VC OBD11 Help
Thanks for info but I’m confused now as byte 2 only allows me to select or deselect the existing bits. also, 08 is that the byte number? I found an option for vehicle variant without changing any of the coding but doesn’t allow to select the second option

I just had my first wheel alignment on the superb and the rear seems to (inexperienced eye) a big tiltcompared to the front tyres. What setting are people running on for 19inch wheels.

Best (in place) battery charger?
Thanks all for the great info. Given my knowledge was very limited I followed CTEK advise “charge all auto stop/start batteries using AGM mode” and just found out my battery is EFB. could I have caused damage to the battery by using the AGM mode two days in a row?

Superb III Virtual cockpit retrofit
If have canton sound system you will this: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/333114505827 The main optical cable I used was: AU $17.29 19% Off | Most optical fiber Install wire For liquid Crystal Virtual Cluster For VolksWagen Golf Passat B8 TIGUAN For A4 A5 B9 8W Q5 Q7 https://a.aliexpress.com/_dVtTq4w For the trim part I don’t have the part number sorry. The dealer could help. On the steering I kept my original MY16, so not sure on that.

Superb III Virtual cockpit retrofit
I done it and I can tell you it’s not a DIY job. You need someone with access to ODIS - that’s the most important thing after the VC itself. If you have a canton sound system you will need an optical splitter from one to two connections. Also, you need a new trim between the VC and steering wheel due to the VC lower body design is different to the analogue dials (the existing one won’t fit)

What have they done to this superb?
I know this is probably crazy but thinking of purchasing a second superb from a stolen-recovered auction. I’m hoping it will sell for around £5k due to the extend of damage. It’s a 280 with full service history and was last serviced in December Seeking some advice to see whether anything else looks out of place in the engine bay and cabin? I found the following so far missing engine cover, lack of coolant and incorrect air take. I’m not able to work out what the fuzzy marks in the screen and interior trim are but I would guess some kind of finger print liquid. so far the risk seems greater than the reward.

Battery replacement or something else?
It was replaced by the dealer. Seems like the likely cause, I’ll call Skoda assist to confirm if the battery is the issue.

Battery replacement or something else?
So something bizarre is happening with the car: I noticed the following yesterday and today before starting the car: The Kessy system stopped working (key battery replaced today) Coming home / leaving home fog light stopped working The boots lights stopped work The cabin lights don’t work when the door is opened. Ended up going for 5 mins drive to the local shops to grabs some essentials by the time I got there everything started to work. Come back to the car and everything is off again. The battery was only replaced less than a year ago. I checked the status via the Skoda app it’s showing 14.7v with engine on and 11.5v with engine off. Are these signs that the battery need to be replaced again?

What have you done to your Superb III today?
- What have you done to your Superb III today?
Upgraded my car from 2015 spec to 2019. The highlights being: MIB 2.5 + 9.2 screen VC Frameless mirror gloss black air control unit sport pedals- More changes to the sleeper..intake & rear
- VC retrofit
I managed to source a used VC from a wrecker with low miles. Is it possible/easy to do a retrofit? Do VC have component protection? Is easy to transfer mileage and setting ? I’m currently running latest MIB2.5 Columbus which I believe is compatible with VC integration. - What have you done to your Superb III today?
