  1. Yep Bike rack slides down if boot access needed. But it’s only on the once or twice a year trips that I need to get into the boot when having the Bikes on the back.
  2. In my view it depends how often it will be used. I certainly wouldn’t want to faff about removing seats or bits of the bike other than for occasional use. I routinely have my bike on the car three times a week which is why I specified the (admittedly fairly expensive) tow bar on my 2019 1.5 Tsi Karoq. No regrets here….
  3. Trevor - if you know you want to tow a caravan and are buying new why not just get a tow bar fitted at the factory? Job done.
  4. The tow bar prep consists of adding suitable wiring and an ‘upgraded’ radiator grille and fan to improve cooling. The max tow weight is the same for any given model, though Skoda would no doubt say you shouldn’t tow without having the appropriate prep. I had a factory fitted tow bar and it works brilliantly, though I only use it for a bike rack.
  5. Agree that it’s annoying the Sat Nav system isn’t easy. But like most folk I just use Google (Apple also available) and ignore VAGs pathetic offering, Though i do religiously update Skoda maps for some reason. Can’t stand wasting time watching a video when I can read how to do something in 30 seconds. Showing my age, I guess. Extraordinary no manual is available for download in a readable format.
  6. Just use Google maps, Waze or Apple. No need to pay.
  7. Sadly I don’t believe there is. I too would have loved a quick easy date check on say the Nav screen. Rather an obvious oversight I’d say but perhaps the efficient Germans always know what date it is and don’t need to check.
  8. Did you unzip the new folder before loading to the SD card?
  9. That’ll be the importers problem (Skoda Uk) not yours.
  10. Thanks. So nowhere when it’s running?
  11. I have a standard spec SE L (other than It has a fitted tow bar). Is there anywhere in the various display screens where it shows the date? Not the end of the world if it doesn’t of course, but I do find that a useful bit of info to have to hand. Thanks
  12. Great idea. Duh - why didn't I think of that? Tried it out and I can report that they must have motion sensors - @ c15 minutes door won't open at c10 minutes it did. Thanks for the help. Seems I have wasted £20 on a Faraday box.
  13. I see ŠKODA say in their model year 2020 Release: KESSY with a motion sensor ŠKODA is gradually equipping all of its models with the KESSY vehicle entry key with a motion sensor, thereby reducing the risk of the car being stolen or broken into. In this system, which is optional for the KAROQ.... Having just taken delivery of a new Karoq SE L I’m wondering if I have these new fobs. Anyone know how to I can tell?
