Expensive heated windscreen
Excellent if true! I'd be very happy with that. Thanks for the update.

Expensive heated windscreen
On this subject, does anyone know if the heated windscreen is a climate windscreen (as fitted to Seat Atecas) or does it have filaments? i've ordered the Winter Package Plus for my new Sportline, and I'm hoping it's the climate windscreen. The Passat I had before my current Karoq had the filament windscreen, which I did get used to, but the filaments are visible if you focus too much.

Build Times for new Karoq
I contacted my dealer to try to find out if a build week had been allocated yet. I've received a reply saying my car is due to be built in week 15, week beginning 11th April and they anticipate it arriving in early May. I'm crossing everything in the hope it doesn't slip.

Fascinating! Thanks for posting.

Build Times for new Karoq
That''s interesting. I ordered mine from the dealer on 23rd February, although the order wasn't submitted to Skoda until 28th Feb (the salesman sent me a link for a video clip showing his computer screen as the order was sent!). it will be interesting to see if I receive any news soon.

Plastic on wheels !?
In the brochure, the only model which specifically mentions "matt black aero inserts" is the Sportline.

Plastic on wheels !?
They do. It's an idea borrowed from the Enyaq and it's supposed to improve aerodynamics. They are removable though and I intend removing them from my new Sportline when it arrives.

Just out of curiosity, what did you order and when?

Build Times for new Karoq
That's incredibly quick. I wonder if it's because it's a standard spec.

Karoq 2022 Brochure
I did have errors myself when I opened it. I think it's probably not the "final" version, but I got the best viewing experience on my iPad.

When did you order? I placed my order on 23rd, so was wondering when I might receive a similar email.

Ordered Face-lift Karoq Sportline
DSG, as my SEL is. Wouldn't go back to a manual now. Also went for ACC as I wouldn't be without that either, Temporary steel space saver spare wheel - 215/60 R16, and Winter Package Plus.

Ordered Face-lift Karoq Sportline
I've just ordered a Sportline too. The salesman told me that the Karoq is the only model on the ordering system with no delivery time estimates, so he's suggested it could be between 3 and 6 months. I'm taking the more pessimistic view of 6 months. A Sportline with all of the kit, and more, that I'd configured on an SEL for less than £1000 extra cost is too good to refuse. Graphic grey is the colour I've gone for, and there was a Kodiaq in that colour in the showroom, so it was good to see it on an actual car.

Facelifted Karoq - Prices and specs revealed
the virtual cockpit is standard on all versions, though the larger version (10.5" I think) is an upgrade.

Facelifted Karoq - Prices and specs revealed
There is an option on the SE-L for Electrically operated tailgate with virtual pedal at £730 (I added this option while configuring), and it does have Varioflex seats.

Facelifted Karoq - Prices and specs revealed
So, has anyone ordered yet? I think I shall be making a trip to my dealer very soon. I was originally looking at the 1.5 Tsi SEL DSG with various addons, but then had a look at the Sportline. For a little under £1000 more than the SEL I'd planned on going for, I could get the Sportline with all of the features I want, some of which are standard on the Sportline anyway, plus additional features which are also standard on the Sportline, such as sunroof, matrix LED headlights, etc. It seems to be a no-brainer.

Clunking noise from dashboard(?)
Around 6-7 weeks ago, my car developed a clunking noise which seems to come from somewhere behind the dashboard, on the driverās side (although there are occasions when I think itās coming from the rear offside). When driving over a rough surface (and in Glos., there are many given the overall poor state of the roads) or over speed humps/cushions, I hear a series of dull clunking noises, which is most annoying. The rest of the time, the car is wonderfully free of annoying rattles. The obvious answer is to book in with the dealer to get it looked at, but in these weird Covid times, everything is such a faff that Iāve held back from doing this. I was just wondering if anyone else had had a similar experience and what the outcome might have been.

2 Cylinder Mode - Query
I wonder if anyone could help me with a query. Prior to the Karoq, I had a Passat 1.4Tsi ACT with manual gearbox. With the Passat, I could travel on motorways under cruise control at up to 75 mph, and the engine would be operating in 2 cylinder mode. Thatās not what I am experiencing with the Karoq, and above 40 mph, I donāt seem to see any 2 cylinder mode operation. Is this what other owners are experiencing? Perhaps comparing my experience with the Passat is unreasonable.

New KESSY key with motion sensor
Iād be interested to hear of anyone elseās views or experiences regarding this topic. I collected my new Karoq 1.5 Tsi SEL DSG 2 days ago, and very pleased with it I am too. In my eagerness to get out of the showroom and actually enjoy driving it, I forgot to ask if the car had been supplied with the new keys. A couple of incidents over the first 2 days made me wonder though. I always drive with my keys in my pocket (I had a Passat previously, with keyless ignition, but not keyless entry, so became accustomed to having the keys in my pocket), currently jeans pocket, but jacket pocket in cooler weather. A few times when getting out of the car after driving, Iāve attempted to lock the car by touching the sensor on the handle, and it has refused to lock, leading me to press the lock button on the key to lock it. I began to wonder if it actually did have the new keys, and Iāve just conducted an experiment. I taped the key to the front driverās side tyre, then checked that I could unlock/lock the car by touching the handle, which I could. I then left the key there for 20 minutes, then went out to try to unlock the car by gripping the door handle. It wouldnāt unlock. I removed the key from the tyre, gave it a little shake for good measure, then tried again, and the car unlocked. I donāt know if this is sufficiently conclusive to prove that the keys do have motion sensors. I could check with the dealer, but Iām not overly confident that they would be able to provide a definitive answer. Anyone have any observations? Thanks in anticipation.
