  1. Same as you, love coffee, had had loads of machines then about 2 years ago we bought a magimix one thats linked to the Nexpresso system

Nespresso™: the Art of Espresso. An exclusive Espresso Machine Range & 12 Coffee Premium Blends

Fantastic, probably averages 3-4 cups a day, never let us down,

    2 big pluses

Coffee is in capsules so you can make different strengths/types a cup at a time, ideal when people want different coffees

Machine only needs a thourough clean about 3 times a year & they supply cleaning kits for this.

Capsules are ordered on the web & come the next day, really is a stunning system, fantastic again if you only want one cup, can be made in no time.

Will also do milk frothing etc if that floats your boat,

    Stuart

    Can't agree enough with this!

My wife bought me one with an "Aeroccino" automatic milk frother - the coffee is absolutely wonderful, and I am the world's biggest coffee snob ;)

  2. Hello,

Im in Chalford so not too far away either. I have a Silver Octavia L+K.

    TC

    Neighbour!

Both my cars below have a Brisky sticker on the rear window so flash your lights!

I'm in Bussage. Are you in proper Chalford or are you just in the posh part of Bussage? ;)

EDIT: I was born and raised in Cheltenham so consider myself to be in the posh part of wherever I live ;););)

  3. Generally I like silver, especially silver estates, but I hate the Skoda silver. To my eyes it's dull and seems to age really poorly. I'm quite liking my cappuccino beige as it's one of those colours that looks different in different light, so it's like you have 2 or 3 different colours depending on the conditions (I bet that makes no sense at all). Under showroom lights it actually looks like silver.

I LOVE my silver FL vRS! B) It has actually started to look better as time has progressed since I bought it. My last vRS was a race blue Octy and whilst it suited the old shape down to a tee, I think that it looks a bit childish on the FL - a view I've still got as I see more pics of race blue FLs.

PS Not ready for a beige car until I'm at LEAST 70...;)

  4. Hi Phil,

I live at the bottom of a hill and habitually turn the music off at the top (to save the neighbours from my tastes ) & cruise the 1/2 mile to home.

Pressing and holding the radio for 5 secs to turn off is totally silly in my opinion and not that easy on our poorly surfaced roads round here.

For me; click (or switch) ON/OFF is far better

    Cheers

You press and hold the button for 5 secs? I just push in for a fraction of a second and it switches off. Is your radio different?

  5. I have an Octy vRS (petrol) plus a Furby vRS - no problems whatsoever...and I live on the top of a steep hill! B)

A N T I C I P A T I O N is the key, that and don't make any sudden braking moves - unlike the guy behind me earlier this evening who was sliding uncontrolled down the hill...

    Happy skiing all... :giggle:

  6. it seems a bit flimsy and I when Ive caught it with a cloth/sponge mitt when cleaning i think its gonna snap off!!

tbh.. not sure how its attached

I was wondering if it was supposed to have something substantial behind it, like a plastic bit behind the grill attached to the back of the badge. If yours looks like it's just attached by glue onto the front of the grill slats, then I'll be VERY careful cleaning it! ;)
