  1. These torque limits are not accurate, they are mostly based on brackets of torque that the manufacturer will use each gearbox for. I've heard the rods are only good for 300Nm and my DQ200 only good for 250Nm but I've been running over 300Nm for two years and done 6 track days. A 1.4 swap has been done and due to the similarities it's on the easier end of the spectrum of engine swaps, same with the gearbox upgrade. You need to weigh up the cost to value for you. I hope to do the 1.4 swap in the next couple of years. When my dad retires I hope to be able to use his unit as at the moment I've got nowhere to do it
  2. I've got the RTMG intake, you need to relocate the battery slightly so it fits. I used a Dremel to open out the stock vent on the inside of the grill and used an exhaust hanger to hold the carbon part into it. For the money and effort there are other options just as good https://www.instagram.com/p/ChiO9AWrkF4/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= https://www.instagram.com/p/CQdmaPCHb04/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
  3. Try the Fabia mk2 pages, rtmg do a hybrid if you have the £££
  4. Easiest way is the turbo location, EA111 has the turbo at the front of the engine bay and the EA211 has the turbo at the back of the engine bay
  5. Makes me glad that I was young and reckless before camera phones and Internet immortality of mistakes.
  6. Little update with my build, I folded and ordered an rtmg turbo and carbon intake. I fitted the turbo last week and tomorrow I'm taking a trip back to my tuner to get a cuatom map for it. Was at 183bhp and 296Nm on the 1.4 turbo. Not really expecting a massive leap, my 1.4 turbo was 2nd hand and I was getting a bit nervous about it not blowing up (know of 2 doing so fairly recently) but it was running really nice. I have absolute faith that Leon at Road Rage Performance will work wonders with the new hardware. It will be ready by the end of the day tomorrow but for logistical reasons I'll pick it up Wednesday. In other news, I completed the 288mm to 312mm front disc upgrade. I used nearly new discs and pads from a member of another group that had upgraded to a BBK on his mk1 Octavia VRS, carriers from a mk1 1.8 TT off eBay and some Hel braided lines. It feels OEM but with massive stopping power when you press on. Plus they fill the wheels better, just need to paint them now.
  7. Maybe go on a forum for that engine then rather than expect people with a total different car to know about yours. Contacting Darkside Developments might be an idea too
  8. 1) I don't know if your engine and turbo are the same as ours. 2) if it is, you can run the same turbo swap. My original turbo was 04E145721L and I'm now running 04E145721F. 3) I installed my turbo last summer and at that time had an intake kit and stock exhaust. I had it mapped and the "before" run (no tuning) gave a nice power and torque curve, you'll find it posted quite a few pages back. When I remapped it I had issues at higher revs which turned out to be caused by my stock exhaust/cat being too restrictive. 4) despite driving nicely and having a bit more power I can't say how good long term running and bigger turbo would be for your cars health. There's a possibility it could run too lean and cause issues. 5) my car runs nice with good power now but I've spent a lot on supporting mods. If you're not going to do that then you're probably best of getting just a remap with intake and cat-back, should see a safe 145bhp ish
  9. Steering wheels will fit, some airbags are the same. I've got a mk3 Octavia VRS wheel with DSG paddles on my Fabia
  10. Think it's due to it being DSG, it doesn't run down the same after the run. I don't have a suitable private runway for a top speed run lol.
  11. Stock is quoted as 175Nm at 1400rpm. I'm willing to live with that slight deficit 🤣🤣
  12. Latest dyno print from Road Rage Performance after my visit today. Since moving premises and changing his dyno he's found his old setup overread torque so my old peak torque of 336Nm was inaccurate. Since then I've added a DIY cold air feed, MST turbo inlet and the big change was the 2.5inch turbo-back exhaust with sports cat. I'm now seeing peak bhp of 183bhp @ 6170rpm and 296Nm @ 2820
  13. I'm running 1.5 bar, your exhaust will be fine, RTMG are based in Greece
