  1. My locks were replaced under warranty but this is the second time that this has happened and I have the car just over 3 years
  2. Locked out of my car once again last night this happened about 18 months ago the car was back with the dealer 3 times before they sorted it by changing both front door locks going back to the dealership in 3 weeks time they said they changed the batteries in both keys when it was in for a service in January but one was a Duracell and the other a varta don’t know if they done it but they did charge for it. Having replaced the battery yesterday myself and the car locks are still clicking and locking whether im in or out of the car this has really put me off getting another Skoda as the same fault is reoccurring again 18months further down the line was my first and I think my last Skoda as seems to be a common fault across there models with a kessy system
  3. The one to open the car
  4. The only warning I get is key not detected and the engine won’t start I press the key fob button again and then the ignition starts
  5. The car was back at the dealership 3 times they changed some circuit board first then the passenger locking mechanism then the drivers door locking mechanism and that cured the problems
  6. Could be a fault with the door locks had to have both my front ones replaced on my Karoq under warranty is a known fault
  7. Had the same problem with mine had it back at the dealership 3 times and the last time they replaced both the drivers door and passenger door locks and that has cured the problem

It’s maybe the kessy system I’ve been having trouble with mine doors locking and unlocking key not being recognized on the dashboard I’ve even been locked out of the car twice with the key still in the car as it had fallen out of my pocket mine has been back with the dealer they said it was the batteries in the fob but they changed them and it still happened they changed some electronic board and second time out in the car it happened again so the car is back with them now for a third time
  9. Hi aciduzzo I’ve a Skoda Karoq and I’m having the same issues with my kessy system the dealer has replaced the batteries and it was still happening they had it back in and replaced some part got it back and on the second drive in it the key not detected came up again is now back with them for the third time I did see in a post on the karoq section in October that someone had exactly the same problems and their dealership had not heard of it before but they went on to Skoda fault site and it recommended they change the locks so I’m hoping that’s what they do this time I’ve been locked out of my car twice with the keys sitting on the drivers seat as they had fallen out of my pocket luckily I wasn’t too far from home and was able to get the spare
  10. Apparently it’s a fault with the door locks was discussed on another topic I’m having the same problem myself car is due a service in the next few weeks so will get it sorted then the locks need replaced
  11. Not the case in my car was folding in no matter what the speed was when I first got the car after about a year now does it intermittently and what would be the point of having a knob to fold ure mirrors in then
  12. Cheers mate looks like a trip to the dealership for me only prior problems I’ve had with the car is the mirrors not closing in when the control knob is moved round to close them whilst driving and the dreaded stop start other than that really like the car
  13. Similar issues have started with mine the car locking for no reason when I’ve pressed the key to open or used the handle also the key cannot be detected message the car locking but the wing mirrors not folding in also. Mine is a November 2018 dsg Karoq sel 1.6 diesel
