Hi I've installed an aftermarket head unit in my skoda yeti 66 plate. I no longer need the oem touch screen radio. Can I sell this unit? Do I need a radio code? Also how can identify which one I have? I paid my local skoda dealer £130 to have this activated. Can this be sold aswell? Need some help :(

Hello people I've changed head unit for an alpine one. I was thinking about selling my oem head unit removed from my 66 plate yeti. I'm not sure what it's called it is touch screen. I paid my skoda dealer £130 to have smart link enabled for android auto. Before I go to sell it what's is it worth and does it need unlocking? I've seen them go for £350+ Help needed

Hi guys, amazing forum. Ive installed an aftermarket Head unit on my 2016 skoda yeti Everything works fine all connected buy connects 2 wiring looms. My only issue is the parking sensor beeping doesn't work anymore? It beeps once when you select reverse on the dsg but then nothing as you get closers to objects. They were fully working before I installed the head unit. Any help appreciated

I'd personally stay away from the 1.4 turbo and go with a hybrid of the 1.2. Everyone has a preference.

I'm in Kent but have lots of mates in Leeds. I'm not one for bashing it's everyone's personal preference but not a chance I'd use them after seeing the workmanship. Mediocre of you want a cheap cat back i guess.

Thats if you can find a downpipe? Also nightmare for mots and vosa having no cat. Ive heard of people that do a downpipe and it starts to smell in the cabin even when replaced the gasket

Personally I wouldn't use the 1.4 turbo on a 1.2 just causes so many issues. Has anyone managed to run a downpipe/sports cat on an 1.2 tsi? Looking online they just don't exist

Thanks for the reply and information. It's great what these little engines can produce! I have the rtmg carbon cold intake, now that is pure artwork much better than the mst one.

Reading the entire thread on here. I have just a few questions. DKU / rtmg say that 200/220 is achieved with them on there hybrid turbo upgrade with supportimh mods like intake,exhaust, downpipe etc. Jbs have just about developed this 1.2/1.4 hybrid turbo which sounds good for longevity. Who would you go to or use?

I've managed to get mine fully working and coded using vcds. Worth the money and hassle

Thanks for the reply. I've been in touch with SJB and spoke to Jim also few other places. Basically the wheel I have purchased has the buttons 5E0919719B So I think I will need to purchase different buttons? Then find someone who can enable the dsg paddles So annoyed at this lol

The wheel I have is from a 2013-2016 octavia. Ive seen it done before, I'm happy to use my original buttons if needed.

Hey sorry to bring This post up from a few years ago. I'm currently trying to do the dsg paddle shift upgrade. Ive got a steering wheel from a 2016 octavia non vrs I want to fit it to a 2016 yeti dsg 1.2 Ive fitted the wheel and air bag, with a the paddles don't work and the Multifunctional buttons don't either. I know I need to get the car coded for the paddle shift but why would the buttons not work? Once coded will the buttons work?
