  1. Thanks yeah I have a pressure bleed kit. Even that confused me as says don't exceed 20psi so I assume I need to deflate my tyre down from 30 before I use it? Previously used a hand vacuum pump but didn't have great results from it tbh and takes quite a lot of pumping 😁
  2. Thanks guys there is no mention of MQ 200 on my sticker. Also Euro parts don't list part numbers or aftermarket equilvalent codes other than their own product code... https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/sachs-clutch-slave-cylinder-137440240 Nothing is ever straight forward is it 😂
  3. Good evening all. I'm having an issue with my clutch not holding pressure. Symptoms such as creeping forward in first gear after a minute or 2 of having clutch fully down and biting point being right at the bottom. Also if holding pedal down for a long time it doesn't always spring right back up without pumping it. I'm going to try and bleed it at the weekend but I suspect I may need to replace the slave cylinder as well. I looked at my boot sticker and it has a GSH gearbox code. My mk1 fabia is a 1.2 htp. I was looking to see where I could source the part. The Sachs one that came up on euro parts had fitment detail of MQ 200 but doesn't mention GSH code. So my question is the GSH gearbox a varient of the MQ 200 as couldn't see a slave cylinder specifically for this gearbox code. If this doesn't fix the issue I'm guessing master cylinder could be at fault. Car has only done 56k. Thanks in advance 😁
  4. Where did you find these models mate please I've been looking all over for 1 😂 preferably in gold 😁
  5. This was a nice little cheap upgrade about ÂĢ9 off eBay and 2 mins to fit 😁
  6. The red one looks like it's riding a bit high tbh maybe it's had new shocks recently ðŸĪ”
  7. Looks great 😁 must be nice to have it back. My new gear knob and gaitor arrived from China today looks really good for 9 quid! Got that and the VRS wheel to install at the weekend 😊
  8. Sad times! Do you know when it will be ready to drive again?
  9. At least you know what the issue is now, was there an error code relating to throttle position sensor? I had the issue in my daughter's Corsa and changed the pedal myself as comes as a complete sealed unit from Vauxhall. Not sure if the Skoda is the same or if the sensor is under the bonnet 😁
  10. What issues are you having mate?
  11. Yeah I took the glove box out last week to put a new heater resistor on as speed 1 had stopped working, noticed a small paper sticker with a date printed on it I think.
  12. Mine was reg 13th June 2006 so missed it's birthday 😁
  13. Quick update after many hours of searching and head scratching I managed to find the part.number is 1J0971584H which might be useful for someone in the future. It's shared across other VAG cars as the VRS wheel is used in other cars just with different badges. They are not cheap new, I think ÂĢ50+ from dealers but I managed to track one down on eBay at a breakers for ÂĢ10 😁
  14. Maybe I should start driving cars over to Ireland to sell 😂
  15. That's crazy! 10k for a 10 year old car, I just sold a 2016 Fabia estate 1.6 diesel DSG with 50k for ÂĢ10k
  16. I saw a 1.2 for sale this week for ÂĢ795 I thought that's a bargain then saw it had done 260k miles ðŸĪĢ
  17. Alloys look great 😁 I might be tempted by some VRS alloys for mine
  18. Yeah I might do that 😁 sadly I broke the wiring loom of the new wheel and I now need to buy a new one. Was a bit clumsy releasing the airbag and trying to find the part number for it as the old one is different. The air bag connector sprung apart 😏
  19. Your car looks great. I picked up my little golden nugget a few weeks ago. It's an 06 with 54k I former keeper. Just bought a VRS leather steering wheel for it and a new set of wheel trims. It's only a 1.2 54bhp but fun to drive as can rev the heck out of it 😁
  20. Hi guys I have acquired a VRS steering wheel to fit to my MK1 Fabia. When I unclipped the airbag from it the airbag slipped out of my hand and pulled the wiring harness which then sprung apart the airbag connector as can be seen in the photo the red tiny wire has uncoiled. I checked the wiring harness on the old wheel and it is different so cannot use it for this wheel. So going have to try and source a new cable I think. I don't suppose anyone would happen to know the part number for this please. I have looked on eBay and cannot find one that looks right. Many thanks in advance 😁
  21. Thanks guys mine is BMD also. It was strange it has only done it the 1 time and I noticed it was after it took 2 cranks to start. Once the engine had been switched off and restarted it was fine and I have done about 150 miles since then without an issue. I'll keep an eye on it but if it does it again I will try a new crank sensor as that code seems to relate to that. I was concerned that the chain might have jumped a tooth or stretched or something after reading other comments, causing an implausible signal at the sensor but I think it's a duplex chain and doesn't rattle so hopefully was just a minor glitch.
  22. Yeah its an oldie ðŸĪĢi read code p0341 camshaft position sensor. I'm wondering if a new sensor would fix it. I did notice that just before it happened I had to crank the engine twice to get it started. Car has only done 54k but I guess it's possible the chain has skipped a tooth or gone a bit slack. Debating to just fit a new sensor first and see if that cures it ðŸĪ”
  23. This is a very old thread but just wondering if it was ever resolved as noticed that mine is doing the same thing now
  24. Thanks for this, that explains it. From what I've read the dealers are suggesting 4 to 5 hours Labour plus the cost of the part ðŸ˜Ģ maybe it's time to trade for a manual box ÂĢÂĢÂĢÂĢ
  25. Hi all. I have a 2016 1.6 tdi with 7 speed DSG. Car has done 47k and always serviced by main stealer. I keep getting a random message flash up on the screen between the dials. It is accompanied by a bong and only stays on for around a second. Seems to do it maybe once or twice a week. It disappears so quickly that it's hard to read but says something about Workshop and to put / leave car in P. The car and gearbox are working fine and don't seem to be affected by this. I don't think there is a way to access the message on the screen once it has disappeared and there are no warning lights on. I tried using my basic OBD scanner but it didn't show any stored faults. Guessing it will need plugging into VCDS or something more sophisticated to communicate with the gearbox. Reluctant to go back to dealer as assume they charge a fortune for diagnostics. I love the DSG but now the car is out of warranty starting to feel a bit apprehensive about potential repair bills if it goes wrong. Has anyone else come across this message please? TIA
