  1. I bought a 2020 2.0tdi DSG earlier this year and it drove exactly the way you've described with significant lag on a acceleration. I knew the DSG "learns" your driving style and can appear sluggish if you have a Conservative driving style. There are several videos on YouTube that details "resetting" the DSG so that it can then learn your driving style and for me this has worked very well. I use my Octavia for Private Hire with loads of Motorway miles. In Eco Mode it now responds very quickly, gives excellent MPG due to its Coasting abilities and it is a pleasure to drive. Try a gearbox reset, it's quick, you don't need any special tools and if it doesn't seem to to work you've not lost anything.
  2. I think it's the phone. I have a OnePlus 8T and it does exactly the same thing. The problem seems to be that as long as the phone is not at 100% charge then it works. As soon as it reaches 100% it disconnects from AA. Smartlink then detects it and reconnects it only for the phone to disconnect again as it's at 100% and so on..... There is a lot of chat about this on various OnePlus forums but not a concrete solution. Mine was fine until the Android 12 update but unfortunately nothing's changed with the Android 13 update.
  3. The drivers door lock was changed as it locked me out on a number of occasions. I mentioned it when it went in for a service and they changed it that day. It's almost like they knew it was a thing! Works perfectly now. (1.5 SEL DSG, 19 Plate)
  4. I'm sure the centre console cup holder unit can be removed from the car as it's reversible. Just take it into the shop with you to see what fits.
  5. My seat back definitely used to recline on its own but after reading the quote above I thought I'd try winding the seat forwards and backwards while empty to its fullest extent several times and it seems to have worked! It's like the slack in the mechanism has been taken up and it's not moved since!
  6. I paid off my PCP 4 days after taking delivery of my Karoq. I took out the PCP specifically to qualify for a £1500 deposit contribution and 2 free services with the intention of paying it off straight away. 4 days later I rang VW finance and asked for a settlement figure. They emailed it with their bank details and I paid it, it was as simple as that. They send you a letter that says they no longer have a financial interest in your car and you get to keep all the freebies!
  7. I had the same from the Window Lock button, it really rattled. I didn't want to risk breaking something prizing out the assembly so I doubled over a small piece of black masking tape and slipped it down the side of the button to take up the gap. It doesn't rattle anymore and the button still functions properly. Hope that helps.
  8. When I purchased my Karoq I took out the finance to get the £1500 deposit contribution and the two free services. I then paid off the finance within the first 14 days. My question is, has anyone who has paid off their finance successfully claimed the free services? I'm asking as my first service is approaching and the only proof I have of being entitled to a free service is in my finance agreement which I have paid off? Hope that's not too confusing!
  9. My tyres were all at 50psi when I picked mine up new from the dealer. I didn't know that at the time, I just assumed that as it was new the tyre pressures would be correct. When I did check them out of curiosity a few weeks later I couldn't believe how over inflated they were!
  10. I received the same letter this week. Not sure why they are being so selective with who is on their mailing list? Do you own you car outright? I do. It was suggested earlier in the thread that they may only contacting people who are not leasing/PCP in case they don't have their servicing by Skoda?
  11. When I visited my local dealer to ask about the new update they said that Skoda didn't contact people directly because they expected most people would have their servicing done at a main dealer anyway (ie, the two free services on PCP) so one way or another most cars would be updated during their scheduled service whether it be now or some point in the future!
  12. After posting this I went to my local main dealer and asked what this recall involved. The service staff described it as an 'Alternator Update'. A software update that rectifies a lack of power and a potential to stall at low revs. Pretty much what Apprentice described in a previous post. I think I'm going to go ahead and have it done in the next month or so when I get time. I'll report back the results!?!
  13. I have a May '19 registered 1.5 SEL DSG and my VIN no. is one of the ones flagged as part of a recall campaign although it doesn't specify for what. I've not had any kangarooing but there is a lack of power at low revs especially in D2 but other than that I'm very happy with the car. I'm just a bit concerned that given the diverse range of opinions on this thread there's a chance that an update might actually be detrimental and it won't be possible to undo it.
  14. I've had a suspicion for a few months that my seatback is also slowly slipping back and now I know it's not just me! I've got the optional manual leather seats. I'm going to raise it with the dealer at the first service but that won't be for a while but in the meantime it will be good to see if anyone else has any success with this with their dealer.
  15. I toggle between digital Speed & Turn by Turn whenever I need to using the View button on the steering wheel. . The View button takes you back to the previous screen so as long as the previous thing you displayed before using the Sat Nav was the digital Speed then you can swap between them at will.
