Broken front speaker replacement

Featured Replies

Hello! My left front speaker disintegrated, back magnet just hanging out. I am looking for replacement and found this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/373082901603

I dont speak german much, do you think thats ok for my 2016 superb? Its normal audio system there, no canton.

It will fit, but that's only the start of things.

Not 100% sure, but presume the standard stereo has a separate tweeter(top of door/behind mirror) and mid(the damaged speaker you have).

Changing to a two way speaker (your Ebay ad) might make things sound funny or bad.

If the door speaker has nothing in the middle of it, might be worth looking for a direct replacement.

But as a minimum replace both door speakers.

Plus connections might not be a direct plug and play.

If you change the speaker should you change also the tweeter?

Si cambias el altavoz, ¿deberías cambiar también el tweeter?

It's convenient, yes.
