  1. The issue is that the handbook says you can upload to the unit via USB, but you can't. The logo thing doesn't matter.
  2. In my case I wanted all the logos on just to make it look nice, then discovered I couldn't. Ok, I can live with that. The bit that annoys me is that the handbook says you can upload to the unit and shows you how, but you can't because it can't do what the handbook says. Just update the handbook and take all reference to it out and effectively this gripe goes away
  3. I had a similar issue and had a whole new unit fitted under warranty which fixed the problem until yesterday. What appears to happen is the SOS message flashes up and nect time you stop and start the car it says loading profile and just hangs rendering the unit useless. Has happened twice more today. I'll be on to Skoda in the morning as I don't have the willpower to do it now and listen to them telling me it's not a problem
  4. That didn't work unfortunately
  5. I was in an accident last week which put a big dent in my front nearside wing. This has now been replaced along with the foglight under the insurance but it's come back with the SOS warning light still on which would have been a result of the prang, not the traditional error. Does anyone know if there's anything I can do to reset it to save going back to the garage?
  6. I've got it but I don't need to be using Android Auto for it to happen. Happens almost every day. I've taken it to the garage who are aware that there are issues (possibly a RAM problem) but don't have a fix. This says to me that 1) Skoda know they have a problem but don't know how to fix it 2) Skoda know they have a problem and are working hard to fix it 3) Skoda know they have a problem but can't be bothered to fix it 4) Skoda are in denial that they've got a problem My guess is somewhere between 3 and 4. Not blaming the local garage as they've always been excellent, but having owned Skoda's for quite a few years now, the customer service aspects from head office have gone right downhill
  7. I'm getting it too and it wlso seems to be when I'm using Android Auto. It's only started to happen since the recent OTA updates I got
  8. Oil

My oil warning has come on. As I am technically inept when it comes to engines, what I've found so far makes no sense to me. So my question if someone can help me....if I go to the garage to get some oil to top it up, which one/grade or whatever it's called should I get? Thanks!
  9. Had a number of OTA software updates this last week. Does anyone have any idea what any of them are for as I can't find a changelog anywhere
  10. Great, thanks for that
  11. 1.5 petrol
  12. Just a quick question. What temperature would you expect the Scala to show on a motorway run at a steady 70mph (ok, ok....80)? Around town when warmed up mine usually shows 95 degrees but noticed today it was up to 102/103 degrees on the M40 o a run and it was only about 19 degrees outside. Hadn't noticed it being that high before. Should I be concerned?
  13. I got it on the A4 heading into London, about a mile west of Fullers Brewery
  14. I can get over 50 mpg on a run (1.5 DSG) and approaching 60 if I drive like a saint
