Finding my way

Everything posted by StoneFist85

  1. First time hearing about it. Could you tell something more? I've VCDS
  2. That's exactly what's happening yet nor one person in skoda is acknowledging that issue
  3. Hi all, I'm trying to find out if my coolant expansion tank contains infamous silicat bag and can't seem to find anything on here or even Google search. From my search I've figured out that tank in my car has part number 5WA121407F. All I was able to find was that round type expansion tanks did contain silicat but nothing about this type ot tank. I would be very grateful for any information as I'm planning on changing my coolant and would like to know how to prepare myself for this operation.
  4. It's not any analysis, I'm just telling how I feel getting attacked for something that's not my intention. Them light are there for a reason, they aren't working as they should so I'm looking to get them fixed and asking for solution not for someone's opinion, especially when they talk nonsense.
  5. Yeah but that works for each dual carriageway as per GPS. It is annoying and to counter some people from previous posts that tried to make us look like worse evil - I'm annoyed because I can't use it without blinding other people and that's what I want to avoid
  6. Yes, I have vcds and yes I'm guessing that coding module is required to tell car to dip right instead left lamp, just a problem as to where it is.
  7. So your car is doing it correctly, dipping left lamp not to blind oncoming traffic but keeping side of the road fully lit. In UK it should be the opposite with right lamp dipping and left staying on. Year on and I'm still not any wiser as to how to fix that issue. No help from my local Skoda dealer.
  8. Hi @Gizmo , you can add me to this list too (VCDS HEX+NET and OBD11) Limavady area, Northern Ireland
  9. Does anyone know if you could change it from 3 to 5 blinks using this option? I had it changed on my previous Octavia using ODB11 to 5 flashes and it worked for me, on Superb I didn't had that option on OBD11 but now I could try with VCDS
  10. Here's list that I've followed using VCDS and got it working, only difference is that I've not done adaptation part on A5, only coding (initially had some issues but I'm guessing it was because I was trying to enable it using OBD11 few months ago and must have change something somewhere that was stopping me from enabling it now). Currently everything is working fine with lane assist, just having issue with blind spot (It works and I can enable/disable it on maxidot but I've lost option to enable/disable and adjust brightness on MMI).
  11. So I've managed go get lane assist switched in multicolour display and it works fine (only sitting in wrong order and not sure if there is way of sorting this) but still no joy with lines changing colours between grey/green/orange.
  12. Sorry to coming back to this post again, last time when I was trying to code lane assist using OBD11 I was having issues and only recently bought VCDS. I have it coded now and operational (not sure if fully) but there seems to be some other issues. I can't see option for Lane Assist on multicolour display on cluster to be able to enable/disable it (only ACC, speed limit, side, front and rear assist) also when enabled from options in radio all I have on cluster is orange/green icon on bottom of screen and no lines appear on multicolour part where you setup distance for ACC. Another issue I have is that when I was working with OBD11 I must have somehow disable brightness adjustment for side assist - blind spot on radio. Anyone had similar issues and could help?
  13. I've just coded Lane Assist today and have opposite to you. I have orange/green icon below multicolour screen but lines on multicolour part. It only shows all grey regardless of adaptive lane assist enabled/disabled. This is both with and without ACC on. Also what I've notices that I can only enable it on radio, not on assist menu on speedometer. Coding used is the same as yours
  14. I've spoken to my local skoda dealer and they basically told me they know nothing about it and if that's how they work it must be right. Fair enough I was chatting with women on reception and then she was forwarding it to their technicians (as if they couldn't come to speak with me directly). I'll have to go there soon when I book my car for recall and try to speak with someone more educated.
  15. Hi @Lutz_91 I see your car is pre-facelift so there's plenty info about this but I couldn't find much to go for with FL models like mine.
  16. I've followed steps of this video included, I know it's in Polish but all commands in the wideo are in English
  17. Where do I check it using OBDeleven?
  18. Has anyone been able to code lane assist in FL Superb? I have 2020 SE L and followed guy in this video Skoda Superb MK3 FL Lane Assist coding (he's Polish but so am I so hadn't any issues following his steps). I've done each step like him using OBDeleven PRO and only managed to get option shown on radio screen and maxidiot but with exlamation mark and unable to actually enable it 😭
  19. Will you stop crying about dazzling other drivers? Seriously all you do is complaining about it, sounding like someone frustrated who complains as he would like to have them lighs but can't so just keeps complaining about others having them. Sorry if I'm brutal here but that's how it looks and you haven't brought anything for the matter that's being discussed here. Does anyone here said they are using it when it doesn't work as it should? No... I'm not using it but this doesn't change the fact that if it would work as supposed I would use it. With smile on my face and full confidence I do not blind anyone on opposite side of the road. The whole problem is with Skoda not acknowledging that there is a problem with them lights and not offering solution.
  20. Yes, there is setting for left/right hand traffic but I haven't noticed any difference in light pattern no matter the setting. It seems that this isn't working only for UK (right hand drive cars) as lights are working like in continental Europe and not swapping for other side.
  21. I've noticed exactly the same with my car, when on dual carriageway left light isn't switching on almost at all, right working as should. On a single lane all working fine. I thought that I got some problems with this car (only got it for a month so still working out some features and all). I even tried to stop the car and swap from left hand traffic to right hand traffic but as soon as I restarted car it swapped back to LHT. Fair enough I was changing it when car was running and gearbox sitting on P. Maybe it would stay switched to RHT when changed with ignition on but engine off. Will test it today as I have another long run after dark.
  22. Well my cars battery was barely 3 years old (67k miles) and also 70ah varta AGM. Got that. 2/3rd of capacity I would say is bad for start/stop battery. I had 8 year old varta on my 2015 octavia and it was still working OKish. Car was starting and all but started having some issues and errors on dash. Only thing was- I've disabled start/stop shortly after buying car (4 years and 75k miles when bought). Sold it with 145k miles. So I would start with replacing battery. Now in superb I have to remember to switch off start/stop every time I start car as it is working again and from what I found it can't be switched off using obd11
  23. I had exactly the same problems in my 2020 SEL Exec. Only got car few weeks ago. Start stop hardly ever worked, even after 120+ miles drive, was showing vehicle high power consumption, then ACC and horn got temperamental. Got it back to dealer, they've replaced battery and so far all ok. Said they'll order clockspring and lever for ACC as there were some errors but haven't heard back from them yet. (It's indy dealer, not skoda)
  24. Is there any way you could find out more as to what was replaced? I only changed octavia to 2020 superb recently and just noticed that this has happened to me few times with ACC and today appeared that horn isn't working too when ACC isn't switching on. Only got this car few weeks ago and still under dealer warranty (unfortunately not skoda dealer). I had my car scanned with OBDeleven and had 1 fault for bus comms error and about battery undervoltage.
