Thanks, couldn’t find anything in the manual about it, I’m sure I’ve had it do it to me when slowed down to pull out into traffic as well.
Considering all the safety kit and systems fitted to today’s cars, they fit a dangerous feature, just to chase lower co2 figures. Ironic really.

Hi,
Does anyone know if it’s normal for the engine to sometimes cut out before you’ve come to a complete halt?
My petrol automatic will sometimes cut the engine when slowing down for tall speed humps or rolling up to a car park barrier.
(This is with stop-start activated or should I say forgotten to turn it off.....)
Thanks

Not really considering It’s a large cabin, so they need to move a lot of air to change to maintain the temperature when particularly hot or cold.

I’ve since moved the connection to the 15a wiper motor fuse. I couldn’t when I originally fitted it as I couldn’t find my Nextbase piggyback adaptor for the larger fuse.
I didn’t have a problem with fitting the piggyback connector as I don’t have many fuses fitted adjacent to it.

Unless I missed it, I haven’t seen anything in the press about the increases in road tax this year.
You would think there’d be lots of articles about registration of cars prior to the change to save £££’s

If I were in the owners position and everything now running normally, why would I want the mileage altered? All sounds very strange.
I may be very wrong but as the OP is brand new, posted this on 8th Feb and hasn't been heard of since - this thread has a criminal edge written all over it and I'd suggest the aim is more like how to take 10,000 miles off.
If webmasters are reading, it might be an idea to delete this thread as it sounds very dodgy indeed.

Surely the dealer would be expected to void the manufactures warranty if you told them what had been done.

I’ve got it and it’s absolutely fine.
Thanks, John and 200Mb is plenty if used sensibly?

Three have got a deal where you get a free SIM that allows 200Mb per month free
https://www.three.co.uk/Free_SIM_MBB/Order
if I only use the connection for navigation traffic updates, is that enough data?
Also has anyone used a Three data sim satisfactorily?

Hi,
Maybe...but No I don’t have any airbag options fitted, it’s very strange why they’re reversed.
Bad enough that the fuse panel is such a pain the a** to get to behind the glove box and then find their not numbered correctly. 😩 -

Just fitted a Nextbase Dashcam that was previously in my Yeti into my new SKodiaq.
All fitted ok but the fuse locations don’t match up with the manual.
Disconnected what I thought was fuse 34 as recommended in the excellent installation guide
problem being as soon as I disconnected what should be fuse 34 the airbag warning came up. It’s definitely 3rd along from the left.
I’ve ended up using the next along Fuse 35 which flagged up a parking aid/assist warning but works fine for ignition on activation of the dashcam.
According to the latest on line manual and car manual the 3rd along should be fuse 34 (Air conditioning, reversing light switch, mirror. I'm Either going mad, blind or both or my Kodiaq’s fuse locations are somehow "bespoke"
The only problem I have now is that the airbag warning comes up when I turn on the ignition. What’s the best way of getting it reset?I don’t paying a few quid for a gadget to clear it as it would be useful in the future rather than going to a local VW specialist garage.
Many thanks

I’ve gone with cloth (black micro suede) on my Kodiaq. Dogs go in the boot and they’re not cold when you first get in on a cold morning.
-
My iPhone 7 has the same problem, but an iPhone 6 works fine for recent calls on the maxidot. The iPhone 7 did work until a fairly recent iOS upgrade.
-
I had the same thing confirmed by a dealer, that this model’s tax is going up by £645.

Assuming you retract or remove the luggage cover when you have the dog cage in the boot, use the tether points that you mention in another way.
Get yourselves two cam straps and thread them through those tether points, one on each side of the boot and over your cage and just pull them tight. The cage won't move then, I use them for canoes that I carry on my roof rack - they work a treat. If you get long enough ones, probably 5 metres ones would do it, you would just need to loosen them off, which is very easy and move them to the sides of the crate to facilitate removal of the crate.
If you position them so the cam buckles can be reached from your rear doors, it will be easy to loosen them in an emergency. Failing that, carry a small sharp knife or a seat belt cutter in your glove box and they can be cut off.
That’s a good idea thanks.

The 7 seat Kodiaq doesn’t have the bars in the boot with sliding hooks for shopping. They are ideal to secure dog crates to the sides.
I mean the bog standard rectangular wire crates, not the special shaped crates.
How do people manage to secure dog crates in the boot of a Kodiaq without?

I’m thinking of replacing Yeti with a Karoq and there seems to be really good deals on the Sportline spec- the only problem is they don’t have the varioflex seats.
Do the sportline seats recline and slide backwards and forwards?
Considering the Karoq boot is slightly bigger than the Yeti, how does a varioflex Yeti compare to a Sportline Karoq for usable boot space?

Look at their website, it’s inspected by BCA when they pick it up
"Contract Hire - We will contact you 4 months before the end of your contract to advise you that the agreement is coming to an end. Our agents BCA will then contact you to arrange a convenient time to inspect and collect the vehicle. "

Can anyone tell me do they inspect and collect your returning car on the same day, or is it inspection and then collection later?
I'm a month early trying to arrange termination as my VW T Roc has arrived in UK, just wondering what the process is
Is it from VWFS?
-
That doesn’t sound fair especially if both cars are from VWFS?

Not sure if some manufacturers have or will integrate the forward facing camera and sat nav into the stop-start activation. Maybe they could ask OFQUAL if they have an algorithm that would work......
