My Portuguese is a little rusty and so is Google's it seems but I think the gist was the recommendation to use the front usb-c port instead of the disappeared SD card slot. I'm afraid this is not possible with the new MIB 3 infotainment system. The functionality to load POIs has been removed. According to another thread (Kodiaq forum?) that is the case at least in Western Europe. Bummer. Having said that I was completely startled to hear a loud warning about a nearby speed camera recently. Turns out that the online service I subscribed to via Skoda Connect contains an app called Traffication which warns about noteworthy road conditions, like accidents, road blocks, weather as well as speed cameras. Problem is it seems to do it very unreliably. I haven't quite worked out what governs it.

In my 2019 Superb I'm loading the POI database via an SD memory card slot in the passenger glovebox. Am I right in thinking that these disappeared with the 2020 refresh? How does one load the files in the newer model?

I had the original 18" Propus Aero alloys replaced with 19" Cepeus. I used to have 19" Trinity (i think) wheels on my previous Superb and always thought that looked better and the intention of switching them on my current model was there tight from the beginning. But spending gbp2k on a new set of alloys plus tyres for aesthetic reasons is a bit of a luxury so it didn't happen until now, three years after buying the car. I'm pleased with it.

Are you talking about Bluetooth connection or Skoda Connect? I wasn't aware that phone and media functionality of the former relies on Google services.

Yes, I used sd card 2 slot. Go into Navigation - Settings - Map - POI - Show POIs and then there are suboptions where you can select which ones you want to see, fixed, mobile, traffic light. Also tick next sub option. Something to do with brand icons, can't remember exactly.

Yep, see photo. It shows speed cameras at traffic lights with a traffic light icon rather than a camera icon.

Interesting, I'm still unclear which cars have the phonebox and which don't. I have a 69reg L&K and had a 17reg L&K before that, both bought as used, which don't have it. And yet, if you go through "Configure my car" on Skoda's uk website it's not available as an add-on option to choose.

Did it come as standard with your L&K iV or was it an option you could add? Does it look like the photo by JR RS above?

I'm puzzled about this myself. Spent 15 minutes yesterday pushing my phone into the space - despite it quite obviously not being flat - trying to work out if something was happening. Felt like a right idiot afterwards. Has ANYBODY in the UK got the phonebox? It's mentioned in the user manual, it's depicted in the German brochure but it's not mentioned in the UK brochure at all, neither as standard nor optional feature or as accessory.

I am surprised how many compliments I"m getting on the colour, almost on a daily basis. To be honest, neither with this nor the previous white one did I actually choose the colour. I chose the spec, essentially the top model, with sunroof as a must. In both cases there was exactly one such car around. For my 17 reg 280bhp model I had to drive to Birmingham from SE London to buy it. This one happened to be at my local dealer but nowhere else was another one available. So no choice really. Luckily my wife was never that keen on white and adores this 'petrol blue', which has pacified her a little bit after calling me crazy for spending more money on cars, a year after the previous purchase.

And this is the new one. I didn't plan on getting a new car as I was very happy with my white superb. But I saw a really good offer on this one and reckoned I'd enjoy the latest model even more. How right I was, I love it. L&K TSI 272 4x4, sunroof. 69 reg.

I followed @IanW5177 lead and downloaded from the scdb site for 10 quid per year. Was a doddle to install and works well. Gives discreet audible warning just ahead of speed camera.
