  1. Just had a go: Tried to start it.. and nothing. Lights on the dash and a quick clicking. Checked the voltage with my cheap multimeter: 12.6-12.8v Attached the USB jumper and it turned over first try. Checked the voltage when running and it is 15.8 ISH currently. I have no idea what any of that means.. but with it being 12.8v I would have assumed it would start?
  2. Essentially should any that come up for my car reg work? Is there any reason but to go for the cheaper one? Or should I go for Varta or Bocsh?
  3. Well I know it is low as the car won't currently start! Do I need to code if I replace like for like? What would a good replacement battery be?
  4. It's seems that I'm having some battery woes. Tried to start the car.. lights on the dash, but car won't turnover. Borrowed my neighbours USB rechargable booster pack and it jumped no problem. Started first time. Left it running for 20 mins and it started up fine the next morning. Drove to work (20 mins) and at the end of the day needed a jump (cables this time.. again.. right away no problem) Drove home and next day was fine. Then yesterday... Dead again.. jumped off the new usb booster I bought fine. Car is a 66 plate, i bought used about 5 or 6 years ago and hasn't had a new battery in my time. So I'm assuming new battery required? Now I know next to nothing about it but I am happy to source the battery myself and I'm assuming there will be a video guide out there to fit the battery?.. and I'm assuming by doing so I will probably save myself some money Vs going to Halfords? My questions are: 1) does this sound a solid plan 2) what battery exact should I buy (assuming online purchase will be cheapest) link and suggested retailer would be amazing (again my knowledge here is next to none) Ive attached photos of the current installed battery info.
  5. Trying to pick up a spare wheel for our 2020 Kamiq SE-L which has the 18" crater wheels. From other threads I think we have established an 18" will not fit the wheel well in the boot (unsure about 17") but 16" should to act as an emergency spare (obviously unmatched rims is not ideal, but needs mut I just want to check would this from eBay make a good buy? Im a bit clueless when it comes to tyres etc. ebay link Any help is greatly appreciated!
  6. Not gonna lie.. I'm ****ing clueless when it comes to what should and shouldn't be. Do I need to match all the numbers on the current tyres (apart from the rim number?)
  7. So.. jumping back in here, now we have the car. I haven't been able to test to see if the 18 will fit yet (just haven't had the time) but the 16 spare alloy from my Octavia fits lovely with a bit of wiggle. So would getting a 16" alloy do the job? (I will still check the 18 when i get a chance.) Basically will this work out for the car? (Fit the vehicle and be a good idea): https://ebay.us/m/2nkC3I Its cheaper to get a used alloy than a new 16" steel
  8. Thanks guys. These are all super useful answers! It looks like I will be looking for a fullsized 16" spare I reckons! I will do a double check as suggested with taking a wheel off... But with expectations managed!
  9. Oh yea its definitely about getting matching, but since you said probably not I was curious about the spacesaver you had, I'm assuming it's not an 18" one?
  10. Thanks for taking the time I really appreciate it. What sized space saver are you using?
  11. Jumping on a little hijack here. But I'm in a similar situation about to get a new (to me) 2021 Kamiq SE-L with just goo. Was looking at just picking up a matching alloy on ebay but am now aware it may not fit! Will the standard 18" alloy that comes with the 2021 Kamiq fit in the wheel well?
  12. Given the jets a clear out and the washer water does move through without an issue. Just no movement in the arm.
  13. Rear wiper seems to have packed in and wont move Ive seen some have had success by clearing the jets, no impact for me. Is there any other bits that could cause it yo not work other than a failed wiper motor? Could aftermarket LED bootlights somehow cause the problem (they have been installed for over a year so im suspecting not in this case?)
  14. I have changed out the lightsbin the boot for LED but I did that about 6 months ago (and never had the problem) Currently there is no alarm... And now im just chosing not to open the boot 🤣 as 2 days ago it was 3 alarm beeps per second... Every second.. for my entire 45 minute journey.......
  15. 2016 pree facelift octy. Im getting the boot open warning go on on and off almost constantly when driving. On-of to the point where it shows the white car, but the alert is not long ebough for the boot 'red door' to pop up most of the time Checking the boot and it is indeed closed. Doesnt matter if i give it a good slam or anything. Has just started happening and is starting to drive me made with the constant alarm bong going off. Im assuming a problem with the latch somewhere.. any suggests on what i need to do and... Importantly... How exactly do i do that! 🤣
  16. Hi folks. I picked up a 5e0919605m 8" screen on ebay for a decent price, but didn't realise that the bottom piece of trim was missing from it. I'm feeling a bit silly now really. Is there any way of picking that small bit of trim up from anywhere?
