Just today my drivers door wouldn’t open with key fob but opening with the key manually , the red light stays on . All other doors locking and unlocking , might take a look at the wiring does anyone have any ideas.

One of the master cylinder nipples snapped last year ,obvs never been bleed there before , yes might try to back bleed the system , thanks if that mate

After replacing front pads , discs , osf caliper , rear shoes and drums + fitting kit. I have then bleed the full brake system starting from the bleed nipple at the nsr , osr , nsf then osf , there wasn’t much air but pedal is ok , still spongy. i didn’t notice that the adjusters at the rear shoes could have been doing with a clean due to corrosion , I will be doing that this weekend .

Yes might try that on Monday I have shoes also for it

Yes it's been well looked after , first owner was a woman for 120k , so not a taxi , she traded it into my work and one of the boys bought it then I bought it lol , as a mechanic i look after all my cars .

Mines is a 1.9tdi , I actually bought the car to sell but it's runs amazing with 154k on it , I have desided to keep it , o didn't know the mk1 vrs were only petrols

No won't be rallying lol yes I seen the bump stops where looking a bit worse for wear , do you have a vrs diesel ?

Recently bought an 2004 diesel Octavia , my rear top mount broke , while replacing the top mount I found the rear shocker to have lose its pressure. Can anybody advice on a heavy duty shockers for the rear or some sort of upgrade, it's seems to be the only things that let's this car down. many thanks R
