  1. Thanks for your interest and suggestions langers. I've got nowhere with erwin, absence of a scan tool will be a problem if I did👍
  2. Famous last words! Just returned home after a 180 mile round trip. Odometer and fuel consumption readings had all reset to zero overnight, when entering the car early morning. On arriving home a couple of hours ago, after return trip, all the readings have reset to zero again!🤬 At a complete loss now
  3. Totally agree! My electronics knowledge is virtually non existant, but I cannot fathom the connection between removing a usb flash drive and re-establishing trip odo readings and fuel consumption figures? For the record, I refuelled the car yesterday and all figures are as they should be. Off on a long trip this weekend and will see if the problem is still resolved👍
  4. Hoping this post may help someone with the same problem - My trip odometer, fuel consumption figures (since start, long term and since refuelling) have all been randomnly resetting to zero pretty much every day, sometimes within a couple of hours of switching off the car. I have mentioned the problem on this site, but without any luck in resolving the issue. Have tested the battery, checked fuses, updated firmware, all without success. I like listening to my music in the car and have a 128GB USB stick in the USB socket to provide same. Sometime ago, I bought a right angle USB 3.0 male to female plug adaptor. My logic was that I could leave the USB stick connected and be able to close the sliding cover on the centre console when vacating the car. During a clean up in the interior a couple of days ago, I decided to remove the usb stick to add a few more music files to my collection. A few short trips in the car over the last couple of days (minus the usb stick) , my trip odometer has not reset and long term and since refuelling figures have remained intact! I cannot see how this has had an effect on the problem, but then again, my electrical/ electronics knowledge is fairly limited, but I'm assuming there is a connection? During the course of today, I will be refilling the petrol tank and hopefully things will remain the same. If the problem returns, I'll update everyone accordingly
  5. Apologies langers replied with wrong profile but thanks anyway
  6. Good morning - this is my current firmware. I am now getting error code '01555 - Check Software Version Management', which I try to reset, but it immediately comes back on next scan. Any suggestions or updated firmware, greatly appreciated
  7. Hello Pab, My trip odometer and fuel consumption figures (since refuel and long term) keep resetting on almost a daily basis. One or two members on this site, seem to think an update may cure the problem?
  8. What faults prompted the replacement of the units Crasher?
  9. Ok Warrior, that is noted.Every reading resets on my car, Inc trip mileage. Just wish it happened before my warranty expired.
  10. Yes Briar, I am. However, there is no logic to my reset, regardless of time or distance 🤔
  11. Thanks for the quick reply Warrior. Electronics are way out of my comfort zone! Stupid question (again), could whatever 'stores' the readings, be separate to whatever stores the total mileage reading. It must do as mileage does not zero
  12. Clutching at straws here......Any suggestions to confirm a faulty sensor on the negative battery lead on 2019 Karoq 1.5 SEL? My fuel consumption readings and trip odometer regularly, randomly reset to zero. Wondering if the faulty sensor could be part of the problem. Searching the web, offers replacement USED leads, which I am reluctant to buy. Reset button does not appear to be sticking and I'm at a complete loss to know why readings reset to zero on a regular basis. Not the end of the world I admit, but long term fuel consumption figures would be nice to have. Long term, Since refuelling and since start ALL reset to zero pretty much every day?
  13. Thanks for the update on your absence Bigade....and thanks again for the speedcam update👌
  14. Hello Bigade, Are you still updating your speed camera database these days?
  15. HELLO varoom, Thanks for your rapid reply - I'm hoping the attached is what you need?
  16. Evening all, Hoping someone can provide me with a software update for my Karoq
  17. Thanks for your reply Chris. I had my headlights switched to auto. I'm assuming that if I had been stationary for a little more time, headlights would have switched off, but the sidelights would still have been lit? Still baffled that the message has not appeared before though, as I must have been in a similar situation countless times
  18. Evening All, A few minutes ago, I was sat at a tee junction controlled by temporary traffic lights on red - headlamps were on - left hand indicator working - stop/start dectivated and engine running. A message then flashed up on the dashboard, I cannot remember the exact wording, but to the effect of 'Lights will turn off in thirty seconds to save battery'. In the 3 years I have been driving my motor, I must have been in similar situtions before and have NEVER seen this message before. Before I could respond in anyway, traffic lights turned green, slipped car into gear and drove off and the message disappeared. Has anyone else received this message when car is stationary, with headlights on and engine running? It makes me wonder how many other 'hidden messages' may lurk in the depth of the electronics.......
  19. Ok. Would be grateful if you could keep us updated. I'd try myself, but filling my tank is a bit of a problem around here at the moment😏
  20. Looking forward to your results david1602. I.ve tried everything I can think of... I did not know there even was a fuel filler cap connection?
