Retrofitted a reverse camera

Annoying beep every 30 seconds
Not really, it's sometimes very difficult to pinpoint the source of a noise, especially in a car. I had an intermittent bleep in my previous car that I couldn't pinpoint. Dealer couldn't shed any light on it either. As with the Op, it was my dashcam. There was a poor connection between the plug and the socket causing it to lose and regain power and it was only after someone mentioned dashcam that I paid particular attention to it. Very glad the OP found the fault, not knowing is often the worst thing.

Retrofitted a reverse camera
I didn't have the option as mine was a pre reg. I didn't think I'd miss the one I had on my previous car, but I do. Can I ask how much it cost and did you fit it yourself ?

Annoying beep every 30 seconds
It does rather sound like something aftermarket. As a last resort before you take it to the dealer, try rebooting the infotainment system. Do this by pressing the OFF icon on the screen and keep it pressed until you hear a low bleep. Then turn back on in the normal way. If doing this once doesn't work, do the same thing 3 times. This has worked for me in resetting a warning light and for others as well in certain circumstances. I'm doubtful it will work in your case, but it won't do any harm to try it.

New Kodiaq questions
Yes, cross purposes here, I thought the OP just wanted a clock showing all the time as I've done with mine. Don't know if what you're asking is possible and if ZDM doesn't know, then maybe it isn't. I find it really strange how some features in the infotainment system stay as you programme them and others revert to default when the ignition is switched off.

Your link for the beep doesn't work, not for me anyway. I'm guessing it's probably something simple. Do you use your seat belt ? Are there any warning lights displaying on your dashboard ?

New Kodiaq questions
1. My Kodiaq is 2 years old so things might have changed since then. Due to lockdown and lack of car use, I didn't want my infotainment screen firing up every time I turned on the ignition, so I have it set to just show the clock. Once set, that's how it remains. Not sure how I did it now, but I think i just pressed the off icon on the infotainment screen (not for too long because that will cause a reboot) and the clock then becomes the default screen when you fire up the car. Try it.

After service/repair Covid Sanitisation
It seems that many, if not all garages are giving cars that go in for service or repair a sanitisation clean before being handed back to the customer. My dealer states that the government has decreed that this clean has to be done, but other garages I've spoken to deny this, although they are doing the clean as a matter of course anyway. Does anyone know if it's compulsory for garages to have to sanitise cars or not ??

Help with SOS call function warning
My car battery is not in a good state of health, partly due to only doing short journeys so far this year and also because I left it unattended for most of last month whilst away. Needed to go shopping today, battery was too low to start car. Attached my portable power pack, started car which stalled after a couple on minutes of keeping the revs up. Restarted again with power pack and kept it running this time, but I had an orange warning triangle with an exclamation mark in it on the dot matrix screen. Also, where the trip mileage readout is, it kept changing to a phone icon with SOS beside it. Whilst waiting for my wife to do the shopping, I attached my OBD11 and cancelled all fault codes I could find, but warning triangle remains on. On the way home, whilst adjusting a setting on the infotainment screen, we noticed in the car settings (I think it was) menu, a warning that said something along the lines of; SOS CALL RESTRICTED, PHONE WORKSHOP. Is this something to be concerned about, do I need to phone the workshop (can't, nobody there) and is there a way to extinguish the warnings I'm getting ?? Thankyou in advance.

Tyre rotation and directional tyres.
Two questions here; I have Pirelli Scorpion Verde Seal Inside tyres (summer version, not all weather) on my car and I'm having a failure to see if they're directional or not. I've been on my knees today but I cannot see a direction arrow, so I assume that they aren't directional. Does anybody know different ? Secondly, and this is allied to the first question. I think it may be time to think about rotating my tyres. I thought that I'd seen the recommended mileage for doing this in the handbook, but yet again I can't find it now. Does anyone know where this is in the handbook or have I read it elsewhere and if it's not in the handbook, does anyone know the recommended mileage for rotation ?
