  1. We have a 14 week wait and ordered end of August for delivery in December hopefully
  2. If you go to the skoda site and build your own Kodiaq, from the SEL trim and above there is wireless charging as standard. Can't see it as an option an any lower spec models.
  3. Not sure if that was for me but I did carwow and went to the dealer from carwow that offered the options I wanted at a good discount. Then the dealer went through the options, we changed a few and then the dealer came back with a new offer which we took.
  4. Did you go for it. When I went in to the dealer after doing carwow, the dealer went through and sorted out what options I really wanted and what was included in different packs. Waiting until December for delivery now.
  5. Hope so. Will find have to wait till December to find out
  6. That may be true but when selecting your new car on the Skoda web site there is not a driver assist package. If you select travel assist you cannot select either of the lane assist options that say blind spot as it says you have to remove travel assist.. Anyway I have ordered my car now with travel assist which I would rather have as I could only select one or the other as far as I could tell and travel assist had more included for the money. Bill
  7. When you build your car and select travel assist it will not let you pick any of the options with blind spot. Maybe there is a way to get them together but I could not find it.
  8. Too late for me to add them now. That’s what happens when you listen to a dealer 😂
  9. That is what I was told when ordering my car. They might have been wrong or misinformed I guess, but it would have been another extra I would have added so I don’t know why they would have put me off getting them.
  10. When I ordered my Kodiaq I asked about getting the door protectors fitted as they look like a great idea, and was told they are not an option any more as they have an issue with then falling off so have stopped fitting them for the time being.
  11. I have ordered the rear camera and virtual cockpit as some of the extras on the new car. Just have to wait until December for it now.
  12. My car has an electric handbrake. I just made sure it was off when I did my rear brakes. Granted it was on a Citroen not a Skoda but I am sure they are of a similar idea.
  13. Look on euro car parts for price of discs and pads. Probably not to hard a job to do yourself provided you have an understanding about what to do. I have changed them on my car (not a Skoda) and took a couple of hours. Just need to remember you have to turn the brake piston as you compress it to get it to retract on the rear brakes with discs. You should be able to buy a tool for helping you do that. I think 19000 miles is a bit quick for them to need replacing, have they said the fronts are ok. Remember they say 80% gone not 20% left so still some life in them yet. It might be worth taking the rear wheels off to have a better look at the discs and pads to judge for yourself how worn they look.
  14. All ordered, thanks for the replies. Just have to wait now till December for delivery. Seems a long long way off but will hopefully be worth the wait, provided the world does not come to a stop again 😷🤞. Bill
  15. Would think about it if it was a second hand car I was going for but not a brand new one.
  16. Not acording to the dealer who said they calle Skoda uk to confirm
  17. Thanks for the replies, some of the extras I don’t have a choice in, like tables and heated rear seats, rear camera and spare wheel. Looked at higher specs but didn’t really have what I wanted as standard and would cost more with the extras, pity the edition was stopped as prob would have gone for that spec. I use cruise control quite a lot so acc is a must so is a tow bar ( trailer not caravan ). We have manual a/c just now but can split front into 2 so passenger can have hot and driver cold air and we use that a lot reason for tri climate. Virtual cockpit is for me 😁 and leather hopefully is easier to keep clean with kids. We have dropped the Idea of the sunroof so should prob not mentioned that. We are sort of agreed on those but not sure on either lane assist with blind spot or traffic assist with traffic jam and lane assist include but NOT blind spot. You can’t have traffic jam and blind spot together so its is one or the other, edging to traffic assist/jam I would like park assist but have been told I would be the only one to use it, anyone got it or used it, is it worth it. Cheers
  18. Hi, We are about to order a new 1.5 petrol DSG Kodiaq SE L Looking to add a few extras as we plan to keep the car a while and wondered what owners thought about what they wish they either had or not had fitted as extras. Also wondered what owners thought on some of the extras we plan to get if they have them fitted. We are looking at getting towbar, leather, acc, tri climate control, virtual cockpit, heated rear seats, rear tables (both those options for the kids), sunroof, rear camera, spare wheel as optional extras. Was going for the electric front drivers seat but decided it was one gadget too far. Considering dropping the sunroof and going for either active lane assist with blind spot or Traffic assist which includes active lane assist, traffic jam assist, acc and sign recognition. Wondered what people with either of those two thought about them, are they worth the money ( will be getting acc no matter what ). Cheers Bill
