  1. No they only replaced the shock absorber. I’d had the top mount replaced when i first had it as i suspected that it was faulty but it wasn’t. It’s always been the shock absorber on mine. The other side isn’t much better but they wouldn’t change that as it hadn’t full on failed.
  2. All the lubrication used to do was make the noise go away for a little while for me. I forgot to update - mine went in for an MOT and failed on the passenger shock absorber. I always suspected the shock absorber and the noise has now gone since it was changed.
  3. Nah nothing has been replaced just kept lubricating the suspension. I have had so many electrical issues with it that this wasn’t a priority. Iv never been keen on the car tbh. Always wanted a Karoq but have never got on with mine or the many Karoq courtesy cars that I have had. I thought I’d get used to it but it’s just not for me hence now looking for a replacement.
  4. Sounds like mine. It also does it when i apply the brakes as im slowing down over uneven roads. Mine is awful now again and passengers comment on it. The lubricant works for about 2-3 weeks but i got fedup of applying it. Iv had the car two years nearly and iv started looking at other cars. It’s been in so many times to the garage it’s embarrassing. It’s not a car I would buy again.
  5. If it makes you feel any better I noticed similar on our Skoda Rapid when it was just before 3 years old. It’s on the inside of both front doors. Skoda responded the same as you have found. The Rapid is a 2016 and it hasn’t got much worse in the last 5 or so years. Incidentally, I had the same on a 2002 MK6 Fiesta when it was 2.5 years old and Ford agreed to fix it. I wish I hadn’t bothered because they made a good job but it returned again and then they repaired it again. It was an ongoing saga for years until I just gave up. I kept the car 17 years I think before I traded it. Enjoy your car
  6. Hi all. I have an annoying issue with an LTE 2 antenna in the rear bumper of my karoq late 2021. I need to replace the cable but struggling as earlier wiring diagrams seem to suggest that the LTE 2 antenna goes to the Radio system rather than the OCU. Has anyone got access to, or knows where I could get more recent wiring diagrams from please?
  7. Hi all, would anyone kindly help me with an update for this MIB3 in my Skoda Karoq. It misbehaves quite often and I realise it could be down to the out dated firmware as it has never been updated (2021 Karoq). Currently I have version 0302 on it. Many thanks for any help. Kind regards Nath
  8. Thanks for the reply. I got the silicon grease today and installed it as per the instructions. Went on a brief ride out and the noise had gone with two of us in the car. Mine had got really bad and was doing it with just the driver in the car. It started off only doing it when there was a few people in the car. I had a feeling it might be the dampers after reading some posts about people changing them but I hadn’t realised about that bulletin. Fingers crossed it stays quiet as it was going to be sold imminently as a result.
  9. Hi @Rory can you just confirm if this fix has stood the test of time. I bought a Karoq a year ago and it’s done it since I had it and it drives me crazy. Before I sell it as a result I thought I’d try what they did to your dampers if it has continued to work. Cheers Nath
  10. I had mine activated last year on my Skoda Rapid. Took it to Skoda in the end and paid I think £150. I gave the car to the wife shortly after and she says it was worth the money and works well.
  11. Finally managed to get this done yesterday. I could not release the grill from the bumper now matter how hard I tried so I removed the bumper which wasn't too difficult. Even with the bumper off I found it quite hard to separate the grill from the bumper. Luckily I had two grills so I had installed the black cover to a Rapid grille a few days before. While the car is in bits I thought I would upgrade the washer bottle to the 5.4 L version.
  12. Just had my black grill delivered Do you need to remove the bumper to detach the grill? Once you get out the four screws on top how does it detach from the bumper. Cheers Nath
  13. I also own a 2016 Spaceback 1.2tsi 110 with 20k on the clock. Cambelt interval on these according to the dealer is 5 years or so many miles (can’t remember). Interestingly in Sweden where a friend lives there is no such interval and just an inspection. I had mine changed at the last service in October. Iv not had any issues with the running of mine so i’d pop it back for them to check.
  14. This is a link to someone who has done what you want so should get you started. You will need a translator on your pc or phone. https://www.drive2.ru/l/551981226496361415/
  15. Iv upgraded my wheel but I already had the steering controls. I just changed to a flat bottom. I have read on the Russian forums previously that it can be done but does obviously need some extra wiring.
  16. Thanks for the link. I contacted them and just had an email back saying they couldn’t help unfortunately. I am wondering now if the same part used on the ibiza or fabia would work as they too have 3 rear sensors and 4 front. I suppose it is worth a try.
  17. Hi I am in Wolverhampton West Midlands. I should imagine the data set will be hard to come by due to not many UK Rapids having the front sensors specced. It seems they were more common abroad but getting someone to ship one because of brexit is becoming a nightmare. I found a module off a Rapid abroad but they flat refuse to ship to the UK now.
  18. Hi I did not get a fix as in the end I managed to use the pipe that came with the reverse camera. I did find that there are repair kits available for the problem you mention. I am sure they were on ebay and there were also join kits available from the Skoda dealer. You can buy the pipe but I found it quite expensive and they wanted me to buy it in long lengths.
  19. Hi all, I am trying to add front sensors to my Rapid 2016. I am at a stumbling block with the Parking Module. I need 5Q0919294K but can only get a second hand one from a different Skoda to my Rapid. The problem I have is that the parameter file installed in these is for cars with 4 reverse sensors and 4 front but my car only has 3 rear sensors. Is anyone able to update the model if I buy one or can point me in the direction of who would change the software for the Rapid? Hope that makes sense - I only have access to ODB11 unfortunately. Thanks for any advice Nath
  20. Looks great. I want to install the front parking to my 2016 Rapid Spaceback. I have some of the parts but really struggling with the module. I need 5Q0919294K but can only find them second hand from other Skoda cars with 4 rear sensors and I need 3 as the Rapid is similar to the Fabia. It seems like quite a rare option to find on a Rapid. I have only found one module in the Netherlands from a Rapid and they are not interested in shipping to me because of brexit. Anyone know if it’s possible to change an existing one to a 7k rather than an 8k? Im struggling to even find a 7k Fabia MK3 one which i also assume would work.
  21. Can anyone help with this? I want to add some pins to the BCU connectors. I have disconnected the cables from the BCU but I cannot work out how to open the connectors to add the pins. I have included an image of the connectors.
  22. Have had my 2016 (66) Spaceback 2 years now. I'll put some pictures up when I get chance but this is what I have done and what I am about to do. My favourite retrofit so far was adding the speedlimiter. Really missed that function from other cars I have I used. The coding so far has been done using my ODBEleven. Converted the Cruise to include the elusive speed limiter Monte Carlo D Shape steering wheel Original USB ports in rear of armrest off the later model. OEM reverse camera with washer Permanently wired Dash Cam Soft close grab handles OEM Bonnet insulation Retractable bumper cover Bag Hooks on both sides of the boot Plastic storage compartments on both side of the boot Washer bottle top to rubber with built in funnel Added the springs in the back brakes to stop them sticking in winter OEM false boot shelf OEM Heater vent cover to protect the fan. Spare wheel kit Mud flaps Rubber matts and rear tunnel cover Boot mat First aid kit in strap above wheel arch Warning Triangle in the space below boot lip. Needle sweep Under parcel shelf net. I have the OEM parts ready to retrofit the following: Ambient lighting under dash, storage compartment and rear seats Light assist Washer bottle level sensor I am still gathering parts to retrofit and investigating the adding of: Heated seats Folding mirrors FLA / High Beam assistant
  23. Thanks for that. Our Renault has the little switch in the gas pedal and you can feel it when you get to the end of the travel. What is confusing me is there does not appear to be a part number for a different pedal in a manual rapid. The part no for the Netherlands Rapids which have the speed limiter fitted appear to have the same part number albeit for left hand drive. I’ll keep looking.
  24. Hi all, does anyone have a Fabia III with both the cruise control and speed limiter option fitted (so has the mode button on the stalk)? I am looking at retrofitting to a Rapid Spaceback that has just cruise only. I just want to know if your gas pedal has a switch at the end of it's travel. So when you put your foot down and when it is fully down - if you put more pressure does it move a bit further to signal to the car that you want to over ride the speed limit you have set. Much appreciated for any help. Nath
  25. I haven’t changed the yellow lights yet but would like to. I was considering swapping the actual light units for the later ones with the LED side lights. But need to confirm they will fit and work yet.
