  1. Can you give some more details about this please? Where I live, the cars are programmed to be only reset via a scanner (and not all of them) and can't be done at all via the dash cluster reset button. I'd like to try to be able to reprogram that function change.
  2. Do you have info about how difficult those swaps were? Sounds a bit strange, but I actually want to switch the other way. Call me old fashioned 😛
  3. Bringing up an old topic: if the coding for these auxiliary lights are changed to high/main beam, does the globe need to stay in the holder? Because I'm thinking of an adaptor that fits in place of the globe to trigger the relay.
  4. Digging up an old thread as I'm considering replacing the electric struts in my Scout with standard ones. So, assuming replacing the struts themselves, does the latch also need replacing? And then, how difficult to code out the option? Athough I'm curious if the car throws any warning lights if you don't. TIA.
  5. A thread revival. my panel got damaged by the previous owner who’d had an aftermarket switch installed and I want to replace it
  6. Trust me, not likely he tinkered with it. Wish I could find someone with VCDS near me so I could get the headlights aimed properly. If I wanted to look at the ground, I'd get out and walk :p Not much dirt road in the middle of Sydney, Australia... But I would like to get the settings changed so they only came on if I hold the windscreen washers for at least 3 or 4 seconds. But I'll leave the electronic stuff for now, my previous newest car was a 99 Corolla, it's a bit out of my depth for now.
  7. My latest problem is a headlight washer not squirting, but to be honest, probably anything and everything. Already done an LED DRL controller replacement in my short ownership. This forum has been an awesome resource. I bought my car just going out of warranty and am used to working on my own cars. However everything I've owned and modified before has been Japanese or Korean. So I'd like to learn as much as possible so I can figure out how much different a Euro car is. Looking at the Erwin site looks like maybe can register for free, but I know the use isn't. Was curious if it's pay by the module, or from other responses a timed thing. Sorry, I'm a but fussy about trying to plan for unknowns in advance (comes with the territory of what I do for a job, and is part of why I'm good at it)
  8. Cheers. Seems that the Scout lower bodywork gets in the way. As other's have said, Skoda should've just moulded something into that bodywork as standard.... Wonder how some rally car style flaps would look...
  9. Cheers Rough idea of that cost? Do you need to download each individually (rough idea of the number of docs I can expect), or can you do a bulk download (I'm kinda guessing prob not).
  10. I'm new to Skodas. Can someone give an idea of how the Erwin site works please. Thanks
  11. Have you got any pics of this? Thinking about fitting flaps to my 15 Scout. Why did you do a mix of Pre & post FL parts?
  12. I'm curious if the bumper skin removal is absolutely necessary for this job? My right side jet is clogged so I need to get it off (pre FL) and there's nothing inside the guard on that side. so, would it be possible to unclip the jet from behind with the wheel liner out of the way?
  13. LOL. I can understand that. Dunno why things suddenly went so pear shaped down there compared to here... Can you give me a recommendation of a decent system to buy? I'm intending to do a lot of work on the car myself and would like to be able to do jobs like I've mentioned and be able to track things like water pump and other known issues myself. Recently had to contend with one of the DRL controllers shorting out because it got wet somehow in a rainstorm... My local dealer did give me a free scan because the car is just out of warranty, but any more effort than that I was up for some $.
  14. cheers. I've adjusted headlights before. Takes some time & patience and sometimes a few different tries to get correct. Not sure what equipment the dealers have here as headlight aiming is not a requirement of the annual check where I am (used to be and should be...) TrinityJay, where abouts are you? I'm in Sydney.
  15. Just noted from another thread that the 2015 models did not have this functionality. Some started on getting it enabled, but it seems that was never finished...
  16. Same as Vet76, I've recently bought a 2nd hand 2015 135TDi Scout and am curious about whether this progressed any further. Similarly, I'm interested about the menu showing the leaning & tilt angles.
  17. This thread seems to have died down. I guess most got this sorted during warranty. But has anyone managed to get some goodwill warranty done later? I've recently bought a 15 Scout which has this problem, but the previous owner parked it undercover so I doubt he ever noticed. Not surprised as he thought that the fogging of the left headlight was normal and had never noticed that someone had started to cut out the hole for the indicator and never sealed it back up again...
  18. Where's the offroad button supposed to be? I want to check whether my Scout has it or not, because I haven't noticed anything that looks like it.
  19. I've recently bought a 2015 Scout. What's this "offroad" mode that is being mentioned?
  20. Can anyone give advice about what's needed to more in depth things? eg, I want to adjust the aiming of my headlights, but being the "active" type, you need to put the car into a learning mode first. From what I've seen, OBD11 can't do that.
  21. Hi, I need to replace the controller that's fitted under the headlight. Does any coding need to be done for this component to be recognised by the BCM?
  22. Sorry to dig up an old thread, but did your problem go away by letting it dry out?
  23. Sorry to dig up an old thread, but as these things get older and change hands, a new bunch of people have to deal with these out of warranty issues... Anyway, is this unit just for the DRL? I've had my RHS one go out over the weekend after parking it facing downhill in heavy rain (don't these things get weather tested...?). If it is to be replaced, is any coding needed? TIA
  24. Cheers. New to Euro cars. That place might be a bit far as I'm in Sydney, Australia Worked out that it's a Skoda part number and picked up a pair today. Mind you, I should find somewhere that can ship. One of the covers over the ISOfix in the back seat is missing and Skoda Australia don't sell that part...
  25. Where does this repair patch come from? One of my lights has a crack along the edge (looks like someone may have started doing this job) and I need to reseal the light. Thanks
