  1. would you sell just the front blanking plate?
  2. Hi All, Just to say I have successfully had the following kit fitted…. Raises the Ride height by about 30mm. I have an L&K Octavia estate with the 4x4 but not a scout model. Wanted that extra ground clearance as not afraid to use it on the odd occasion off road if needed. Also on the way to work often come across some large floods/puddles so this would help. Done over 500 miles since having them fitted, and make no difference to the ride comfort and haven’t noticed any issues with handling. I am Running 225/50 R17 Michelin Cross climates as well, Informed insurance about the lift and no additional charge. 3. I’ve had this fitted by @East_Yorkshire_Retrofits a few years ago on my 17 Octavia, it’s brill even on my manual, lets you change gear and resume. Switches car back on when the car in front moves with the Stop start
  4. I'm still interested in these, mine have broken bits on them with taking them on and off lol

Kufatec 43696 Loom https://www.kufatec.com/en/comfort-retrofits/heated-steering-wheel-cable-set-for-vw-skoda-43696 Bought the steering wheel off of eBay and then bought the loom myself so will sell this as a complete package. I'll include the instructions from Kufatec as well Looking for £250 posted, Located in North east of England. Will be on eBay as well. Only selling as wanting to change the car for something with more spec and space... Touareg, Superb or Kodiaq etc.
  6. Bought used on Ebay a few months back, used in my 2017 Facelift Octavia, Works really well and nice big 9.2 inch display, I am however looking to upgrade the car, so have returned to factory and have this to sell, The item has been unlocked. Works well with my reversing camera as well. It will probably need to some adjustments made depending on the model and line of veichle you want to fit it too, No reversing camera/parking sensors etc. The Only minor thing on the head unit/glove unit is the plastic cover for the FM Ariel is missing, but its still a snug fit so once fitted shouldn't cause any issues! This model has the HDD internally as well as having the SIM card slot, I never got around to sourcing those parts, but I know the Ariel for the 4g/LTE goes behind the rear bumper. The unit has a CD/DVD player. 5E0 919 606 D Display 565 035 021 C H55 Head/Glovebox unit Unlocked! Comes with the Black display cable and a GPS Ariel incase yours doesn't have one Looking for Offers around £880
  7. I've just Received some New Discs from M-Tec, Had them before and brilliant quality for the price these are grooved as well, Originally have the 282mm on the front of my 2017 octavia 4x4 2.0 diesel, But for a bit of extra dosh Ive got the caliper mounts and some pads and discs, will be getting them on in the coming weeks.
  8. Search for Rocket wires, He made up some looms for me and has other options too.
  9. Been pondering these thoughts for a few months, Looking at the Parts diagram I can't see why It wouldn't work. But looking for opinions and ideas. So I had the Yeti which I liked the ride height on, But changed to the Octavia for more space, I couldn't find an a Scout with the spec I wanted, and they where quite pricey for what you got. I got the Octavia SE-L which is 4x4 so I'm halfway there, I was looking at Shocks & Springs and front and rear bumpers, as well as some of the body plastics and the underside protectors. Any thoughts on this, I go out into the wilderness often, especially in the snow for my photography and would like a bit of extra ride height, I had thought about air-ride but that takes up space in the boot and also I'm unsure on the ride quality.
  10. Got on with another project in the past few weeks, now the lighter nights have been happening, but also the weather has been a bit warmer. Started sound deadening the doors. Massive improvement so far, still have the boot to do, and the rear panels. Before I started, I also got another kit from Rocket Wires so that I could replace the red reflector with an Led/Halogen (halogen for now) Had the old halogen ones from my yeti in a draw at home. Also he combined a loom for the front door bin illumination which I had to drill the hole for that, but they work fine and run off the same circuit that the panel and button illumination run off. Think the above is a rear door, But a bit of a before image.... and now the after.. . Dodo mat 2mm I think mat on, then I put the egg cup design on top to absorb the sound. Also still clears the window mechanism. Did the Door card as well, Similar process as they're quite a flat plastic panel. Before: After: I also Lowered the roof liner around the panoramic sunroof. as the panel at the rear has no sound deadening on it. All back together and so far a lot quieter, When I get some time I will probably take the seats out and try to get some under the seats, on the floor pan. Oh and the working Door open Warning light...
  11. i Bought these, theyre superb and he is always on hand for suppourt! Click ME
  12. Next OEM+ mod.... Reversing Camera. Bought new From VWModul Pretty much next day delvery from Germany. Set about installing it, the other evening, first hurdle was trying to get the looms through the existing belows between the boot lid and the body. Bit of Cat5E cable to try and fish the cables through, However that was a struggle, so after a bit of investigation i noticed a similiar route on the other side. Bought another bellow from skoda parts (Part Number 5E9 971 829 A) So packed away then started again today. Pulled the liner out of the side of the boot to aid in routing the cable to the front. Later project will be to sound deaden the rear as its very tiny! Cable all Secure! Routed along the sill. Video signal Wired in then had to swap the Canbus cables out to another plug which came with the kit and put the new cables in there place, this was all explained in the guide provided with the camera, as well as the coding changes. All Complete and back together and it works!
  13. Finished off the footwell lighting. Found it easier to remove bolts for the front seats to nicely route the cable through! Loosely tied up with cable ties, this is just so I can make sure the cable Is routed properly, then I tightened them when I was happy. Whilst the chair was in the position I gave it a good vacuum. Then wanted to check the air filter that was supposedly changed when I bought it about a month ago....
  14. Is it possible to have a full Size alloy as a spare wheel? Or does it have to be a Skoda Spare Wheel that's full size?
  15. Ordered some footwell lights from Rocket wires, Really nice kit and the looms are really nice quality. Received them on Saturday, but was out all day on call.... so braved the weather and between rain showers on Sunday to install them for the front anyway. Included was an E-mailed set of instructions which was really easy to follow. Fresh out the packet! Took out the glovebox for easier access, and helped to route to the drivers side. Took the BCM Plug out and wired in as guided by the guide, I've bought his kits before and always liked the integration with the OEM equipment makes it a pleasure to add this OEM+ stuff. Took about 30 mins to do the fronts. Left them there as I needed to go out, then coded them in with VCDS when I got back. The other evening I had some time after work so got on with getting the drivers rear wired in. Managed to get the seat lifted enough so I could route the cable along with the other cables that come up from the floor for the seat. and loosely tie wrapped to the main loom to allow free movement if & when the seat moves. All finished! He does door bin illumination, and the illuminated door warnings which may be my next purchase....
  16. They didn't say, altho i have noticed now that i have he higher profile tyres on the speedo is bang on with my other GPS gear. will look into the VRS fog lights Had a nice long drive to Yeadon, skipton and then back to county durham today.
  17. Thank you, They will be small-ish for now Took the old LED Bulbs off the yeti, Which I had in the reverse and rear indicators, to go with the LEDs on the front and the LED side lights. Was quite difficult getting the phone camera to give an accurate difference in the reverse bulbs. These don't show any errors and I told the car through Carista that they are upto 12w LED's so they don't flash on start up, well not that I have noticed yet! I'm looking at what options I have for the front fogs, Am I right in thinking that some models had LED Fogs? Updated the Sat Nav as well. Part of the deal with the trade in was they put the Cross climates from the yeti on, so it went in Tuesday for that, and they've updated the Engine ecu, wouldn't tell me with what. But it did feel a bit more responsive but that could all be in my mind....
