Electric Boot No Power
Bump Does anyone have a dump of their basic settings? Thanks

Electric Boot No Power
I’ve done something to the settings of the deck lid using OBD11 and now there is no power whatsoever in the boot struts. I changed the boot struts with aftermarket ones from AUTODOC. The boot would operate but not open fully and would not latch completely shut. I figured it was a calibration type issue so so I went through changing settings, got lost, then reset counters, etc to try to get back to a working boot. Things got worse and now no power at all. The boot button now just opens the boot, no power, I have to lift and close manually. The close button doesn’t work , the remote fob doesn’t work, the button in the cabin doesn’t work. Any ideas?

DSG stalling in reverse
Ive had my 2017 l&k 150bhp 2L diesel almost from new and this happens very occasionally. I put it down to a couple of things Impatience on my behalf, I get in start the car and go. Instead I should wait for the glow plug light to extinguish, and let car warm up a bit Low battery, issue almost completely stopped shortly after getting a new battery

Melted Mess !
Update: I rang around a few dealers today to enquire about this part. The latest revision now is D so the code now reads 03L 906 051D £104.76 ea. but apparently it doesn't require any coding/adaptation with your vehicle.

Melted Mess !
Hi I cleared the fault easily with OBD11 and curiously it hasn't come back despite the state of the sensor. My concern is more about the ECU losing track of the DPF status if I just go ahead and swap sensor. Some say that not only does it need adaptation but if you don't do this before you start your car you have to buy a new sensor. I'm hoping none of that applies but need to be sure before I attempt a DIY sensor change. £70 for the part from ECP but it'll probably be double that at Skoda, fitted.

DPF PRESSURE SENSOR CHANGE
Yeah maybe but I've seen posts showing OBD11 with this feature but when I look on my OBD11 connected to my car the feature is missing. Others report similar but no one seems to know why, so I am none the wiser. Ta.

DPF PRESSURE SENSOR CHANGE
Hi I have a 2017 Superb Diesel LK and I had a cam belt change at a dealer about a month ago. 2 weeks later I get a engine light on the dash and after using OBD11 it pointed me to the DPF particle filter pressure sensor. Semi melted mess as you can see in the picture. If I changed this sensor do I need to do anything else? I can't see a setting in OBD11>Engine>Basic Settings>Adaptation of diff pressure sensor particulate..... Others have seen this but after some research I conclude one of the following is true 1. My car is 2017 and therefore the above doesn't apply 2. I need to fit the new sensor first then perhaps the item shows up on the app TIA. I don't really want to take it to a dealer as its a simple part to change but will if I have to.

Torque settings
I forgot to mention the stabilising rods that were recommended to change , that was part of the Eurocar part bill
-
Torque settings
Monroe DCC Shocks were £130 each from GSF, (£260 total) Springs, top mount, bearings, dust covers, came to about £330 from Eurocar parts. I couldn't see how I could do it much cheaper tbh, I think it must be inflation since you did yours last.

Torque settings
Do you have a description or part number for the Allen key? I have the spreader tool to get the shock out of the strut ( unless you mean something else)? I got this list from my local dealer but sourced the parts from elsewhere for obvious reasons. Actually not everything, I got top strut mount with bearing, springs, shocks, dust covers, and stabilising bars, think about £600 so far , plus about £200 worth of new tools. I assume the buffer is the foam stop you mentioned

Torque settings
Yeah warranty long expired on my 2017 L&K . It has DCC. I just went with the Monroe like for like replacement. I just need the torque wrenches, I have ball joint splitter, window wiper lifter, shock strut splitter, spring compressor. I think that's the lot from the video at least. I'll take my time but not too long as I don't have a spare car and I need it for work, so maybe start it over the may bank holiday and take some extra time off just in case I run into issues. Plus I will have a good read from the service guide you sent the link for. Thanks!

Torque settings
Thanks! I watched a YouTube video here What do you think the toughest part of the job is please? Doing both sides too 😬😬😬

Torque settings
Hi all Could someone point me in the direction of torque settings for Skoda Superb MkIII please? I need to change the front shocks. Will I need to buy a couple of wrenches? Halfords do 2 that covers 12-60 and 60-300nM. Don't want to buy both unless I need to. TIA

Creaking and groaning suspension : non active suspension
If I followed your fix correctly, replace anti roll bushes but grease up well and must use correct lithium grease. Alternatively use better, polyurethane pattern part bushes not the cheap oem ones,

Creaking and groaning suspension : non active suspension
I've read through this thread and tbh I'm still none the wiser. I have the same horrible creaking from the front suspension when going over speed bumps. The same noise happens albeit to a lesser extent if I'm just stationary and I turn the steering wheel back and forth. Is it possible that the root cause failed component is actually transmitting vibration along connected structures? So perhaps the fault origin is silent, but noise manifests itself in other places? Like a chain reaction? It would certainly explain why its been so difficult to tie down. In other words greasing some bushes here and there helps with the symptom for a while but the main culprit goes undetected (unless it randomly gets swapped out). Just a thought.

What could be wrong?
Well that was very odd and worrying. The car is absolutely fine now. It seems that the low battery caused a engine management glitch which magically cleared itself overnight. It was weird when I tried to start the car yesterday. It kept turning over getting weaker and weaker and I couldn't even shut it off in the end. Never seen that before, dials were going crazy too. The battery is only a few years old and the car was parked up for a week so there seems to be a problem either with the battery, alternator or something draining the battery. Anyone else had anything like this before?

What could be wrong?
My car was running fine but needed a new condenser. I wanted to save some money so decided to replace the condenser myself and have someone come out to recharge it which they did successfully. At first the air con wouldnt come back on but he cleared some faults from the ECU and then it worked again. He said low level fluid can auto shut off the AC until you clear it. Then I proceeded to put the bumper back on, wheel liners, wheels, etc and take the car for test drive. First problem, Battery wasnt strong enough to start the car, It turned over but failed to start then car instruments went crazy for a second. I jump started no problem but car was running rough I barely made it out of the garage when it stalled. It kept stalling, spluttering, managed to drive down the road but turned around as it was like a kangaroo. it actually stalled at the roundabout a couple of times. I got home on the drive, idling badly, revved engine but wouldnt go above 2500rpm. I'll call someone out to take a look and get the codes from the ECU, hopefully something simple. Could I have dislodged something or forgotten to connect leads to something? I think all I removed were fog lamp and front parking sensor , washer pump. The car is 2L tdi L&K MK3 Bricking it now as it could be an expensive fix! What the hell could it be?

Monroe shocks
Scrub that last mail, i rang Bilstein in Leicester and was told lead time is looking at late July early Aug!

Monroe shocks
I've sent a note to Bilstein using their contact us form from their website. Nothing back yet. Is there a better way to contact them? How do I know what the lead times are before I order I don't want to spend £££ and then wait for 4 weeks. I think I will order 2 top mounts from their website and 2 x DCC shock absorbers, order 2 new OEM bearings and use the same springs from the existing. I hope that all works out fine. 🫣

Monroe shocks
Looks like I can order 2 x 23-254343 from the Bilstein UK website. Are they long lead times? Isn't ok just to replace the shocks on front axle with these? Leaving rear axle as standard? Also I'm planning to use the original springs, is that OK? What else should I change ? Top mount and bearing? Any part numbers for these? Thanks

Monroe shocks
Aerosus have some really bad reviews I may swerve them and just by Monroe ones from Europarts for £250 ea. At least I can guarantee taking back if I have any problems. Where have others bought new shocks? I don't want to spend £££'s on premier replacements, just like for like will do me.

Monroe shocks
I also found this site, they look like fully assembled shocks with springs, top mounts, etc Any comments or opinions on these? I'm not an expert mechanic so these seem easier to buy and fit opposed to just the shocks by themselves. Think £693 for 2 is best price I've seen. https://aerosus.co.uk/other/skoda/superb/skoda-superb-iii-front-axle-shock-absorber-coil-spring-assembly-with-dcc.html

Monroe shocks
My 17 plate LK had an advisory for front shock so will probably replace them both soon. I found the OEM part from the label on the old ones. https://www.onlinecarparts.co.uk/oenumber/3q0413031ak.html £156 each doesnt sound too bad for DCC ones. Does anyone have any opinion on these? Ideally I would want the full assembled shocks with springs, top mount etc but cant find these online anywhere. What top mount/bearing do I need because I think these ought to be replaced also - I'll re-use the old spring but I have to buy a spring clamp tool 😐
