly and is sitting on the hangers correctly?

Post remap discussion and a little bit more:)
Madmax889 replied to georgemilev's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Just out of curiosity have you looked at other sites that do remapping? Just to see what the rough idea of what gains you will get? Celtic Tuning is me. Had my 220bhp TSI remapped yesterday got 304bhp just have a little look on websites to see the general rule. See if it stacks up to yours. -
@SashaGrace how easy is it to install the puddle lights? I don’t have that feature on mine so is it a pig to fit/wire?

That’s only if they are part of the fixed price servicing. As not all are. -
