  1. I would disagree with this as it’s a bit like just hitting your car with a power washer. Yes the loose large stuff will come but and road traffic film will need to be manually removed by touching. Not unless you’ve got some serious chemical assistance in your washer bottle. I have the “cheap knock off”’as you put it and I haven’t cleaned it or the car since last Sunday. Here’s the pic after my commute this morning on torrential rain. As you can see it’s really not that bad and a quick wipe with a finger when I was in the boot cleans it up. Well worth the money saved over the OEM system that’s ghastly overpriced to say the least but then that’s how big business works I suppose.
  2. Mine arrived today, looking forward to giving it a bash next weekend
  3. Old thread resurrection. Will this work on 2017 FL SEL?? I can see the holes for the lights ok. Currently looking at 2 kits on a/express. Which one is best the one with LED’s already installed or the ones with incandescent bulbs that I can swap out for LED’s?? I’m thinking the latter as if an led board burns out it’ll be difficult to replace over just putting a new bulb in.
  4. I leave mine in auto for the coming home lights. The closet street light to me is over a mile away so every little helps
  5. I wish this was correct but it’s not as I tired this several times now and do not get WOT until I press through this switch. I first noticed it when I was overtaking a car on a country road and it wasn’t happening anywhere nearly quickly enough. I mashed the pedal harder through the switch and it was a totally different car. I would even hesitate to say it’s actually a tad dangerous if truth be told, having to press through it.
  6. Cheers, I wonder can it be removed as it’s totally pointless and actually threw me for six the first time I needed WOT to pass a car.
  7. Thanks for this. They were on this morning even though it was a bright autumnal morning. Sub was out too yet the lights were still on. I have played with the setting and will see how it goes.
  8. Noting stuck below the pedal I’m afraid. There is a definite click in the pedal mechanism through its movement towards full throttle.
  9. Another query. I have noticed my throttle pedal has a distinct point in its operation where it stops with light pressure. You then need to push harder to allow you to get full throttle. Has anyone seen this before?? 2017 SEL 2.0 TDI 6sp manual
  10. Does anyone else find that when they have their lights in the auto position that they are on an awful lot during bright daylight?? I also find that all my dash lights are on with the overhead lights that shine onto the gearstick area. Is there anyway the sensitivity can be adjusted as I see loads of other cars with auto lights and not on although perhaps the driver has the switch to off. I know I can do this but then what’s the point of having the function, I’d like to adjust if possible?
  11. Plus two for this as I’d like to remove the piano black surround and try lid to polish and ceramic coat. The last owner wasn’t to kind to mine.
  12. I bough these and fitted last week. I like them but I’m not overly impressed. For the price they are miles apart from the factory VAG dampers. They fit very well but don’t come with the correct washers. I know this is nitpicking but it’s a bit short imho at the price point. I hope they last buy honestly they are a world apart form the oem ones on all our other vag cars here.
  13. I got a discount on mine and it was about £30 delivered. The wash won’t bother me on the slightest as a jet of water is not enough to dislodge road grime in a UK winter. If it were we’d all just power wash our cars without making any contact. Much easier to keep a small microfibre and glass spray in the boot.
  14. We need a how to guide!! I’ve a Golf and a Bora In my garage minus the interiors for stereo and dab wiring so hopefully I’ll manage ok but this is the newest car I’ve ever owned so it’s a bit new fangled. Give me my MK4 PD or VR6 and I’m flying. This newer stuff baffles me at times
  15. Nice one, thank you so much. Now to find a fitting guide on ripping the interior apart lol
  16. So it’s handle A to fit 2017 FL Octavia hatch with nothing else required and no coding?
  17. Mirror dip is working and active. It doesn’t move a massive amount but it still moves and is useful when parking.
  18. This now fully works. I wonder what led bulbs I can find now to match the led headlights. Thank you for this. It’s done and working. I also got the comfort flashes changed to 5. It would appear that everything so far bar the dropping mirror works. I must look into the rear lights on with DRL’s like the Scandinavian option my A6 had. This was great for the winter and the dull days. I’ve upgraded all the lights to full LED bar the H21W fog light as I don’t have any in stock. They all work inside and out with not a single error code so far.
  19. No worries, I’ll give it a bash tomorrow. Thanks so much.
  20. Thanks, the page you first sent about the cornering lights what’s the top part as that would appear to be regarding temperature. Is that part of the fog light coding as this is the only thing that won’t work as yet
  21. I shut the computer down lol, went at it again and the comfort indicators and alarm chips now work although these are very very quite compared to other vag cars I’ve had. My Audi was very loud this is barely audible.
  22. Thanks for this but all I get is request out of range
  23. Thanks for this. I’ll give it a go later when the kids go to bed. I’ll have to reverse the coding I did that didn’t work first though. I was out fitting front mud flaps and some door sill protectors there and had a good look at the rear lights. LED’s for the normal C light and brake light with halogens for the fogs, indicators, and reverse lights. Both lights have fog light bulbs insitu.
