  1. Hello. I am considering a project, either way I will be doing one of the two things I'm about to mention, however I need a bit of advice or knowledge on the subject. So. I have a MK 3 Octavia vRS 2.0 TSI and I absolutely love it, however I hate the chocolate box (MQ350) I'd love an auto but that's another story. Anyway my project Option 1 Keep the origional PNN transmission and modify to accept the input shaft insert and the 4th gear support assembly. Option 2 Buy a manual SRD transmission from a MK7 Golf R and add the same modifications. I know it's the same gearbox case as it's the MQ350. To my knowledge there shouldn't be a great deal of difference between the 2 boxes. Obviously the SRD has the AWD transfer case up front but I'd just not use it because I'm not going AWD yet. So to conclude. Will the SRD work in my car or is there other differences that I am unaware of? I have spoken to parts team at skoda and he said it wouldn't fit without issues. Still waiting to hear what these issues would be. Any info you guys can find out would be appreciated.
