Steering wheel heating turns on randomly and won't switch off
So I drive a 2020 model with heated wheel specced. It is a feature I absolutely enjoy having in Winter, just like everyone else. But since this Summer it went out of control. Steering wheel hearing comes on randomly when I start the car. I would normally notice it a couple minutes later, and try to turn it off by cycling through heated seat levels with a button on the climate control unit. Doesn't work, the wheel stays hot. Then I press Menu button on climate unit and try tapping the pictogram on the touchscreen. No luck, my hands still burning. I go to settings and scroll the seat-wheel heating combination options, and only after that I am able to switch the hot wheel off. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any luck fixing it somehow?

Aerodynamic noises on Superb MKIII
Double glazing on the front doors solves the problem.

Infotainment Slow to start
My (2020) infotainment starts up fairly quickly, but Bluetooth takes 2-3 minutes to come alive.

The 280PS Thread
More desirable on the second hand market since it probably wasn't a taxi or a rental like many other Skodas in the first place. Only if it wasn't lowered, mapped and pedalboxed to hell.

Worst suspension in car ownership
Yes exactly, on curved bridges with expansion joints it seriously gets hard to ignore. Maybe it is an issue on all other vehicles with similar suspension geometry, I just find it more noticeable in my Superb because it normally shows a decent directional stability.

Worst suspension in car ownership
Happens in town at 30-50km/h most of the time. The perfect recipe for bumpsteer is to go over any slight imperfection mid-turn, even a manhole cover. It came like that from the factory. Alignment has been checked once and it is spot on. I don't agree with the topic title about worst suspension, because my car ownership includes an even noisier GT86 that is all over the place when going in a straight line. However it is a brilliant car to drive on twisty roads, it just requires steering input all the time. Superb on the other hand is a pleasure to drive on a smooth autobahn. So one or the other is not better or worse, they are just different.

Worst suspension in car ownership
I find the suspension on my Superb a bit too noisy, but I can totally live with it, considering the price I paid for the car. I have also experienced something similar to bumpsteer on many occasions, which is even worse, but I guess I can live with that too. I have no plans of modifying the suspension so far. I am not an automotive engineer, but from what I've read replacing springs or shocks will not solve the problem of bumpsteer. Just for information it's a DCC-equipped non-sportline Superb with 18-inch wheels.

I would be surprised if it shows BTG time below 9 minutes. Just to stay in the topic, here goes another angle.

I don't track this car on a regular basis and I don't recommend timing your laps in a Superb. Nürburgring is great for fun laps with friends and family, but you don't need to really send it. Just be responsible and enjoy the road, stare at faster cars while they're flying past you. Stay on the right side when you see serious ring tools in your rear view mirror. Turn on your right blinker to indicate that you're ready to be overtaken. Of course you can take a racing line when there's no traffic in sight, but stay reasonable, don't hit the curbs. And be aware of the iconic blind corners and other little things Nordschleife is famous for. Every time you hit the apex on any of two carousels, you get +1 rattle.

Absolutely! Both DCC and TC in Sport. I'm surprised the anti-roll bar ambassadors are still not here.

Missed the live broadcast of Eifel GP yesterday because I was behind the wheel. As well as behind the fence, on the Nordschleife.

Which hand break ?
Nope. Superb mk3 uses electronic handbrake in any spec.

Why no variable load bay?
These are fleet vehicles. Tons of Skodas are used to carry people around and no one cares for such things as variable floors, memory seats, heated steering wheels, traffic sign recognition when ordering them. They only care about price and fuel economy and warranty terms and that's why they look at Skodas at the first place. And even private customers ordering new cars sometimes forget about options because it's not a once in a lifetime investment, it's just a Skoda, you buy it and you trade it in one and a half years later for a Seat or a Passat. I personally forgot a 230V socket, and I'm not upset, I'll use it in my next car in 2022.

More changes to the sleeper..intake & rear
I believe most Skoda Superb owners couldn't care less about the freaking valve in the exhaust. Fleet vehicles can have fake exhaust tips or no visible pipes whatsoever. 280/272 on a stage 1 map is a bit of a sleeper, but in this case no tailpipe would make more sense. I am not building a sleeper, but if I was, I would probably replace bumper and hide the tips completely under it.

Upper Boot Floor Retrofit?
No, the optional variable boot floor is not just one piece of plywood that sits on top, it is actually a whole bunch of trim pieces on the sides too.

Keyless - Can it be disabled ?
I think it also works on door handles, at least in reverse order. When I notice that I've left the sunroof and/or windows open I just touch and hold the "lock" on the handle to close everything.

Keyless - Can it be disabled ?
Press "unlock" on your key and quickly touch "lock" on the door handle, it will disable keyless entry.

New Superb L&K interior questions
Door cards have "leather" inserts in Style (SEL?) trim too. Vegan leather clearly. As for thigh support, there is no such thing at all. Sportline seats look like they have a longer cushion in this area, but when I sat down I did not feel it at all.

Moose Test Suberb iV
Clubsport (not S though) does it at 76 km/h, TT RS barely at 79. Still not as good as GT86 with Prius tyres or MX-5 RF (both 80km/h), and you can buy them both and also replace those stupid tyres for the price of TT RS.

Moose Test Suberb iV
What about TT RS? Am I right that optional DCC-equipped suspension on Sportline still includes lower and stiffer springs? Because my basic DCC in Sport does not make the car corner like anything special.
