Travel assist steering wheel sensor faulty
Still not got the car back from the dealer and now into week 7 of them trying to sort out the travel assist problem. Have finally had enough and emailed the dealer to inform them we are rejecting the car as they cannot fix it. They had it hooked up to Skoda technical who spent yesterday afternoon remotely accessing the car but even they could not fix it and have referred it to another department in Skoda. Ordered end of August, collected on 24th October, returned to get the fault fixed on 2nd of November ( was only meant to take 3 days ) and still waiting for it to be fixed and returned. Only had the car a week in our possession. Not Happy

Travel assist steering wheel sensor faulty
Finally been told the travel assist problem has been sorted and should be getting our car back next week. They just want to do a final test drive on Monday and then we can pick it up. π€ It has only been with them for 6 weeks next week, only actually had the car in our possession for a week since we picked it up on the 24th of October. Just have to wait and see what compensation they are prepared to offer us.

Skoda's Silent Cost Cutting Exercise
Dout it, once things are gone they stay gone. Anyway new buyers probably won't notice unless they are looking to buy one when the cuts happen.

Skoda's Silent Cost Cutting Exercise
Looks like Skoda are in a race to be at the very low end of the car market.

Travel assist steering wheel sensor faulty
Yes we have had a courtesy car from them. I have emailed them about rejecting the car due to the fault as if they canβt fix the fault in 5 weeks how long do we give them. All we seem to get from them is they are waiting for Skoda technical to advise. We have a 1.5 SEL with a few extras but it is the travel assist that the problem is with.

Travel assist steering wheel sensor faulty
My car is still at the dealer with the Travel Assist problem, it will have been with them for 5 weeks next week. They have changed the camera twice but cannot get it to calibrate and are waiting for Skoda technical for assistance. Might get it back before Christmas but who knows.

Travel assist steering wheel sensor faulty
I would get that checked as mine when it worked was reading the signs correctly in mph. Only thing I have noticed it sometimes if on an say a dual carriageway doing 70 and there is a 40 mph road parallel, it has read the speed sign for that road and slowed me down thinking that is the speed limit, I am hoping that was due to the system not working properly and when I get the car back it will be fine.

Is tow bar prep needed?
Once you start the options soon add up but it will be worth it.

Is tow bar prep needed?
We had the factory tow bar fitted when we ordered our Kodiaq. I like the fact it is out of sight when not in use. Also if you have it in use with something that does not have LED lights, the car alarm will go off if someone unplugs the trailer/caravan plug. We decided it was better to have it from factory than get one fitted later so we knew it was correctly installed and the car was set up for it. If you donβt want to get it fitted from the factory, I would definitely get the tow bar prep, not sure what that involves but better to get it done than find out you canβt get a tow bar fitted later.

Kodiaq AC wont turn off
Are you sure it was not the radiator fan running, they will sometimes run after the car is turned off if the engine is hot.

Travel assist steering wheel sensor faulty
Something with the camera/sensor above the rear view mirror apparently. The car would have an amber triangle on the dash with the travel assist icon in amber on the dash as well. The problem was very intermittent as it seemed to be working for a few days without any fault indications and then on the way to the garage it came on while driving. They have only had the car 3 days now but I do have a courtesy car from them.

Travel assist steering wheel sensor faulty
Funny enough my new car is back in the garage as it was delivered with a Travel Assist problem. It has been with them since Monday and they are having problems getting it fixed apparently. They delayed when I could collect the car because of the problem but they thought they had fixed it, but a few days later when I was collecting the car and they were showing me the controls the problem came back. I took the car knowing it would be going back to them to be fixed and it is with them now. It is intermittent and it just will say Travel Assist unavailable when you start the car but next time you start it is working fine. Just need to wait and see happens and when I get the car back.

Travel assist or adaptive cruise control
But if you select travel assist as an option you can't get blind spot. I did the seperate travel assist option and park assist option not the joint option. There is no option for travel and blind spot only lane assist or adaptive lane assist with blind spot, so I didnt get blind spot as I wanted travel assist. All very confusing when you go through build your own car on the web site as some options make you select other options and some make you remove some. Even the dealer was confused when I tried to add it but there was no option for both. But looking on the options, travel assist now comes with predictive adaptive cruise control, how do you know if you have pACC and not just ACC. I notice there is no option for pACC on it own. I have to go to the dealers later so will ask all my new questions about the car then. As I have already got my new car these are just things I have wondered about since I have been driving it and trying everything out.

Travel assist or adaptive cruise control
When you select it, it says travel assist activated so it seems to be a feature and you can also just turn on ACC without travel assist. Yes travel assist includes ACC , lane assist and traffic jam and road sign but not blind spot. I just wanted to know when you are meant to be using either just ACC or Travel assist as you can have either operating.

Travel assist or adaptive cruise control
I have just recently got my Kodiaq and was just wondering what the main difference between travel assist and adaptive cruise control is. I have both on my car but wondered when either should be used. Is Acc for motorways and travel assist for non motorways or should travel assist be used always rather than just Acc. It may be a silly question but never having anything on a car like, just cruise control before, I am not sure which one I should be using and when.

Kodiaq mats
I find that textile mats always seen to get grubby no matter how hard you try and keep them clean. I just wanted something easy to clean especially with kids in the car. Once fitted I think they look good as they fit perfectly and are designed for the car but each to their own.

Kodiaq mats
I just got a set of the Skoda original rubber mats for the Kodiaq. They were off eBay, a set of all 4 with the tunnel cover with a buy it now. All fitted and they fit really well. We decided to go for all rubber mats as easier to keep clean compared with the textile ones we had in previous cars. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Skoda-Kodiaq-Rubber-mats-set5/254760698866?fits=Car+Make%3ASkoda|Model%3AKodiaq&epid=15020905283&hash=item3b50ebc3f2:g:3rUAAOSw4kVfl9nL

How to change clock to 24H?
Could you try and delete yourself as a user and then set yourself back on. Not sure if that would work but maybe worth a go or live with the clock as 12h

When I start the info system and select my user profile I get this configuration screen. Then I press the icon I am pointing at. Then it is the page where you can change the date, time and change it to 24h Hope that helps. Not sure how you get into the config page if you have already selected donβt show again on the first picture but I am sure someone must know.
