Rough Idle
1: Its not the back of the engine I just meant to the back of the engine on the hose coming from the PCV valve at the back of the PCV valve. 2: At the bottom of the sensors themselves. It never really goes to the top just a the bottom of the sensors. I have changed the seals but it still happens. Should I just bite the bullet and replace them as well?

Rough Idle
Hi All I have a mk3 Tsi ea888 i have now noticed that the idle is vert rough. I have not yet changed anything was hoping for some guidance here where to start. I'm due a service in 800 miles so the spark plugs will be changed (I do the spark plugs on every service roughly 6-10 months) including the oil and filter. Im currently at 62,000 miles should I think about changing the coil packs as well? 1: I have noticed some oil coming off the PCV at the back of the engine not sure there should be if any there at all? 2: I have noticed some oil on the crank shaft position sensors at the bottom of the sensor. Should this be the case? 3: Engine seems noisier like a diesel also when idle. Driving normally is ok. I tried uploading an image and video bit for some reason I am unable to. Where should I start first?

Space Saver Question
I have a vis with (2016 pfl) the tyre size on it is 225/35/19. I have been given a space saver with the size 125/70/16. would it be too small to use? I am not sure on the space saver specs required. Thanks for your help.

Alternator Pulley...
Yeah. That was the same as mine. It’s blows of the black cap the only issue is the back of the pulley itself as some are recessed and some are flat. Mine was a flat one. To be fair it didn’t take too long to replace to be fair. I would recommend getting a pulley kit from Amazon I think my one was £25. Basically saving £400 not having to buy the whole alternator from Skoda.

Alternator Pulley...
So to give you guys an update . Have changed the pulley and it's been fine since. Have ran it for about 2 weeks now with no issue in regards to that. The pulley I used was this one; https://www.autodoc.co.uk/ina/2386771 you will need the tools remove it though as well. Luckily we had them at work already.

Alternator Pulley...
That’s what i think. My start stop is still functioning so the battery is still ok. Just want to replace this before I delve into the £517 for a new alternator. Just wondered if anyone has had to replace there’s previously and if so what did they use. If the clutch is seized does it need the whole new alternator?

Alternator Pulley...
Thanks for your comments. It’s defo coming from the pulley. The pressure builds up which boots the plastic cover off. There’s oil/greasy substance literally splashed directly opposite this. Battery was replaced last year as it was old and turning the car on was getting sluggish. This is recent. No other leaks that can be seen

Alternator Pulley...
If someone has replaced there's already and know one that's fit that would be great.

Alternator Pulley...
Hi, can anyone point me in the right direction of where to get an alternator pulley? Mine has decided to boot off the cover and start leaking oil. Went to Skoda and they don't sell it on its own only with the alternator for £517. I have looked online and everyone I look at shows it's not a fit. Has anyone had to replace there's? Windscreen Trims
Did the Mk3 PFL ever have the trims down the windscreen sides next to the A-Pillar? ie like the mk7 Golf and so forth?

Steering noise (clicking/popping noise)
So currently having issues with a noise when turning left and right. It even happens when on lock and reversing or moving forward. it’s only recently started and I have the Eibach pro lowering kit I also have white line adjustable drop links (these are secure and not moving that I can see) I have the power flex dog bone insert. I have just changed the n/s driveshaft thinking it was the cv joint but it’s come back. I know the brake pads are around 75% worn but have never had the pads making this noise before whilst moving in the callipers. Not sure what else it could be. Have read about the gearbox mount under the battery holder. Any suggestions would be great as when I seem to try and show someone it doesn’t do it. Which is blooming typical. have added the link for the video which I have on YouTube. as unable to load the video directly as too large.
