TMC traffic events no longer being received...firmware update required?
Thank you for your various responses explaining how our problem differs; whether or not that is a good thing I shall find out in a fortnight!

TMC traffic events no longer being received...firmware update required?
I must admit to not having read in full the preceding 14 pages on this subject, but the online traffic updates in our 1969 Scala stopped working 3 days ago. Our subscription with Skoda Connect for this is up to date, so I phoned our local dealer, Yeomans of Exeter. The person in Service who answered the phone was not aware of any problems, but another person cut in and said that they had one like this last week, and it needs a software update! So booked in for 4 hours in a fortnight's time, and I sincerely hope I do not have to pay, especially as I have taken out an extended warranty......

Skoda Rapid 2017 integrated Satnav not receiving TMC traffic messages.
I have just come across this topic as the online current traffic situation (inc. the green line down the side, etc.) has suddenly stopped working in our 1969 Scala. I checked that our licence from Skoda Connect was still current (yes, 6 months still to go), and phoned our local Skoda dealer, Yeomans of Exeter. The person in Service who answered the phone did not know of any problems, but another of their team said that they had a similar case last week. They said it was a software problem, and I have to take it in to them for 4 hours in a fortninght's time. I sincerely hope that I will not get charged for anything, particularly as we have purchased an extended warranty.....

Kamiq Ambition + Admunsen Road Sign Recognition ?
I have just read this thread and am very interested, as I had asked my dealer about this (evidenced by photo in manual, etc. ) about 4 months ago, and told it was not possible. Has anybody in the UK managed to get this done by their dealer yet?

Traffic Sign Recognition
Hi Philegl, I am also after the answer to this. The online manual, page 50, Driver Information System has five different options for setup of the virtual cockpit, and in the illustration for E ("Sporty") can just be seen traffic sign icons at 11 o'clock and 2 o'clock of the central main display. I happen to favour this option, and would dearly like to have the TSR there, too. PLEASE can somebody advise how to get it - thanks!

Lane Keep Assist - how do you use yours?
Thanks, yes, it is off. On the first occasion we did happen to be going slowly over speed bumps after setting off, but it continued to refuse to stay unlocked even out on the open road. The second time we set off normally, and were driving along at 30/40 when it locked, and despite us hitting the unlock button, it wanted to stay that way several times after short intervals.

Lane Keep Assist - how do you use yours?
Hello again, we have noticed a couple more rather worrying tendencies. Twice the radio has come on when I started the car in the garage in the morning (I never use the radio normally) and twice the doors have suddenly locked themselves when driving along - and refused to stay unlocked for more than 10/15 seconds before locking themselves again each time we unlocked them. These peculiarities happened on four different journies, over the course of ten days or so, and everything is perfectly normal next time I start up. Any ideas, please?

Software Updates
We have had our ex-demo Scala SE L for three very enjoyable weeks, but there seems to be a software problem, the same as Yetiherts. It says a software update is available, you download it and it says it is now up to date - but next time you switch on the dreaded "software update is available" appears again. you download it, it says it is complete and up to date..............and so on. Any ideas, please? I am still learning what is what on it, so don't really want to do a reset and lose everything I have gradually input, often by trial and error!

Lane Keep Assist - how do you use yours?
Thanks to those who have responded. Unfortunately none of the ideas seem to work on our car, so it looks like we are stuck with it permanently on unless I fiddle with it every time I start the car. Interesting that doing a bit of fishing on Google with the words "Skoda Scala Lane Assist problem" came up with a road test which included the following observation: "Also irritating was the lane-assist steering system. For reasons unknown it would bleep, rumble and flash as if we were driving "hands-off". This happened unprompted on multiple occasions." I also found another road test that came up with the fact it was the first car they had tested where it was impossible to make it default to off as the standard setting. So that makes me feel slightly better, its not just me!

Lane Keep Assist - how do you use yours?
We have had a lovely Scala for a fortnight, and Iam finding the Lane Assist a complete pain, to put it politely. It's loud "ping" keeps going off regularly, making me jump and telling me to put my hands on the wheel, and I curse back at that my both hands are firmly on the wheel and I was driving the correct course down my side of the road. This morning it even did it constantly for ten or so "pings" as I drove (straight) down my side of a straight, quite wide, open B road with dashed central markings, with both hands firmly on wheel as always. Does anybody think there is a problem with our car, or does it simply not like me? 90% of our driving is on B or unclassified local roads here in Devon, and there ought to be some way to just switch it on occasionally when needed, rather than it defaulting to On every single journey.
