Replaced mine with duracell batteries about a month ago and its saying to renew it again already. Was a solution ever found for this?

Has anyone taken the plastic strips off the doors on their fabia? Is it smooth underneath? Or will it need smoothing and spraying?

I'm under the impression that the 2.0L petrol unit they're using is the same as whats in the current Golf R, which produces 300bhp as standard and much more with a map. Just surprised that they're happy to put an RS badge on it

Thoughts on the new Octavia vRS being similar in numbers to an 8 year old Fabia vRS. Had expected a lot more poke than what they're offering

That sounds like it would have been fun. Just wanna see what the car is like with 200bhp+ Though, I do want to find a dyno for me to see where its at now. None of the local garages have one though/or are willing to just dyno with no extra services

They're not a million miles from me. How much am I looking at for a remap?

I told myself I wasn't going to remap or try to push too much out of the engine as mine seems to be a good one. No misfiring or oil burning as of yet. But, like everyone I'm sure, starting to crave more, especially after narrowly edging a mk1 VRS the other day (hooning, I know, couldn't be helped). The tuning box that I was looking at was a TDI one. I am reluctant on remap as I had a bad experience with one on a Seat Leon 1.9TDI I used to have. Completely ****ed the engine up, and that was a 'reputable' garage.

The silver ones arrived but did not fit. It seems to ba quite tricky to guess fitment from a picture on the web due to the curvature of the button being convex. I ordered some 'cheap looking' plastic ones which stated that they fit the Fabia. They arrived the other day and using alcohol and a heatgun I stuck them on with the double sided tape. Results are as good as I can expect, they are narrow and have not affected my ability to use the stalks, plastic - so a smidge lighter than the aluminium ones I originally ordered and a little more subtle than bright silver. The play in the button is amplified by extending the size of it and creating a lever effect. I don't think they will ever be a solid motion without wobble as there is a lot of play in the normal paddle. So I'm not going to bother with trying a different part. I like the aesthetic and I rarely use the paddles anyway (and you don't need to be rough with them)

Will try the rear seats down and see how that goes. I am really confident its not suspension because i can't replicate the noise when pushing down om the back or shaking the car. Which, the handbrake is always on, so it could be that I suppose. Will report back when I've tried those things

Hi everyone. Have been troubleshooting this noise for a few days as I thought it could be a number of different things. Only hear it at very low speeds when I am turning generally. I know its not the parcel shelf (what i thought it was originally) and I'm confident its not suspension related. Wondered if it might be some plastic trim rubbing or something, as that what it seema to sound like to me. Any ideas?

Need it on the road. So took it to a Halfords as they were the only place near me with space on a Saturday. Sachs springs, and wounded me to the tune of £385

Nevermind. Spring has snapped at the front instead, so will be getting that sorted first 😪

Might change to 215s then. Would be a better launch, no?

Which badges did you buy? The Mk3 Fabia ones?
