  1. Edit - Ignore my post folks, saw the post above by ‘Rooted’ that answers my question. Thanks a ton! 🙂 Earlier post: FYI folks, I have just been told by my Skoda dealer in the UK that the 5 year replacement guidance for the timing belt has changed now and it’s now just on a mileage of 120,000 miles. Is this the general advice from all dealers?
  2. Fyi folks, I initially used the WD40 Silicon spray on the bush marked 2 but it didn't stop the squeaking. When I sprayed on the Bush marked 1 on both sides the noise disappeared. It's couple of days now and I drove a lot over the weekend too and there's been absolutely no noise or sound again. Hopefully this lasts a couple of months.
  3. Folks I managed to resolve the issue. I guess I was spraying the WD40 silicon spray on the wrong bush earlier. Did it this weekend on a different spot and now I do not get a single sound from the suspension. Darn I have no idea why I didn’t do this before!! I’ll try and click a picture of the exact bush if I can with my phone to post here.
  4. Folks, my 2018 Octavia gives a creaking suspension noise from front and rear. 1. The creaking noise in the rear suspension is when getting into the vehicle. 2. The creaking noise from the front suspension is when going over speed breakers / bumps. The Octavia dealer hasn't been able to resolve the issue fr the past several years, spraying WD40 Silicon spray hasn't helped. I'm now considering taking it to a 3rd party suspension specialist to resolve this once for all. Any suggestions of some good suspension specialists where I can take my car to get this resolved? I live in the North London area.
  5. Thanks for the responses folks. My tyre pressure is usually set to 32psi. I’ll try the steering in sport mode the next time I’m on the motorway and see if it makes a difference. Good to know that it stiffens up when in Sport mode.
  6. Folks, I have a 2017 Octavia 1.5 DSG. I was wondering if the ‘Sport Mode’ actually changes the steering and makes it more heavy and stable at higher motorway speeds. Would it hold to the road better? Since at times I do feel the car is skittish at motorway speeds in Eco mode. Any thoughts or experiences?
  7. Thank you for the response both. I guess I’ll now wait a few months for the facelift to launch and then order.
  8. Hi All, I was planning on ordering a new Kodiaq in the next few weeks. Does anyone have an idea as to when the facelift may be launched? Is it better to hold off ordering for some time?
  9. 'A load of zombie jobs that are bleeding our economy dry'.... totally agree! The scheme is flawed and may be doing more harm than good.
  10. I read somewhere on this site that the Columbus head unit features a PATA interface HDD, which is the akin to the old IDE interface, unfortunately not a SATA interface. With the slower interface I doubt it would make much difference moving to an SSD. Also the other bottleneck could be the processing power of the CPU which may not be able to utilise a faster access speed of the storage media.
  11. Hi shyVRS245, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. Much appreciated!! Good to know that you have recovered and well now. Cheers.
  12. Henceforth I'm only going to top up my tank with BP fuel!! Thank you BP.
  13. I have put a message on the twitter channels for Aldi, Lidl, Morrisons, Iceland, Tesco. I request others on this forum to please do the same. We need to push our superstore chains to ensure our healthcare and emergency workers have access to stock and essentials at all times.
  14. Our large superstores have to do something about keeping stock aside for our healthcare workers. We are in for the long haul with this pandemic, and something must be done by the large supermarket chains to help those who are out there looking after us all. We need to start writing to our superstores about ensuring they put in processes and changes to ensure these people get their essential supplies. Maybe a best way is to reach them on their twitter channels? Let's all do it.
  15. Saw this on the BBC today. It's so very sad, I hope the Supermarkets do something about making sure our Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics, Emergency workers have a way of getting their basic home groceries and supplies. Surely there must be a way of doing something to ensure these people who put their lives at stake to take care of all the sick and ill can get their needed supplies. I doubt panic buying will reduce, but there has to be a better solution for this. Maybe some of the large supermarkets keep aside stock for these people? Maybe the huge stores like Tesco Superstores etc.? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-england-york-north-yorkshire-51966337/coronavirus-nurse-s-despair-as-panic-buyers-clear-shelves
