Airbag light - I assume I need to go to dealer to reset?
Just had a look and looks like @ibuprofenn is also Bedford so just sent him a message though he's not been on here since april it seems. Next nearest is @DGW in St.Neots or @nige8021in Milton Keynes if I don't get a reply in the next day or so as ideally would like it sorted before next Wednesday.

Less interest Detailing nowadays?...
This is what ive found for a just less than £200 as it's a larger car etc. https://bedfordvaletinganddetailing.com/valeting/prices/#tab-fa39bcc6e4e58c6ccc3 I don't know if that's a good start or not to be honest.

Less interest Detailing nowadays?...
Hmmmmmmm, how Ive taken care of my cars in the past.... Lets just say Ive never had a car I liked that much that I bothered doing much more than putting them through a car wash every so often The qashqai I've just got rid of probably had 3 washes in 3 years. But, this car I love! And I want to take good care of it, I've looked at getting it detailed by a guy locally which would be about £200 but it's a lot of money and wonder if it's something I can do so its a case of value for money etc? if that makes sense. I know not use use sponges, but to use microfibre mitts and Ive seen about the 2 bucket method? But that's about it. I'd love to give it some sort of protective coating too but don't really know where to start?

Airbag light - I assume I need to go to dealer to reset?
Im assuming there's no in car "trick" to reset this? Basically I'd fitted a nextbase dashcam and all good and fused to 34 so its off when ignitions off and I didnt trigger the airbag etc on fitting. However, last night I decided to change the fuse position to a live one when ignition off as want to make use of the parking mode where it will record when parked if the cars bumped? I changed it to fuse 6 which I checked with a multimeter was live with ignition on. It is apparently for the automatic gearbox which is odd as mine is a manual. It was after this that Ive got an airbag light and the sos warning :-( This is on a 2018 Kodiaq if it makes any difference.

Aftermarket Front Sensors?
Interestingly this morning I had an email back from my local skoda dealer who said they would contact me about this over a week ago. Anyway, they are quoting £395 all in which is a number I might be happier with!

Aftermarket Front Sensors?
She don't drive, but I do have a 24 year old Mazda Bongo I can easily practice on i guess lol. Good to know.

Aftermarket Front Sensors?
Cheers mate. The dolphin sensors are the ones that keep popping up and have had some good feedback and awards even from the likes of auto express. I really don't want to go down the route of a seperate display but like your out of the box thinking on that one. I've had a couple of quotes for retrofitting and i know that would be the best option really but at the thick end of £750 Im leaning toward not bothering at all now to be honest.

What off road tyres do you use
Did you come to any conclusions?

About to buy a 2018 Kodiak 2l TDI Manual
KennyR beat me to it, mines the 2.0 TDI 4x4 too and has snow and off road buttons but again is the SEL.

Which Camper Van?
Just seen this and I would say it depends on how you want to approach it from a capability point of view ie if you're handy with the spanners etc. A reasonable (after a lot of research and being picky) Mazda Bongo / Ford Freda can be had for as little as £4000.

Aftermarket Front Sensors?
OK, not had my used Kodiaq a week and Im thinking that I'd like front parking sensors but seems a retrofit would be in the region of £500 to £700 fitted? I'm really not bothered about spending that much so looking at alternatives, so the "bolt on" number plate ones seem a bit naff and only cover the middle portion of the car, certainly not going to be much good on the very corners when parallel parking somewhere tight. So, Im thinking about https://www.parkingsensors.co.uk/product/audio-front-parking-sensors Any thoughts on this plan? Forgot to say, this seemed the best area to post this but if not please let me know.

Winter wheels?
Yeah, Im beginning to think the same at this point to be honest. That's a damn good point! LOL. And the only few times Ive ever been in proper winter conditions, one Ireland and one Wales I was in the qashqai which didn't handle the snow well at all, but also the other time was in a scenic and it handled it pretty well funnily.

Winter wheels?
So, rereading the whole thread even though I live here in East Anglia and that's the bulk of my driving and we don't get regular harsh winters then I'd likely not need them often. But, I can't decide if it would be a nice option to have for the odd hard winter and of course when driving to Ireland in winter or even the Outer Hebrides which I do every year or 2 for a holiday.

Winter wheels?
@SurreyJohn I've not specified a 4x4, it's what it was on the forecourt 2nd hand to me, this is not a brand new car from the dealer :-) As for the limitations of tyres / 4x4 etc don't worry, Im well aware :-) I also never said I wanted factory fit summer tyres for all year use, in fact I don't even know if they are the originals as I've not looked that closely yet only having the car less than a week but will now for the thread. OK, looks like I have 3x Pirellis which are Scorpion Verde and have these symbols on them whatever they mean and Ive googled til Im blue in the face, though I have found they are summer tyres. However for some reason one of the 4 is a Continental ContiSportContact5 which on googling is definitely a summer tyre. I've also watched that video which essentially does still advocate the different tyres for different seasons and all seasons still being a compromise arguably. Food for thought.

Skoda Kodiaq Dash Camera Installation Guide
Same, just did mine in less than an hour on a Sunday morning. :-) Just to say that I did it with a 522GW from Nexbase and for the £15 extra got the hardwire kit too. The hardwire kit has a plastic "lever" for those nooks and crannies as well as 3 different sized piggy back fuse holders, I used position 34 on the fusebox which does the aircon etc and it fitted very nicely. (I have bought piggy backs via ebay / amazon before and needed to file them down due to the poor moulding and this probably influenced my decision to buy the specific kit). I also already had a trim removal tool which made life very easy, https://www.amazon.co.uk/Removal-Fastener-Remover-Repair-Upholstery-Dashboard/dp/B06ZYHQ9XG/ref=sr_1_46?crid=38ARR2RY6E4HP&dchild=1&keywords=car+trim+removal+kit&qid=1601200737&sprefix=car+trim%2Caps%2C165&sr=8-46 which is less than a tenner on amazon, I had this for a previous job on my Mazda Bongo. You really do not need it but I used it and did make it a lot easier. Additionally, when removing the side panel with the passenger airbag switch, I turned off the airbag first (and learnt where the emergency key was in my keyless fob ) I have no idea if that influenced the fact that I didn't trigger an error or not, but can't see that it did any harm and yes, I did switch it back on :-)

Winter wheels?
Ah ok I get it now, it does seem that all season tyres would be the least hassle all round then.

Winter wheels?
I've never had a car that was nice enough that Ive ever bothered with wondering but...... "WTF are winter wheels?" Let me preface this with Im completely ignorant on the subject and am making an assumption that they are wheels you don't really care about during harsher winter months and save the good wheels for the better weather?

Electrical Faults on 19 plate
Bugger, ive just bought a nextbase 522gw and was planning having it on the live all the time otherwise the option of it recording should someone bump it when its parked wont work?

Kodiaq SEL or Edition 7 Seat
@JackKing same as me last week! I was looking at a 2 year old Black edition with 46000 on the clock and a cracked nearside wing mirror housing for £19999 in fact Ive just checked and its still available at https://usedcars.skoda.co.uk/en/used-cars/skoda/kodiaq/20-tdi-150ps-edition-5-seats-dsg-suv-mbcb7df however we went to Rochdale Skoda and found a 2018 also in black magic paint which is an SEL but with optional leather in tan/cream and 4x4 which only has 20000 miles for £23495. I spent the extra on the "lower" model but have struggled to see what Im losing out on to be honest other than the edition has a colour multifunction computer screen between the speedo and rev counter and mines black and white which doesnt bother me in any way. But also, Ive got a car that doesnt appear to have been abused like the stockport one and they only offered a 12 month warranty whereas the rochdale one comes with 2 years. Oh and both are the 2.0 diesel, the edition has an auto box and mine has the manual.
