My car was due to be built this week but I'm not confident I'll get confirmation from my dealer,i really don't think they can see much from their end but obviously someone in the skoda factory knows precisely where it is etc

Superb Mk4
Anyone know how that compares with the price of the equivalent Mk3 in the German market? Just curious cos I'm expecting my new Mk3 to be nailed together next week and I feared the Mk4 would come with a significant price increase at least here in the UK

My dealer didn't hesitate at all when saying it won't get to them until January. I'm sure I read somewhere that there are delays shipping cars from Europe to the UK, not all down to brexit but I think there have been problems at some of the ports. No matter, I'm happy to wait and enjoy my last few months with my 280 sport line!

Current Factory Delivery Times
Well after seemingly banging my head off a brick wall for the past 2 weeks and being told over and over again that "computer says no" I'm delighted to say that Skoda UK have fixed my faulty order and I'll now get the options I specified when I placed my order. My car is due to be built in week 46 but according to my dealer I shouldn't expect delivery until the new year.

Well we're getting a bit off topic but reversing into my preferred position on my drive is problematic. Anyway, I'm leaning towards accepting the car with the beige headlining and no rear window wiper if my attempts to get the order changed come to nothing. The deal is unbeatable and I dread to think what the new version will cost when the price is finally announced (and I've said before I'm not too keen on what they've done to the interior).

Apparently its impossible to order a new Superb now so cancelling and reordering isn't an option. The dealer implied that you're pretty much starting from scratch fitting a new wiper, no electrics etc etc. They aren't going to budge on that even if there are people on here that know its not that hard. I'm just coming up against "computer says no" everywhere. The thing is, you and I know that if someone important wanted to amend their order they'd find a way, its a policy thing I suspect and they don't want to encourage buyers to think that they can change things as the build date nears. There's loads of posts on here and elsewhere where people have discovered the same brick wall I'm now bashing my head off!

Current Factory Delivery Times
Hi. I have to reverse back off my drive every time I get in my car and I usually have to give the rear window a wipe to make it clearer to see if anything is coming, I live in a very damp part of the UK! Can't say I've ever thought the wiper looked ugly. By the way I'm getting nowhere in terms of getting the order changed, simply not possible I keep being told but I've gone to the top of the tree so we'll see. Also theoretically it may be possible to retrofit the wiper it would cost a fortune even assuming you could get all the necessary parts so the dealer isn't too keen on that idea.

I'm not particularly concerned about the build date, I'm in no rush to get my new car. My biggest concern is that for some reason Skoda are unable to change my order even though I would have thought fitting a different colour headliner and sticking a rear window wiper on can't be that much of a headache, it's not like I want a different trim level or engine. If I'm stuck with the car as currently ordered then I have a hard decision to make, I'm concerned that its going to be a constant niggle that I didn't get what I asked for, especially when I can't see out the rear window!

Current Factory Delivery Times
You know that feeling you get when you sense something isn't quite right.... After hearing that I had a provisional build week for my car I went back to the dealer asking him to confirm exactly what had been ordered, whilst I have lots of paperwork from when I signed up there was nothing that went into detail. Anyway to my alarm it turns out 2 things have gone wrong. Their order form is correct but somehow when entering the order on the skoda system they omitted to specify black headlining. Secondly the sales person, who's since left the dealership, stated that there's no need to select the cost free rear window wiper as this is fitted by the dealer so that was missed off. The dealer told me yesterday this isn't correct. So the dealer is getting onto skoda to try and amend the order, given they're relatively minor and I've only got a provisional build week I'm thinking it shouldn't be a problem but we'll see. So a word to the wise, leave absolutely nothing to chance!

Reached out to my dealer and he's come back to me this morning to advise that my car has been assigned a predicted week 46 build date. Not heard a thing. I'm 10 weeks into my wait which was estimated at 20 weeks when I placed the order.

Well the car I ordered hasn't got the 360 system, nor is it 4x4 so theoretically shouldn't be a long delay! I'm joking of course but not going to bother chasing the dealer as I really don't think they have a clue. Delivery times remain a problem, relative was told her vw would be delivered this month but still no sign of a build date let alone the car itself.

How to go about buying a new Superb?
I thought I'd stumbled across the same thing a week or two ago and reported the same on this forum. However it seems to be a glitch in the skoda website. Sometimes you see the stock only message, sometimes not. In any event it can't be much longer before they close the order book for good.

I don't think dealers have much more info than us and will do/say pretty much anything to secure a sale! I'm not holding my breath, indeed, the deal I got seemed too good to be true at the time so I said I'd believe it was real when I actually got the keys to my car. Thankfully I'm in no rush so content to wait.

No new factory orders for Mk3 in UK, stock only
By coincidence I got an email from my dealer today advising no news. I'm only 5 weeks into my wait though.

No new factory orders for Mk3 in UK, stock only
Just noticed on the Skoda UK website that you can no longer select the L&K in hatchback, only estate and all trims are labelled as "available from stock only". Assume this means that Skoda are preparing to shut down the Mk3 assembly line. I know there's a few of us that are in the queue waiting for our build dates for our Mk3's so I wonder if this means we might hear something soon? EDIT - That's weird. depending how you enter the site you either see what I described above or you see the full configurator which says nothing about stock only, very strange!

Speed limit display on dash? (no traffic sign recognition)
I asked a similar question a few years back and seems its not possible unfortunately.

How to go about buying a new Superb?
My comment was tongue in cheek based on the fact that when I Google for real world images of superbs in the new royal green there's only one example to be found. That said it only became available about 3 months back so that could explain it.

Superb Mk4
Each to their own but I too am relieved that I ordered a mk3 l and k. I'm not a fan of those ubiquitous tablets sticking out the top of dashboards. This looks like the cognac leather option I went for. I'm really not sure if I'm going to like it but I did fancy a change....

How to go about buying a new Superb?
How many constitutes a gaggle? I'm just 4 weeks into my wait but in my case there might be an extra delay while they mix the paint, gone for Royal Green and my Google searches have only found one car in that colour!

Skoda Superb, Canton and Android Auto
I'm not going to be any help but confirm that occasionally my galaxy fold 3 refuses to connect to my Columbus canton system on my 2021 sportline. The next time I start the car it'll be fine without me changing a thing! I've fiddled about with it to no avail and now just live with the intermittent problem.

How to go about buying a new Superb?
Not sure why you're saying L&K Superb has been removed from configurator, I just checked and it's still there! I ordered a new L&K 190 just 2 weeks ago, delivery due in about 20 weeks but could well be sooner. There are very few in the country so if you're after a specific colour/spec you'll likely have to do a factory order. I wanted Royal Green with cognac leather for a complete change. Got a fantastic deal on the 190 but for some reason the 280 was ridiculously expensive. Definitely get in touch with at least 2 dealers so you know you are getting a decent deal. I went pcp cos I don't want to hand over a huge wedge of cash at the outset, been there and done that too many times. I was worried about missing out on the mk4 but from what little has leaked I'm less and less concerned. Plus I fear the new version will be more expensive than I can justify.

Superb Mk4
It's OK, I didn't make myself clear enough. What I was meaning was I haven't used/owned a car that's reached its 3rd birthday for about 40 years as I've always had company cars or changed them before they needed an MOT. Its become ingrained so I have an overwhelming desire to change as the third birthday looms, nothing whatsoever to do with not wanting to maintain my car!

Superb Mk4
Well I was worried that if I went with another mk3 I'd miss out on a fabulous new interior but if it turns out to be a variation on the Scala/Kamiq dash then I'll be mightily relieved, doesn't look any thing special to me.

Superb Mk4
Well I contacted a helpful dealer and they made me an offer that seems too good to be true so have bitten their hand off and ordered the 190 L&K in Royal Green with cognac interior. The cost per month has fallen by very nearly 20% since I enquired in May, combination of factors, lower interest rate than before (odd when you consider UK interest rates are rising steadily), an extra £1k contribution from Skoda, lower settlement figure and the value of my Sportline Plus holding up remarkably well. 20 weeks delivery time but a fair chance will come in under that so should be a nice Christmas present. The market is nuts at the moment but I still can't fathom why it's suddenly so much cheaper to change. Out of curiosity I asked for figure for switching to a 280 L&K but that was a lot more money, more than the difference in list price could account for. I guess it's just possible they're discounting non 280's a fair bit to fill the order books before shutting down the mk3 production line but whatever is going on I'm one happy bunny tonight!
