Was there ever a definitive answer on what worked for changing the number plate lamps from standard to LED? Ive had a good search and there seems to be a lot of mixed information and links that no longer work.

Is there a plug and play OEM alternative as I don’t want cheap Chinese rubbish off eBay if I can help it.

I mounted BMW 7193293 lights.

They come with a lens that redirects the LED light to the plate and looks actually good not like a lot of the cheap tuning LEDs....

I still had a connector with resistor and capacitor from a pair of cheap tuning LEDs so I used them...
