Recirculation pump V55
Hi, I have an Octavia vRS 2.0 TDI -2015 with Webasto. My heater has locked itself and I have a fault code for recirculation pump V55 - short to plus. Does anyone know where this pump is located, and what’s necessary to disassemble to gain access to it?

Which coolant?
It’s been barely at the minimum level since I bought the car 5 months ago. Now it’s a bit below even that, and this morning I had a red low coolant symbol show up when I cold started the car at -3 Celsius. I’ve been running the Webasto diesel heater many times a day all winter long, I don’t know if that could affect the coolant level somehow. It’s going in to the dealer in a couple days to change oil in the DSG, I’ll ask them what it’ll cost me for a coolant flush, and might as well ask them to remove the silica bag.

Which coolant?
It looks gold-ish in color, and when I dip my finger in the reservoir it’s transparent on my finger. If we assume it’s yellow G13 coolant, is it safe to fill up with red G13? Coolant was most likely replaced 50k km ago when previous owner had the timing belt and water pump replaced, so I don’t really feel like flushing the coolant system to change it, since it seems it’s rather complicated and needs to be vacuum filled if I recall correctly.

Which coolant?
Hi, I need to top up coolant, and from what I understand i will need G13 coolant. However, the color of the existing coolant is bright-yellow, and I can only find red G13 locally. Is it ok to mix these colors? car is a Octavia vRS 2.0 TDI MY2015

Cornering light separate bulb?
Mine has two bulbs en either side, the inner ones are used as fog lights and the outer bulbs are used as cornering lights in conjunction with the fog light. Both bulbs are the same type, a H11/16.

Cooling fans stays on everytime after shutting off
How do i know if mine has the fix?

Cooling fans stays on everytime after shutting off
Ah forgot about that. Isn’t it even more frequent if you have the emissions fix as well? Or so I’ve heard

Cooling fans stays on everytime after shutting off
Hm, weird. Today i saw idle at 1000 rpm yet again and the cooling fan running after shutting the car off. Checked with VCDS and it’s showing 15g of calculated soot and 6g measured. Yet VCDS is also saying that last regen was many thousand seconds ago, which should be correct as it shouldn’t even trigger an active regen until it reaches 22.5g of calculated soot. Think i might also replace the pressure sensor just to be safe. FYI, I did reset oil ash mass after the DPF was cleaned, which also resets soot values.

Cooling fans stays on everytime after shutting off
Yes it did. DPF values before cleaning: Weight: 10105 g Back pressure: 79 mbar Flow: 108 m³/h DPF values after cleaning: Weight: 9870 g Back pressure: 27 mbar Flow: 511 m³/h

Cornering light separate bulb?
Hi, im looking to replace the bulb for the cornering light. Is it the same bulb used for the fog light, or is there a separate bulb for the cornering light? And what lamp type is it? it’s a Octavia VRS -2015

Replace valve cover gasket
Is this rubber diaphragm a part of the valve cover, or is that purchased seperately? If i go the aftermarket route, a complete valve cover with gasket can be had for around 130 euro, so its not all that bad.

Replace valve cover gasket
Hi I have an oil leak from the valve/rocker cover. I’m going to replace the gasket, but I’m wondering if there are any other gaskets or o-rings that should be replaced at the same time? Only thing that comes to mind is injector seals, but I don’t know if that is necessary. Also, would it be pointless to replace the whole valve cover as well? Since it’s plastic and might be prone to cracking. Car is a Octavia VRS 2.0 TDI CUPA -2015 with 240k km

Oil around the filler cap
- Oil around the filler cap
I’ll try running the engine a bit with filler cap off. I did notice fumes coming out when I removed filler cap though, after shutting off the engine, but it was very mild. Could it be PCV valve? - Oil around the filler cap
