I don't think that fits tbh, I don't think it is a screw in. My next piece of investigation was to figure out how to incorporate the cars own DAB aerial. The windscreen mounted aerial is good in towns, but quite bad outside of that.

I got one of the windscreen ones fitted yesterday, and it isn't too bad tbh, takes maybe a minute or so for the signal to calibrate where it sounds glitchy but then seems OK. Might have a look to see where the dab antenna is for the mk3

One more question, do you know if you can fit a DAB antenna to these units, or will it need to be plugged through USB

That was my first thought but had a feel about and had a push and a pull of the bulb fitment and all seemed OK. Going to go out and have a proper look at it shortly.

A few weeks back, I posted about dipped beam replacement bulbs. I bought them installed them, then the other night, drove for the first time in the dark and it looks like they are pointing to about 5 meters in front of the car. They offer very limited distance, although the bit of the road they are pointed at is now well lit up. I was looking at manual adjustment of them, however all the diagrams etc that I'm seeing are for Mk1 and Mk2. Is anyone able to provide a diagram as to where the adjustment screws are. I have halogen lamps and I'm 100% certain that they are not self levelling. (if they are, its broken) Cheers

I have just bought the Carista box but seeing as I'm a cheap skate, is there any apps that are cheaper which will allow you to make amendments to things like the lights and needle sweep etc

I get where you are coming from, and in an ideal world I'd be expecting the unit to be exchanged with myself paying the difference. I just cannot be arsed sending it back to China lol. Too much hassle. If I can badger them enough that they change the way they are selling this unit so no other people get duped then it will be a win for me. It's more about the principle of it. I've bought a Carista box so any changes to the car settings can be done using that. Angling at getting a DAB receiver from them as compo lol. I just want to make sure that no one else is getting stung. Myself and RobertVRS appear to have been, but if I can change it so that no one else does then it's a win.

Reply from AliExpress 'i consult with engieer friend it is radio chip program difference our 4+64 8 core radio that can show those car information when you choose canbus because this 2+32gb 4 core there is no those car set information ,design on the screen that is why can not show it is not canbus issue because our 8 core and 4 core radio canbus are same' I've had a little rant at them 🤣 but I'm outside of the 15 day dispute on their site.

Mine was the lower spec one, the 2gb Ram 32gb memory. This mob on Ali Express have gone aweful quiet now.

Ive noticed that on the 'Raise' Canbus setting, it gives you the lines and the curve. As mentioned before, the RZC one isn't there. Ebilaen are saying to use Raise but I only get the following options. (Excuse the fingers)

So, jumped into the car this morning to sort this, and I don't have RCZ option, only Raise which is the one that is on however paying more attention to it, it is for a Tiguan Hybrid. Going to drop them a message on Ali Express see what they say.

Yeah, I think possibly I've selected the wrong canbus setting. They told me to use RZC or raise option??? I've lost my locking beeps and don't know how to get it back up lol. Was it the Agama launcher you were using. I've got that just now and seems OK tbh.

Received my extended iso harness today, stereo fitted and working well. Only thing is, I don't have the menus set like @FUBAR does which is quite annoying. Is that a custom launcher that is set up. Other thing is, car looks set up as LHD as when my passenger door is open, the info screen shows it as the driver door? Any ideas. When I was looking at the Bluetooth section, another person's Bluetooth details were in it, could have possible been for testing, but. Thinking a full factory reset might be on the cards.

Hey all, my right hand dipped bulb blew the other day, and I had been stalling on purchasing a replacement however, went out to the car and got a warning that both right and left were out. What are the best halogen bulbs out there. I think it is H7 that I'm looking for. Wanting a more white bulb with extra brightness. Cheers

Hopefully it's fine, the lowere part of the glove box was off, that was the surround where the cd player sits, didn't want to go disconnecting the airbag buttong and stuff. I can't seem to see any other way of feeding the loom through, it's tight to the right hand column, no more to play with. Had thought about going back to seller, but in all honesty, I need it working for Friday as I'm taking the car to Wales. Wife has a VW Golf but my golf clubs won't fit in properly haha. I can't see how that xtron loom extension won't work tbh. Need to at least give it a go.

So, tried to install mine this morning, I don't have enough give in the power cable to switch this bloody thing on. All my power was going into the cd unit in the glove box, need about an inch more to get the stereo to slide into place and actually work

Don't say that, mine came yesterday, going to fit it in Wednesday when I'm not working and kids aren't around.
