  1. @inspectorman , thank you for your reply! I probably sorted my problem now. Pads should be correct, I've found similar pads here, with same number: https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/3q0698451m-brake-pads-rear-ate-ceramic-30850.html @D402 thanks a lot, You are my life saver! I was able to adjust springs through the wheel and took the car for short spin. Now I even think brakes are more responsive. I owe you a pint! 🍻
  2. I replaced my rear brake pads and discs. After few 1000's of miles discs are still worn just a little, as you can see from picture, there is still paint left on disc, (fig1 on picture). Also, when i drive slowly on stoney road, I can hear rattling from pads. When I release electronic handbreak, I can freely move pads, there is quite a lot of movement up and down. Pads are TRW ga8135fg from vw parts dealer, so rhey should be good for my car. But for me it looks like the gap on fig.2 on picture is strangely big. Any help, please?
  3. Few times I refused customers (aka d***s) and they slammed doors really hard. My theory is, this can make micro tears in plastic and some random high volume music will finish the job. Lol, for few months I had big piece of fabric squeezed behind speaker inside of the doors, to push magnet back on place and it worked temporarily, until fabric got wet . This week I was finally brave enough to use rivet gun for first and probably last time in my life.
  4. Replaced with OEM. But would like to squeeze some small woofer in my car, if possible.
  5. Hi, I recently replaced my front speaker and I am surprised how it can be fragile, magnet just fall apart. Not sure, if this happened because of loud music, degrading plastic or slamming the door. If your speaker starts to play badly, it can be time to replace it too. I followed YouTube video how to disassemble doors. Needed: new speaker, spare plastic clips (because they often break), drill (to remove old rivets), rivet gun with rivets (preferably thicker and longer) and washers (maybe not necessary), 10mm wrench, screwdriver and patience.
  6. @Leanardp , I apologise for question, my first language is not English. Apart from gas struts, did you have to buy also some ball studs? My car is 2016 hatchback, but I assume it will be similar method to replace electric struts. Thank you.
  7. Thank you very much for answer! Yeah, I checked belt. Charging was sometime on after starting of cold vehicle, but mostly off. I suspected problem with worn brushes in alternator. My mechanic (they are electric specialists) told me it needs to be replaced as whole unit, even before touching the car. That made me little angry, because on my old superb I replaced brushes, voltage regulator and bearing for few pounds on my own. But I was under pressure now so I pad £280 for new alternator and fitting. Thanks again for your time!
  8. I dont want to start new topic, so asking here. Car started to give warning about battery not charging. 127k miles on the clock. With engine off there is 12,2V on battery connectors, with engine on is 11,8V. I have suspicion it is faulty alternator. Just want to ask, before taking it to service: can it be something else, what I can check? Thanks for any answer.
  9. I have bought exactly the same battery from Tayna as in post above. Anybody can tell me please, what shortname/code of manufacturer I have to code with OBD? It is Enduroline. Does it even matter what comp code Is there saved?
  10. Hello! My left front speaker disintegrated, back magnet just hanging out. I am looking for replacement and found this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/373082901603 I dont speak german much, do you think thats ok for my 2016 superb? Its normal audio system there, no canton.
  11. Thanks, bought obdeleven with pro licence, now slowly collecting free points 😁. Just for anyone who wants reset to variable oil service with obd11: don't go through the aps, it will change to fixed interval and you will waste your credits. Reset oil service through coding and change oil quality to highest. This will reset service interval to variable. Happy christmas!
  12. It seems for me that both devices can do the same, but obdeleven can be purchased cheaper for unrestricted amount of cars?
  13. I apologise if asking in wrong forum. I read here often about vcds. I would like to buy it, for some small things on my 2015 superb (variable service, start/stop..) But there is so many vcds's on internet and I am little bit lost what to choose. Can you point me to some recommended one, please? Preferably without subscription. Thanks a lot!
