  1. I managed to pry them apart with a small flat blade , guy is coming to check and re-charge the system soon. I'll leave the bumper and wheels off for now in case there's a problem. Thanks all!
  2. Wow these are seriously seized I've tried for over an hour to remove the connectors. Are you absolutely sure that the smaller hole is not a fixing of some sort? I'll leave it soak overnight with wd40 and hope they come off tomorrow. Ta
  3. The smaller hole to the left of the main bolt. What is that and do I need to remove it? Ta
  4. I stripped car down as above but when removing the air con hardliners from the old condenser there are 2 bolts which are easy to remove but the the pipes won't come off easily. There appears to be a small torx or Allan key grub screw on each connector. What's this for? Do I need to undo them?
  5. There are some cheaper aftermarket DCC shocks on Ebay , new for about £500 front pair. Seemingly unbranded and they are the complete shock complete with springs, top mount etc. Has anybody got an opinion on these please? They look super cheap compared to OEM , Bilston, etc.
  6. Thanks. Does the the crash bar remove easily? Do I need to worry about accidentally triggering airbags?
  7. Thanks for the replies ! Is it straightforward to remove the bumper and crash bar? I'm thinking of changing the condenser myself and calling in the expert AC guy to refill a d test it. BTW I've seen new ones online for about £60 on ebay. Are these to be trusted? Any recommendations on what condenser to use? Cheers.
  8. Hi The mobile AC engineer confirmed that the AC condenser in my Superb MK3 has a hole in it and needs changing. He admitted that hes never changed on in my model car before and gave the impression that its a tough job complicated by the headlight washers. It could be a pig to get to and risk breaking the headlamp washer assemblies and fixtures in the process. I would be grateful for some pointers on how to get the condenser changed without causing damage! TIA.
  9. I had a quick look now and yes OSF has the wiring. I actually plugged in the new pad and checked and the dash light went off just to test. Light came back on when I plugged the old pads back in and started the car, pressed the brake. I'll change the pads when I get the correct part for pushing the piston back. Cheers all.
  10. Thanks I think I need this , I've bought one cheaply on eBay so it doesn't matter if it won't fit. I didn't see any wiring on NSF but I will take a look on the OSF , maybe it's there?
  11. Hi I took front passenger near side wheel off to start changing the pads. The pads don't look bad and this is the side that doesn't appear to have the wear indicator fitted. Q. I have a caliper tool but it's too small for the piston, can someone advise what one I need and I will pop out to Halforda or Europart. Also , does the piston need to turn as it goes back? I may as well change the pads I guess even if there appears to be half the material left on them.🤔
  12. I just put my plate into Euro car parts and front pads mention "integrated" wear indicator but rear ones say "not fitted"
  13. I'll report back what I find on the rears if I need to change them.
  14. Thanks both. I'll start with the front and change them first if required. I assume the dash light will disappear by itself? And I should only need OBD if the backs need doing? It's an L&K model if that makes a difference or not. Cheers.
  15. Is it possible to tell what pads need changing? Front or back? Without a physical inspection? If it's back I can buy Carista BT adapter and have the free features for a month? This will allow me to put EPB in service mode? Also would it be possible to close the boot from inside the car by making changes with Carista? I have a Superb MK3 MY17 , cheers.
  16. 2017 , many thanks for this. Why rivet a speaker in arghhh! Do you know if it's a single speaker in each rear door? Also , how easy is it to access speaker? Ta
  17. I used the balance and fader controls and that's how I came to the conclusion that the speaker is not right. Is there a part number or website I can go to view the speaker and spec? I may buy a replacement. First test I think is to swap left and right rear speakers over and see if problem follows the speaker if you get my drift. Ta.
  18. Does anyone have information about this speaker please? I have a 2017 Superb and the nearside rear speaker is not as loud and clear as the offside rear. Wondered if it needs replacing.
