Which front brake disc size?
Erm, the reason for that is it's sitting in a car park at work. I did order some off auto doc Saturday but does not seem like they are going to arrive by the weekend, so I went onto euro car parts who said there is more than one size. So I just wanted to be sure before I ordered anything. Got it sorted now though.

Which front brake disc size?
Hi all. I have a 2016 superb. It's a 2.0tdi 190. Need to fit new discs and pads. Eurocar parts show 2 different sizes. 312mm and 340mm. Also searched autodoc who seem to suggest the smaller ones. But I'm a little confused to what I need to purchase. Car has 19" wheels. Thanks Adrian.

Noise when driving over speed bumps with light braking applied
I'd say it was more of a creak really. Just confused why it's only with the brakes applied. Could be anti roll bar. Was told service before last it was beginning to corrode but it wasn't mentioned this time round.

Noise when driving over speed bumps with light braking applied
Hi all I got an odd noise when I drive over speed bumps with the brakes lightly applied. If I go over the same bump with no brake applied there is no noise. Also makes the same noise on uneven road surfaces when brakes applied Link to the video if anyone wants to watch and listen. Excuse the dirty floor mat!!! I'd appreciate any thoughts. https://youtu.be/ik65OOXfevE?si=I5h6FHWHFinF86Wy

Weird noise from a/c superb 3
Mine does this. 2016 model. It is annoying. I popped out the centre vents and the top speaker panel (has no speakers under it in my car) and sprayed a silicone spray which shut it up for a few months. But now it's back.

Replacement windscreen.
Overall I'm pleased. This is my 2nd replacement due to cracks. The first one took 3 attempts to get right so at least this seems OK. Just the trim. I'll ring them tomorrow and see if they can send someone out.

Replacement windscreen.
Just had a new windscreen fitted and I'm not sure wether the trim around the scuttle and wipers has been put back right. Can anyone confirm what theirs looks like please.

Removing glossy bit of trim for front door
- Removing glossy bit of trim for front door
Hi all. I'm looking at trying to replace the front drivers side rubber door seal as it keeps moving backwards and catching on the rear door. I know I need to remove the door card and wing mirror but the seal goes behind a glossy bit of trim. Does anyone know how this would be held on and the best way of removing it please. Thanks Adrian.- Failed mot leaking rear shocks.
Got it all sorted. Took the car back and a mate who works for Peugeot did the shocks and thrn got it mot'd for me. Cost me just under half what skoda wanted. So bit of a result. Thanks for all the input and suggestions. I'll certainly think before taking it to skoda for mot again.- Failed mot leaking rear shocks.
I'll wait to see wether the warranty company will cover it and then I'll see I can do. My main issue is I'm short on time. The old mot expires Wednesday. I won't get the car until at least Monday afternoon due to work so that gives me a day to find somewhere. I need the car back ASAP as I use it everyday for work. Thanks for all the input though. A big lesson for next time.- Failed mot leaking rear shocks.
OK thanks. I'll have to try and see if I can get the car back as I don't want to pay that. Typical being the weekend and I'm working so it's gonna be Monday before I can get it. These are a couple of screen shots from the video.- Failed mot leaking rear shocks.
Hi all. Cars failed mot today. Leaking rear shocks. 2016 2.0d with 93000 miles on clock. Skoda have sent me a visual inspection with the prices attached saying £627.14 N/S/R Shock Absorber - Leaking to excess, advise as a pair It don't have the adjustable suspension. I can't help but feel that's steep. The skoda dealership says I can't really drive it due to changes with the mot system. I thought if the existing mot was still valid I could drive it. So at the moment it's with them. I have a 3rd party warranty that says they'd look to cover it but want to see the last 2 years service history. So I assume they are gonna tell me its wear and tear and not covered. Has anyone had rear shocks changed and how much did it cost you and was that main dealer or Independant. Thanks Adrian.- 70 plate kamiq se, no 12v socket
Ah, I didn't even think of looking under the armrest. Thanks for the help.- 70 plate kamiq se, no 12v socket
Good afternoon. Just had a situation where I've had to go and help my wife as she had a flat tyre. The car comes with no spare so I had to use the bottle of gunk and the air compressor. Now the air compressor has a 12v socket attachment but for love nor money I couldn't find a socket in the car. Not the boot, rear or front. So I'm a bit confused as to why you can buy a car with a piece of equipment that needs a 12v socket but the socket isn't in the car. Luckily I had my car so used 1 of the sockets in that. Was just wondering where 12v sockets are in the kamiq? All I see I blanking plates. Thanks Adrian.- Checklist approved used 2015 superb
Maybe listen to the boot struts when they open and close. Mine made a odd sound and even though they both worked they were both replaced under warranty but the cost of them was over 1k. The only other issue I still have is the drivers side chrome trim around the window has a habit of sliding back and catching on the back door which is really annoying. Skoda replaced it twice but it still does it. Silly issue to have but there you have it. I think it needs a new door seal. I'm unsure on the sound system software. I've never updated mine or had it updated. Everything else on the car has been OK so far. Oh, rear brakes. They seem to wear relatively quickly.- Looking to get another Superb, but which?
I must admit I'm really not interested in too many of the toys. Never used the hard drive or the CD player. The 3rd zone climate control never gets used. I like my heated seats. I plug my phone in by a lead and I like the auto lights wipers and cruise control. Everything else to me is uneeded. Oh and I do like the footwell lights. Do they come on the se l? I'm not overly bothered by the screen size I don't think. I've heard more bad things about kessy than good. My current car has an electric boot lid and even that winds me up. I mean for starters to £1000+ boot struts that had to be replaced (luckily by warranty) I just want cheap fairly comfortable motoring. I'd like dsg cause the amount of miles I do and I drive into London so it's quite stop start. Seems like se l may be the one then.- Looking to get another Superb, but which?
Thanks for the reply. Current car is a 2016 registered in early May of that year. Not sure I could quite stretch to an l&k. Se L seems to be quite good value. Seen a few out there around a year old next to no miles for around & 20k. I need as fewer miles as possible as I'm going to add a fair few. Having said that my current car had 26k on the clock when I got it and its been fine. SportLine Plus seem to work out a little more pricey. How do you find the seats on the SportLine? I do struggle to get a set up that stays comfortable on my current car I'm always fiddling with it. That's why the SportLine appealed at first when I started looking, the seats just look a lot more supportive.- Looking to get another Superb, but which?
Hi all. Possibly looking at getting a new Superb this year. Won't be brand new but hopefully a year old maybe. Currently got a 190tdi sel executive but Skoda don't seem to make that model now. I can only see SE, SE l, SportLine Plus and L&K. I was hoping to get a SportLine plus but do they only come with 19" wheels? I have them on my current car and I do find it a bit crashy. Reasons for looking at a SportLine is those seats. I'm hoping they are comfier than the half leather half suede in my sel exec, I do find my current seat a little uncomfortable. My wife has a skoda Kamiq with cloth seats and they seem way more comfy. I am hoping for slightly smaller wheels, a dsg gearbox and probably a drop to a 150 and the 190 does seem quite gruff and by all accounts does seem much faster in the real world. My daily driving is about 70 miles and I cover about 18 to19k miles a year. I did consider the 1.5 petrol but I'm unsure how economical this would be, we do tow a small trailer for camping as well. Current car has 80k on the clock so probably not going to be worth lots as a part ex Has anyone got an SE as I do quite like the look of the cloth seats with that quilted design? Also looked at SE L which seems to have leather. Thanks Adrian.- Superb 2016 columbus screen blank.
Thankyou. When I turned the car on the next day it was all OK and has been since.- Superb 2016 columbus screen blank.
Good evening. Got an issue with my superb columbus system. Got in the car to drive home tonight and the radio comes on as normal all the buttons work I believe but the screen is blank. It's backlit but there is nothing on it. I tried turning the car off, getting out and locking it and then u doing it and getting in and start up but no different. Is there anything I can do to reset it? Thanks Adrian.- Dashboard vibration being looked at out of warranty.
- Dashboard vibration being looked at out of warranty.
Unfortunately not. I've got loads of documents but not that one typically. I'll keep searching. I remember they had to remove the top of the dashboard and all the vents, and I was definatley told a brace was replaced. But what it was I can't recall. I thought I put it in a post on here but I can't find it now. All I'd say is keep pressing them because I did and mine was actually fixed by skoda outside of warranty. So I got lucky. - Removing glossy bit of trim for front door
