Full Size spare wheel?
Is it possible to have a full Size alloy as a spare wheel? Or does it have to be a Skoda Spare Wheel that's full size?

The Workhorse V2
Ordered some footwell lights from Rocket wires, Really nice kit and the looms are really nice quality. Received them on Saturday, but was out all day on call.... so braved the weather and between rain showers on Sunday to install them for the front anyway. Included was an E-mailed set of instructions which was really easy to follow. Fresh out the packet! Took out the glovebox for easier access, and helped to route to the drivers side. Took the BCM Plug out and wired in as guided by the guide, I've bought his kits before and always liked the integration with the OEM equipment makes it a pleasure to add this OEM+ stuff. Took about 30 mins to do the fronts. Left them there as I needed to go out, then coded them in with VCDS when I got back. The other evening I had some time after work so got on with getting the drivers rear wired in. Managed to get the seat lifted enough so I could route the cable along with the other cables that come up from the floor for the seat. and loosely tie wrapped to the main loom to allow free movement if & when the seat moves. All finished! He does door bin illumination, and the illuminated door warnings which may be my next purchase....

The Workhorse V2
Thank you, They will be small-ish for now Took the old LED Bulbs off the yeti, Which I had in the reverse and rear indicators, to go with the LEDs on the front and the LED side lights. Was quite difficult getting the phone camera to give an accurate difference in the reverse bulbs. These don't show any errors and I told the car through Carista that they are upto 12w LED's so they don't flash on start up, well not that I have noticed yet! I'm looking at what options I have for the front fogs, Am I right in thinking that some models had LED Fogs? Updated the Sat Nav as well. Part of the deal with the trade in was they put the Cross climates from the yeti on, so it went in Tuesday for that, and they've updated the Engine ecu, wouldn't tell me with what. But it did feel a bit more responsive but that could all be in my mind....

Rear brake disc size?
so I used the jack to raise the car, but then used the wheel under the rear subframe to support it but also had a solid wooden box with some planks on top which took the weight of the car, as before I started any work I let the weight off of the jack. I need to invest in some axle stands at some point.

Rear brake disc size?
So bit of an update, Got to the rears all the pads and discs where correct. Pulled something in my arm trying to get those bolts off, ended up using some old play Frame bar on the end of a long wrench to get the bolts shifted. Incredibly happy that I managed to do it all myself, with a little help from my dad as well. Old Discs and Pads Said bolts, Was really pleased that the spline bit didn't slip at all after previous bad experience with them. New vs old... (front ones) New ones on, Been driving on the new brakes for a few weeks, really impressed by the performance of them. and they look the part too. Thanks for the help in getting the correct disks and pads!

Rear brake disc size?
Fitted new discs to the front on my 2013 prefaeclift yeti however i didn't order the rears as most websites quoted two sizes. Anyone a better way to make sure I order the right ones with out having to take the old ones off? It's a 2013 yeti elegance 170bhp 4x4 Thanks Tubamagna8

Potential battery problem
Mine has been idling at 1000rpm on very cold mornings recently. Wouldn't worry about it, may even be the ecu doing it to try and warm itself up a bit quicker.

Retrofit heated screenwash jets?
I can remember seeing something in VCDS about going off a Left light or indicator feed, Which is a bit odd, I have definitely seen it in VCDS coding. There is a site that sells the kit for about €75 with how to wire it up. But you have to purchase it to get the wiring diagram. It's on the list to do, more as a gimmick than anything.

Subwoofer Install idea
Hi, I have the Yeti prefacelift with the Pq Discovery retrofit from a later model, i also have the skoda sound system with the amp under the passenger seat. I've been thinking of fitting a subwoofer from an Audi q3 or similar that fits in the spare wheel in the boot. My question is where is best to take the line level for the subwoofer? I will probably need to run an amp for the sub which isnt an issue. but as i cant seem to see any subwoofer out from either the head unit or the amp module, im a bit stuck as where to get the signal from. Any help would be appreciated Jonathan

Replacing 2011 Yeti Elegance drivers heated seat element
I wouldn't recommend it, I think it could alter the way the seat feels to your bottom, and could cause problems down the line if it was stuck to the same position, Whereas the guide suggests leaving some spare in the little foam cracks, where the seat bolster is. I plan to do this job tomorrow. I can confirm the Seat element cost £44 from the local Skoda dealer.

RNS510 Columbus Possibly for sale
Hi all, I have a RNS 510 with additional Bluetooth module from my Skoda Yeti, after fitting a newer Apple car play unit. I have no use for it now as I really like the newer unit, and its all integrated now. 3t0 035 680S Is the model on the sticker, I gather it has the SSD which has a fair amount of storage for music What kind of price could I get for this item used? Its in really good condition, will get some pictures of it. I know it would need to be coded in? Any help or guidance would be most welcome.

radiator fan continuing for 5 minutes after engine switched off
If its a Manual you may also notice when your slowing down that around 1500rpm that the exhaust is a bit boomy, this is also a tell tale sign that's its doing a regeneration, Another is the shift indicator telling you to shift down at times when you wouldn't expect like doing 30mph in 4th...

S3 8p Intercooler yeti
I’ve seen this discussed around here before, but does anyone know how easy it is to do and what things I would need to look out for? Yeti is already mapped so would hope to help those figures and maybe support future mods.

Photography Thread
Only been on the forum a bit, and just signed up to freedom, Getting the hang of the various topics. I got my D850 about a year ago, epic machine, Have had the D750 for about 4 years. One of the reasons i bought the Yeti was for my photography adventures in the winter, and the summer with the current rain. I studied photography at Sunderland University, and do a bit of commercial photography alongside my Music (Organist) and being an undertaker. I spent a week on the Isle of skye back in November, Took the D850 with me, We stayed in the cottage seen in the distance, Shot this Panoramic 110 HDR images stiched together. Facebook has killed some of the quality but still looks canny...

Few Yeti additions??
Does anyone know if the speed limiter button on the Caddy Van would work on the Yeti, as well as is there anyway to show the cruise control speed on the yeti dash? I've tried looking through on VCDS and can't seem to see an option. 2013 Pre facelift elegance.

The Workhorse
Recently bought this used, Has most options on it including the Panoramic sunroof and the heated windscreen. Originally i wanted the elegance spec and anything on top would be a bonus. Key Specs: 2013 Yeti Elegance 2.0 170BHp 4x4 6spd Manual 43,000 miles Creame Leather interior Panoramic sunroof Front parking sensors Columbus Sat Nav with the "Sound system" I used to have a Vauxhall Meriva B, Which was a nice comfortable drive and had a fair amount of space, however as I'm a photographer as well as other things i wanted something that i could rely on in the wintery conditions when i like to be out the most. But also fancied a change in the car and always had a sweet spot for the Yeti. The Meriva had a fair amount of spec, but really wanted something with Xenons and heated seats. Really enjoying it so far, will be applying a few tasteful modifications to it in the coming months. I do like how there is a much more wider community of modifications and help than there was when i had the Meriva.
