  1. Hi. Can anyone help. Every now and again when I press the clutch down it makes a clunking noise for a few presses then it's ok again. The clutch pedal comes back up and I have no issue selecting gears. VID_20241108133455.mp4 Excuse my wife in the background lol.
  2. Possibly the battery is on the way out. Seems to cause funny issues.
  3. Took the other mirror off. It's black blue on top so had them the wrong way round!!!
  4. It's ok I think I figured that watching a few videos. So I tested the wiring which seems to have voltage and I tested the light which seems to have resistance so I'm happy it's the light that's at fault. For the wiring I set the multimeter to DC volts put the red cable on the meter to the red wire on the plug and the black to an earth in the engine bay and got just under 12v For the light I set it to ohms and put a terminal on each terminal of the light and it said 1 which on my meter means there is resistance. Now what I have cocked up on is what way round the 2 wires go. Both fit on both terminals!!! Can't even find out what they are for.
  5. Managed to get the light out. I'm a bit thick when it comes to this. How do I test wether it's the light or the wiring to it? I do have a multimeter not that I really understand it.
  6. How do you get them out? I can't see a way from outside so I assume I have to take the mirror out and the casing apart.
  7. Morning. Noticed yesterday evening my passenger side wing mirror puddle light isn't working. Driver side fine. Are these easy to replace? Looks like it's led. Thanks.
  8. Yes I will have to get it done at some point but being that it's been serviced by Skoda you'd think they suggest it so they could line their pockets just that little bit more. I'll just stick with the Skoda stuff. Just like to have a bottle handy and I bought this a while back but never had the courage to use it so I bought a bottle of Skoda stuff and this just sat in the cupboard. Never been opened.
  9. It's got g12evo in it currently. Can't tell you when it was last changed. Cars always serviced with Skoda so I'd assume they would tell me when it's due.
  10. Hi all. Can I mix this with the VW stuff that's already in the car? It says suitable with Skodas 2008 on so I assume it is Thanks Adrian.
  11. On mine you can feel a definite difference if in sport. The throttle is sharper but not massively so and the steering heavier. It would be nice if the throttle could be even sharper.
  12. Thanks. Good info. May have to have a look into this.
  13. See, I've never been offered or paid for this. So I dunno if it's ever been done.
  14. Hi all. I'm curious. Does anyone if Skoda servicing includes the changing of the fuel filter at any time? You never get any paperwork as it's all online I guess. But my car is now 8 years old. Was just wondering if the fuel filter has ever been changed. I'll ask when I go to pick the car up later today as it's in for oil service. Thanks Adrian.
  15. What app and equipment do you need to get this information. I see there are apps. But do you need something to plug into the car? Thanks Adrian.
  16. Just wait until the ad blue display says max 10l then put a full bottle in. It's a bit of a faff standing there holding a bottle up whilst it slowly trickles in so do it as rarely as possible.
  17. That seems like a fair price really. In 2 minds about carrying on with it juddering or bite the bullet and get it done. It's just finding the time to leave it with someone as I use it pretty much every day at the moment.
  18. I would be interested to hear what reply you get from Skoda as I took am considering a clutch and flywheel change to try and stop the horrible judder I get from my car. Would be interested to see what others have paid as well.
  19. It's sorted. Was a piece of glass lodged in it from when my window broke last year. I did end up taking the casing off though but it's back together ok. Getting the seat base out and back in was the most awkward bit.
  20. I'm going to look in a while. I've taken the seat base out, then I'll unbolt the thing and take it indoors. I've looked in the car and can't see anything obvious. Not sure if it's something that can be opened. Or if that's a good idea given how important it is.
  21. It's the rear drivers side being a problem. Found it out last night when someone tried to do it up. Passed an MOT in march so assume it was ok then. It's the original. Very strange.
  22. Hi everyone. Got a 2016 superb. One of the rear belts won't click in place. Can't see anything in it that would stop it from working. Buckle is fine. Tried wd40 but no joy. Anyone had this and sorted it please? If not I'll have to look into replacing it. Thanks Adrian.
  23. Mine does it too. 2.0tdi 190. 2016 with 131000 miles on the clock. Again, would just get the clutch and flywheel done if I could guarantee it'd sort it. It is a horrible feeling when your pulling away and it judders. Mine mainly does it when sitting in stop start traffic. Clutch bite point seems ok and it don't seem to slip so I assume it's flywheel???
  24. I have a creak when I go over speed bumps and undulating road at slow speeds. But weirdly only seems to happen mostly when a slight tough of the brakes are applied. Does this ring bells with anyone? Anyone got an idea what this could be please? https://youtube.com/shorts/ik65OOXfevE?si=Fzux7l0XvBU9TOpG
