  1. I have seen it. I'd need to try and dig out the paperwork they gave me as it was a long time ago. I'll look tonight see what I can find.
  2. Yes. The noise was sorted. It was some sort of brace that had failed within the dashboard. The garage took it back in to look and they stripped the top of the dash off and that is what they found. It's been fine ever since thankfully and they didn't charge me anything which was very good of them.
  3. Yes the auto hold was turned on in terms of the system was active but the car was being held in the hand brake so the red parking brake light was lit on the dash not the green.
  4. The trailer is unbaked and rolls fine in my garage and front garden at home. The 2 passengers are my wife and my 2 year old son. And as for the load in the boat its just camping equipment. Although a boot full of gold sounds good. Any ideas of what could be wrong. Could it be clutch given it does not seem to be slipping or is it possible the car can lack power but run OK in terms of it starts stops and goes in a seemi gly normal manner. It just seems to be missing something. Thanks for your reply Adrian.
  5. Hi Just towed a trailer for the first time in my 2.0tdi 190. I have to say I am dissapointed. It feels lacking in power and hill starts I really had to rev it and slip the clutch to avoid it stalling when pulling away. I was was towing a small daxara 148 trailer probably no more than 350kg, 2 passengers and a boot full of stuff. Did the basics. Ensured fluid were all on max inflated tyres to correct psi. Just felt weak. Suppose its subjective but I've read that these pull large caravans no problems. Didn't feel like the clutch was slipping. Just had no oomph. Any ideas of what could be the problem. Car runs smooth. No odd sounds or anything. Thanks Adrian.
  6. Hi all. I have a 2016 190 sel exec. The car is now out of warranty. However the dashboard vibration/ rattle was first reported to the dealership in March last year whilst the car was under warranty. It’s been in 4 or 5 times for them to look at it. The dealership has has agreed to look into this once again at their own expense. At this stage it’s investigation only. Has anyone had this noise permanently fixed via a visit to a dealer or anything else. At this stage I’m open to all suggestions. The noise occurs at around the 2k Rev range mainly in gears 2 3 and 4. The noise generally presents its self if the car is accelerating along a flat or up hill slope. It is not so common on a downhill slope. It most commonly happens in the morning when the car is cold. To me it it sounds like plastic. I’m wondering if it’s something to do with the flaps of the air con system. The guys at my dealership have replaced the n75 valve and bracket under the bonnet on the bulkhead and relocated and fixed as many air con pipes as they can. But my thoughts as they have been from the start is that it’s in the dashboard. Each time I get the car back they tell me it’s sorted. And each time I drive it home it seems fine. But the next morning or a couple of mornings later it’s back. Ive told the dealership I don’t want the car back until they are sure they know what it is. But I have two issues I guess. Firstly if the noise doesn’t present they won’t be able to find anything. And 2ndly the car is out of warranty and they have made it clear this is now good will so I guess they can pretty much stop investigating when they want. Ive argued that they knew about it before the warranty ended, they are sticking to their guns that each time it leaves its mended because they can’t hear the noise anymore. Has as anyone any advice at all. Either about what it could be or how I can continue to press the dealer. Should I get Skoda UK involved? Thanks adrian.
