Second hand Karoq advice
Avoid the 19” wheels unless you enjoy your teeth chattering.

She’s here and I love it.

New car time!
Thanks for your comment. I wasn’t speculating on tyres. This was based on my experience. My superb suffered from many a ruined tyre (they are 40 profiles). I drive like Miss Daisy but sadly a low profile tyre is not suitable for the roads in my area. The alloys have stood up well, but not the rubber. I’ve had bursts, bulges and the like on my superb. One was replaced free of charge as it had only been on a week! So I wasn’t ‘dissing’ the Karoq and its 19” wheels as such, more the fact that I was looking forward to having a bigger profile tyre on the new car and hopefully reducing my tyre bills.

New car time!
Exciting news, finally took the plunge after a few years of Superb ownership to get my Karoq next week. The superb has been an absolute treasure and has clocked up 140,000 almost trouble free miles. As well as looking forward to a more modern design, with lots of toys, I'm really looking forward to moving back to petrol. 1.5 DSG (obvs - can't go back to manual) Ive spent the last few hours reading round the Karoq pages (and obviously scaring myself about the problems before reminding myself about general car forum content.) Mostly reading about the timing belt conundrum, but its all good. I will miss the superb though, she has been an absolute legend of a car. I test drove the Edition model, and whilst I loved the sunroof, I couldn't cope with the road noise, and more importantly the 19" rims with 40 profile tyres. I told the guy at the dealership, I am 50 years old not 17!, I want a soft ride, and tyres that won't shred/warp/burst/blister every time I go out on Britain's roads. I said I would buy it if he would supply a lifetime of free tyres. I have instead opted for the SE-L.

DGS 7 speed auto box.
AFAIK, it’s only an oil change every 40k Edit: Sorry, that's for 6 speed only.

Blower issue, I think?
Yes, it just stopped blowing. All lights lit as normal. I took the glove box off as mine was a little tricky to get out. It is possible to swap without taking it off I believe. good luck.

Blower issue, I think?
New motor cost me about £110 and took 30 minutes to fit (15 if you’re not a tit like me). top tip. Don’t unplug the airbag when/if you take the glovebox off!

Steering controls not operating bt-audio
Is this with the engine on? Mine works fine, but only when the engine is running.

Window Regulator replacement
Hi, I had this happen to me earlier this year. Fixed with genuine parts and cost less than £300. (Manchester) Nothing to fear.

Air conditioning fault code B10ABF0.
Sounds like you need a new compressor. Not a massive job. Prob £300/500

Engine speed appears to be limited.
no worries, I think it came about from the MOT testers thrashing the nuts off old diesels during the emissions testing a few years back. like I said, quite normal to have 2500 rpm when not under load. You may wanna consider an oil change if its been stood that long. just an idea, don't know how rich you are.

Engine speed appears to be limited.
hi, hope you're better. the 2500 rpm is perfectly normal. its to protect the engine from overspeeding when it is not under load. When you go for a drive, it should be normal.

heater blower ?
I changed the whole thing for about £110. Some people have had luck hitting it with a hammer and some WD40. 20 minute job st most.

heater blower ?
Hi Kev, it’s a common fault and has been well documented here. It’s an easy fix.

Fan not working
It’s under the glovebox. Well documented, it’s an easy fix/swap. About £100 and less than an hour to do. No time to explain more at present, but again, not major.
