  1. Yes, insurance covered. Thanks for your concern, all valid points.
  2. Yes, owned outright. Thanks for the suggestion on a specialist dealer, hadn't occurred to me and is certainly worth a go.
  3. Hi All, Long time no post from me. I'm after some advice. My Dad has recently passed away and the family is left with a '19 plate Range Rover Velar. It's at the higher end of the spec list and I know it cost a fair sum when it was bought. Can anyone suggest the alternative ways to dispose of this to get the best value for it? I know that simply trading it in to a dealer will be the easiest and I can't imagine there will be too many buyers with that sort of cash available who won't be buying via a dealer. I've seen selling comparison sites such as Wizzle but I have absolutely no experience of them. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks.
  4. Nice idea but completely impractical when it comes to roadside enforcement however.
  5. I'll be more than happy if I get anything like this mileage. Last set of conti's did 15k on the front max. Probably less.
  6. Left that piece of road to the farmers with tractors and snowploughs!!!
  7. Mine go on this week. Since we were snowed in at the beginning of the year it'll be interesting to see how far I can get if it snows again.
  8. The conti's I can't get in my size (235 45 18). Looking into the Bridgestone.
  9. All 4 of my tyres are due for renewal and I intend to get a set of these in. Before I had over the cash are there any other manufacturers with a similar offering?
  10. When is comes to price, a lot will depend on what trim level it comes in. VW only offer the BiTdi on the top end trim (GT and R on the passat) so you get a hefty price tag. Will Skoda follow suit and whatever engine it is on the L&K and edition trim only? Or a vRS badge? IIRC a vRS Octavia will be be a cheaper proposition than a L&K with a decent engine.
  11. 7 speed DSG I assume as well? Currently offered in the Tiguan and Passat.
  12. You won't get it delivered if you haven't paid and if they're not fitting it then they won't be snagging. Your best bet is to use a Credit Card and get yourself protection under the consumer credit act.
  13. I've seen several Wickes kitchens from Friends/Family. They look good to me and have stood up to family abuse well. If I was getting a kitchen tomorrow I'd probably start and finish there unless I was feeling really flush. I've bought 2x Wren Kitchens in the past, each time going in with the biggest discount/best price I can find at a competitor and then getting them to match it. Always bought worktops, sinks, taps etc separately. The one I had put in by a 3rd party I was much happier with than the one fitted by wren themselves. Other things about Wren, as the cabinets come assembled you will need space to store them. Lots of space. But you won't have to pay your trade to assemble the flat pack. Service is good in store but if there is anything missing on the order expect 5-10 days for the missing item and the call center staff are woeful.
  14. Because I didn't know there was one! I had looked but didn't have the right name.
  15. I'm not looking at packing anything heavy like tool boxes. If I was they'd certainly be low down and against the rear seats. The thought of them coming forward through the car at pace is pretty grim. Obviously big and pointy items like the pram chassis will be on the bottom so the top of the boot will likely be soft duffel bags with clothes, nappies (just 100 or so) and bulky clothing like jackets. But I'd still rather have nothing possible to come forward so I'll see what I can find.........
