SDHC Cards Contents - Sep 2017.docSDHC Cards Contents - Sep 2017.doc I had a Yeti for 11 years, with 10 SD cards supplying (my choice of) music through the Bolero system. Occasionally I'd have to change the card but overall it coped well & was easy to operate, maintain & (when necessary) update. The enclosed list indicates the eclectic nature of my tastes in music, and the system served me well. The numbers in brackets indicate how many albums by that artist are on the card. When I was looking to change the car, decided on the Karoq, and discovered that the 2023 model no longer had SD card capability I looked around at alternatives and came up with a flash drive in the usb slot behind the gear lever. By adding a right-angled adaptor I am able to leave the flash drive plugged in and close the sliding cover. This did mean, of course, copying all the music from the sd cards to the stick, but the stick holds the contents of all 10 sd cards, with room for more if I ever get round to copying any further 'gems' from my music library. I have everything in .mp3 format - I did consider .flac and/or others but figured that as good & quiet as the car is its interior cannot replicate the acoustic environment of a concert hall, and I find .mp3 to be acceptable. In addition, of course, .mp3 does not require as much disc space as .flac. KenONeill - It's a technical thing with the format in which Skoda have 'put up' the webpage - as confirmed earlier by varoom it is not in downloadable .pdf form. Attempting to use the Chrome "Print" command (either ink to paper or to create my own .pdf) produces a garbled mess (as varoom has also discovered), and the (presumed) only way to use either of these methods would be, as varoom stated, to screenshot each page individually & then print the resulting .jpeg(s). I suspect the manual has been uploaded in HTML (or some other basic programming language), and quite why Skoda should not provide a download facility escapes me. It's not as if the subject matter is like pirate downloads of films, music or TV programmes, and Skoda HAVE provided downloadable .pdf versions in the past. In addition I can't see that their would be a massive increase in costs to them in doing it. Referring to a post from another contributor, I do not wish to download & print the whole manual - only (potentially) some of the pages that are online only, and which the paper manual points out are only available in the digital version. Perhaps, in the overall scheme of things, 10 or 20 pages/sections. I can't think that it'll do much good but I'm thinking that I'll give Skoda a ring this afternoon & ask the questions of them. You obviously can't see the problem, so perhaps I'd better explain it in (metaphorically speaking) words of one syllable. Have you considered that some people, for whatever reason, might be physically unable to use a tablet or smartphone ? Would you care to reconsider your responses in this thread taking into account such a possibility? IanPerry316

1 or 2 of the responders in this thread have stated that clicking on this link has taken them direct to the owners manual (they don't state which edition) - but I'm in the other camp - clicking on that libk takes me to a login page for Skoda Germany which requires a password. It's tempting to wonder whether anybody is actually getting direct into the manual as they claim. IanPerry316

Thanks, Daveybm, but my model is tthe 2023 version, with several features as standard (and some as optional extras) that are not included in the 2021 version, and for which the paper handbook that came with the car specifically states I must go to the online digital version of the handbook. Simple problem, as explained previously (& confirmed by other posters who have tried) - this version is not in downloadable form, and cannot be printed except (as far as I & at least one other have discovered) by taking screenshots of every individual page & then physically printing the screenshots! How logical/customer-friendly is that? IanPerry316

Why should you have to pay for a full manual - I've just paid £30K+ for the car? I would also ask, given the problems several members on here have encountered in attempting to find the solution, whether what's on offer on that link is the full digital version of the manual - particularly pertinent given that it appears to be an american site.

1. I'm not registered with Skoda, Germany, so don't have a kennwort (password) 2. If I were I think it's reasonable to assume that anything accessed via this link would be in German. 3. The question remains - why is there nothing in English that is downloadable or printable?

kodiaqsportline - please read again my post last Friday regarding the web page now used to host/display the manual, and then take into account the comments by varoom above. KenONeill - I was tempted to respond immediately to your comments but saw no real point until the above response from varoom appeared. I repeat - there are no means available on the page to download anything, and trying to print anything (using the three dots access to Chrome's settings only produces a garbled image. I've yet to try a screenshot (& print of the resulting .jpeg) but I can't help but think that that would be an extremely time-consuming process, extremely costly in terms of ink usage in printing the whole screen, and I have to ask why what should be a relatively simple process should be made so difficult. If Skoda were to continue to put up the manual as a printable/downloadable .pdf the problem is solved. If they subsequently need to update any particular page - no problem. Page updated & new information available to anybody who needs to access it. varoom - Thanks for your post - hopefully some readers will see that it isn't just me - you have described my problem extremely succinctly. (At one point I did start to wonder whether I might be in need of a little more learning/practice in the use of computers - I started with an IBM PC-XT in 1974(!) so obviously I could be said to have a lot to learn.

Dazm - I have the paper (booklet form) manual that came with the car but as stated in the original post it doesn't include all features/functions of the car (see second line of my original post. kodiaqsportline - By using the link you quote I reach the page on the attached image (as did the dealer this afternoon). There is no facility on this page to download this version of the manual (either wholly or in part), and even trying to print it (to paper or by saving as a .pdf) produces a semi-garbled page of little or no practical use. I would repeat - it is the latest digital version of the manual that I'm trying to obtain - it contains a great deal of things that are not included in the paper version that came with the car.

I am attempting (after 4 weeks of ownership) to get to grips with some of the more technical settings on my SEL. In the (booklet) manual that is in the car, several features are referenced "details available in digital version of the manual" (or something similar). Going online to the URL on the back cover of the booklet brings up a (presumably) more detailed manual but the relative webpage(s) include no provision to download the digital version. Given that I had to provide the VIN as proof of ownership/entitlement I can't see why the download of a manual for my car should be restricted If I'm sitting in the car attempting to change various settings a digital manual displayed on my computer in my study is not much use to me. I engaged in 2 Live Chat sessions yesterday (via Skoda UK website) to attempt to resolve this - it's obvious that this part of Skoda's aftersales service is sub-contracted to southern Asia, and basically I got nowhere. Their final suggestion was to contact the dealer & ask if they could download the manual for me - can anybody suggest a way out of this ? I visited the dealer this afternoon on another matter & raised this query. They were also unable to put forward any solution. It seems I'll have to phone Milton Keynes - I wonder if any of the staff there know enough to come up with an answer !
